After the 99th Confession , The Cold School Beaut…
Chapter 3 Table of contents

In Dorm 606, Ji Yan stood in front of a full-length mirror, holding a green dress.

After considering it for a while, she tossed it onto her bed. This was the seventh outfit she had tried on but wasn’t satisfied with.

Next, she picked out a sky-blue dress, thinking it looked nice. Yet, she worried that Qin Luo might not like the color. Ji Yan frowned, looking conflicted.

Jia Ting walked over and patted her shoulder, startling her. “What are you doing? You scared me!” Ji Yan snapped.

“Is that really necessary?” Jia Ting rolled her eyes.

Shi Yulu giggled, “Our school beauty is nervous.”

Hao Meng chimed in, “Well, she’s about to accept Qin Luo’s confession. Ji Yan has never been in a relationship, so of course she’s nervous.”

“Don’t be silly. I’m not nervous. I’m just…” Ji Yan tried to defend herself but couldn’t find the right words. She gave up and continued to hold the dress in front of the mirror.

She was indeed nervous. Despite Qin Luo having confessed to her 99 times, today she planned to accept. Ji Yan had to admit she was moved by Qin Luo’s persistence.

Throughout her life, many boys had pursued her for her beauty, but she had rejected them all. Her aloof personality developed as a defense mechanism to deter unwanted attention and avoid trouble.

When she first met Qin Luo, she thought he was like all the others, just attracted to her looks. She paid no mind to his first confession. Nor the second. But by the 10th confession, she was puzzled by his persistence.

With each subsequent confession, Qin Luo slowly melted her cold personality. Before she realized it, Ji Yan found herself liking him. She didn’t want him to remain disappointed.

Today marked the end of his 99 confessions. She was ready to accept him on his 100th try. Her roommates were initially shocked by her decision but then felt relieved. They believed Ji Yan should give Qin Luo a chance, given his unwavering efforts.

Watching Ji Yan change outfits in front of the mirror, Jia Ting couldn’t help but say, “This one looks great. Just go with it.”

Ji Yan shook her head, hesitating. “I’m not sure if he likes sky blue…”

Jia Ting exaggerated, “Oh, you’re already worrying about his preferences before even dating?”

Ji Yan put down the dress and said softly, “I might have liked Qin Luo for a while now. Maybe it’s his persistence or something else. But I’m sure he’s different from other guys. He genuinely likes me, so… I want to give it a try. At least this time, I don’t want to disappoint him.”

Hearing Ji Yan’s sudden determination, her three roommates smiled warmly.

Hao Meng said cheerfully, “Don’t worry. He’ll love your outfit. You’re so beautiful, you’d look good in anything. And when you accept his confession, he’ll be overjoyed and won’t even notice what you’re wearing.”

“Yes, I need to record his reaction. When we have dinner with our dorm mates, we can laugh at it,” Shi Yulu added eagerly.

The girls chatted excitedly, constantly checking the time. They knew Qin Luo always came to confess at 1 PM, except on holidays.

As it neared 1 PM, Ji Yan became restless. She kept glancing out the window, looking conflicted and expectant, unsure of how to face Qin Luo.

Should she respond coolly, “I’ll give you a chance because of your persistence,” happily say, “Sure, let’s be together,” or nonchalantly, “Let’s give it a try.”

What would be the best way to respond? Ji Yan was anxious, torn between expressing her feelings genuinely and fearing being seen as insincere.

It was almost 1 p.m. Her three roommates stood on the balcony, looking down.

“A lot of people are gathered at the entrance.”

“They’re probably here to see Qin Luo’s confession. It’s the 100th one, after all. Quite memorable!”

“But why isn’t Qin Luo here yet? It’s already 1 PM!”

They exchanged surprised looks. Qin Luo was always punctual. If he came to confess, he was never late.

Suddenly, they got a bad feeling as they looked at Ji Yan.

Ji Yan tried to stay calm, but she was anxious. She said casually, “Maybe he’s delayed by something,” while inwardly she was shouting, “I’m ready! Why aren’t you here yet?”

Her roommates also thought Qin Luo might have been delayed and was either on his way or about to arrive. They didn’t even consider the possibility that he wouldn’t come.

At first, when Qin Luo’s confessions were rejected, people thought he wouldn’t come back. But as he persisted, everyone saw how determined he was. His resolve seemed unbreakable, as if he would never give up until Ji Yan accepted.

The girls in Dorm 606 eagerly awaited Qin Luo. Ji Yan pondered how to respond, and her roommates were excited to see his reaction.

However, as minutes passed—one, five, ten—Qin Luo never showed up. They grew anxious, realizing something was wrong.
