To balance the difficulty of certain dungeons, he is transmigrated into the timeline before the tragedy strikes. His mission? To play the "Cannon Fodder NPC"—the very catalyst of the horror.

If he can soothe the Boss’s resentment and lower the game's difficulty, he clears the level. Wen Ruyu thought it would be a walk in the park. Wen Ruyu transmigrates into a "Sea King" (pro-fisher) who steals photos to juggle multiple online boyfriends. In the original plot, the deceived men were so enraged they hunted down and slaughtered the actual owner of the photos. The victim’s grievance was so deep it birthed a horrific game world.

Wen Ruyu’s plan: expose his own lies so the "fish" would focus their murderous intent on him instead of the innocent victim.

Instance Two: [The Gold-Digging School Beauty]
The original host was a mercenary school idol who bled his "fish" dry to fund his secret crush. When that crush died, the host burned all his admirers alive in a fit of madness, creating a new nightmare instance.
