Leon had never mentioned the All-Attribute Constitution before. There had never been a need to. He never even considered the possibility that it could happen.

When Leon first read the "Introduction to Mana," there was a brief mention of the All-Attribute Constitution. It was just one line:

"[A talent spoken of only in legends; there's no need to consider it.]"

This sentence implied that possessing talent in all attributes was virtually impossible. It wasn’t just an extraordinary talent—it was a unique, unparalleled one. Leon had dismissed the idea entirely, knowing that expecting such a thing would only lead to disappointment.

But now, here it was, right before his eyes.

With trembling hands, Leon pressed "Apply."

Unlike when his constitution changed from a Single-Attribute to a Tri-Attribute, this time, as the new constitution took hold, his mind was overwhelmed. It was as if a black hole had formed in his brain, pulling everything into its void. And then, like the birth of a primordial universe, something compressed exploded outward with a bang.

"Aah..."

In that moment, Leon was enveloped in euphoria. It was a sensation far beyond the joy he had felt when he first awakened to mana. It was like the refreshing chill of plunging his brain into icy water and pulling it out.

As he opened his eyes, his perception expanded, seeming to cover the entire city. He felt as though he could bring every particle of mana in the atmosphere under his control. It was an overwhelming feeling of omnipotence, as if he could reach out and take anything he desired.

In a daze, Leon raised his hand, clenching and unclenching his fist repeatedly. This feeling was...

"Like I've become a god."

Leon indulged in this sensation for a while. Eventually, the hypersensitivity that made his hair stand on end began to subside. The initial sense of omnipotence faded, but the feeling of being able to control the surrounding mana at will remained. It was as if he had developed a new sensory system in his body.

Leon recalled the magic of Arpina that he had been studying on his own. Things that he hadn’t fully understood before now clicked into place, as if the pieces of a puzzle were finally fitting together.

"Oh, that's what that meant..."

New insights also emerged. In truth, Leon had started to feel a bit of a barrier with Arpina's magic. Arpina’s basic magic dealt with fire starting at the 3rd rank, but Leon didn’t have any innate talent for fire. This was one of the reasons he had wanted a new constitution. He feared that if he advanced to the 3rd rank with his previous limitations, his growth would slow down significantly.

"Wait… this might..."

As his understanding of Arpina’s magic deepened, Leon began to sense an almost mystical connection to the structure of this magic. It was as if he could create more efficient spell formations. However, this feeling remained elusive, just beyond his grasp. It seemed that his current level of magical knowledge was still insufficient to fully unlock this understanding.

Leon decided to set aside that ambiguity for now.

"This means I need to focus even more on training!"

He was confident that as he continued to train, he would eventually grasp this elusive knowledge. The rewards for his consistent training had already paid off handsomely.

Diving Deeper into Training

Following this epiphany, Leon became even more absorbed in his training.

"This is the perfect time to push for the 3rd rank."

Another month passed. Leon consumed all 20 of the F-rank elixirs he had been saving, boosting his mana quality from E-rank to E+. It was thanks to nearly 100 F-rank essences he had consumed. Although he had hoped to find an E-rank essence to raise his mana quality even further, he hadn’t been expecting it, and he was content with the progress he had made.

As his understanding of mana and elixirs grew, Leon realized that even the same elixir could be absorbed differently depending on his talent.

"So, this changes with talent too?" he mused, feeling a mix of awe and frustration. Talent really was everything...

With this realization, he was even more determined to train harder. His progress was astonishingly rapid, and within a month, Leon stood on the brink of reaching the 3rd rank.

Five months after reaching the 2nd rank, Leon finally ascended to the 3rd rank, with 30 hours left in the Space-Time Orb.

Growth Assistant Status

Name: Leon
Rank: Apprentice 3rd Rank
Mana Quality: E+
Attribute Constitution: All-Attribute Constitution (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Wood, Electricity, Light, Darkness)

Regular Quest ▶ Basic Magic Training (Complete)

Breakthrough Quest ▶ Rank Advancement (Complete)

Leon casually completed the Breakthrough Quest.

▶ Your reward probability has increased due to your rank advancement.
▶ You have been granted 300 additional hours in the Space-Time Orb.
▶ Please choose your additional rank advancement reward.
▶ Artifact (D+ Grade Guardian Golem Summoning Flute) / Magic Book (D+ Grade Basic Mental Purification Magic)

Leon had hoped for an elixir to raise his mana quality to D-rank, but the rewards had changed. He briefly thought back to the E-Grade Triple Flame Orb scroll he had used against Porun. If an E-Grade spell was effective against a 3rd-rank apprentice, then a D+ Grade artifact should be useful against 4th or 5th-rank magicians.

After some thought, Leon chose the artifact that would summon a golem. A green flute with strange engravings appeared in his palm. He felt that a physical defense tool was more necessary at his current level. The D+ Grade Mental Purification Magic seemed less useful, especially since he couldn’t be sure it would work effectively if a situation involving mental contamination arose.

Leon stored the flute in his subspace and turned his attention to the regular quest rewards.

Since acquiring his new constitution, Leon had alternated between choosing elixirs and artifacts as his rewards. While the rewards hadn’t drastically improved, he occasionally received E-Grade elixirs or artifacts, likely due to the increased reward probability.

So far, he had collected:

The Low-Grade Mana Enhancement Ring slightly increased his mana capacity, but he had yet to wear it, keeping it hidden in his subspace to avoid drawing attention. The honey candy had a similar effect, but as a one-time use item, it wasn’t particularly useful to Leon, who could simply enter the orb to recover his mana.

Leon then completed the regular quest.

▶ You have obtained the Bracelet of Hidden Mana (B+).

“Oh?”

Leon looked at the black bracelet now sitting in his palm.

A "Hidden Mana" bracelet? Could it conceal mana?

Leon immediately put it on.

He spent some time experimenting with the bracelet, injecting mana into it and testing its functions.

And then he understood why it was rated as B+.

As Leon had expected, the bracelet could indeed conceal mana. But its effects went far beyond his expectations.

He could control it entirely at will.

Leon could hide his mana as if he were a 2nd or 1st-rank magician, or even make himself appear as a mere commoner if he wished.

This was exactly the kind of artifact Leon needed, especially after relying on lower-grade mana concealment spells.

A satisfied smile spread across Leon’s face.

“Ha… ha…”

Not long after obtaining the All-Attribute Constitution, Leon had acquired the Bracelet of Hidden Mana.

“Now I won’t have to worry so much about being caught as a magician.”

Relishing his newfound joy, Leon lay down where he stood.

He was exhausted after spending several nights pushing himself to reach a new rank.

Focused on Potions

Having stocked up on a decent number of scrolls for any potential battles, Leon now focused on switching all his rewards to elixirs. With constitution no longer an option, the choice became much easier.

He spent the next month stabilizing his 3rd rank and continuing his training.

It had been about a year since Leon had arrived in Widia when Leah visited him after a long absence.

She met Leon in the waiting area where he worked. Leah looked a bit more mature than the last time he had seen her.

“Or maybe it just seems that way because it’s been so long,” Leon thought.

Leah was also eyeing Leon closely. He had concealed his rank as 1st-rank using the Bracelet of Hidden Mana.

“High-ranking magicians can usually assess the rank of lower-ranking magicians at a glance…”

But Leon couldn’t gauge Leah’s rank—he didn’t know how to.

“Is it a common magic that Arpina or Porun mentioned?”

While Leon was lost in thought, Leah, apparently satisfied with her inspection, finally spoke.

“You seem to be doing well these days,” she said.

“Do I?” Leon replied.

“Yeah, you look good.”

Leon touched his face briefly. He had been doing well, after all—he’d hit the jackpot with the gacha. Had it been that obvious?

“How have you been?” Leon asked.

“I’ve been training hard under my master’s guidance. Lately, she’s been urging me to reach the 2nd rank quickly. If I do, I’ll be one of the fastest among Widia’s students. She said that if I had started training a bit earlier, I could have become the youngest to reach the 2nd rank.”

If being 13 and reaching the 2nd rank was considered fast, then the record for the youngest must have been around 10 or 11. Considering Leah’s talent, that wasn’t a huge difference.

“What about that boy, Rowen?” Leon inquired.

“Rowen is Melrn’s disciple. He recently reached the 2nd rank, so my master doesn’t say it, but I can tell she wants me to catch up to him quickly.”

“Really? Well, he started training much earlier, so…”

Leon offered words of comfort to Leah.

“Still, judging by what she’s saying, it sounds like Leah is still at the 1st rank,” Leon thought.

“Yeah… but Leon, are you interested in Rowen?”

“Hmm?”

Leon’s face displayed a question mark as he tried to process what Leah had just asked. Interested in Rowen? Leon was only curious about him because he had heard that Rowen also had the Six-Attribute Constitution.

“I heard you met him a few times while working under your master. Did you like him?”

Leon briefly recalled Rowen’s annoyed expression.

Interested? No way…

Leon shook his head firmly.

“Of course not. I don’t like him.”

“…Really?”

“Yeah. But why do you ask?”

“Oh, I just wondered if you were starting to notice the opposite sex…”

Leon chuckled. If it were about noticing training instead of the opposite sex, he would have admitted it right away.

After that, Leon and Leah talked about various everyday topics. When their conversation began to wind down, Leah spoke more cautiously.

“Actually… next week, there’s a public sparring match among the professors’ disciples… Could you come and cheer for me?”

“….”

Leon instinctively wondered if he had any time outside of training next week.

Maybe because he didn’t respond immediately, Leah’s face fell.

“If you’re too busy…”

“No, I’ll come,” Leon quickly assured her.

“I did accept that subspace pouch from her, after all. It would be pretty shameless to ignore this….”

And so, Leon made up his mind to attend.
