Ji Yan ultimately did not sit in the empty seat next to Qin Luo, which left him slightly disappointed. It wasn’t about missing the chance to sit next to the school beauty; it was about missing the opportunity to dig into this ‘gold mine.’

Ji Yan, a unique and aloof beauty, had never been seen sitting next to any boy in class before. Qin Luo had deliberately driven away the flirtatious girl to encourage Ji Yan to act out of character, hoping to extract some “gold” from this glittering mine. Unfortunately, Ji Yan didn’t come over after all.

Qin Luo could somewhat understand her feelings. Maybe she initially wanted to sit next to him, but that girl’s interruption dampened her spirit. If she had sat down from the start, it would have seemed natural. However, moving over now would appear too deliberate.

People care about their pride. Qin Luo did, and so did an aloof girl like Ji Yan.

Qin Luo didn’t necessarily want to get entangled with Ji Yan again. After much thought, he decided to go with the flow, focusing primarily on “mining.”

Emotions only slow down his mining speed.

He was an emotionless gold miner.

That was how Qin Luo currently saw himself.

The public lecture ended, and Qin Luo hadn’t paid much attention.

He spent the entire class listening to songs—not from his phone, but directly in his mind.

The system had rewarded him with a ‘one-time opportunity to create a perfect song,’ which manifested as a library of songs implanted in his mind. This library contained a variety of classic, melodious songs that Qin Luo had never heard before. According to the system, these were masterpieces from a parallel world.

Qin Luo currently had one chance to choose a song and make it a classic in this world. So, he listened intently, pondering which song to choose. The choice was tough because all the songs were excellent. If possible, he wanted to create them all. Thus, a legendary singer would be born.

Seeing Qin Luo sitting with his eyes closed and a mysterious smile on his face, Wang Chen couldn’t help but nudge him, “Brother Luo, class is over.”

Qin Luo glared at him with displeasure, “You interrupted a legendary creation.”

“What?” His three roommates wore puzzled expressions.

The aspiring legend didn’t bother to explain and was about to get up and leave when he noticed a familiar figure approaching.

It was Ji Yan, holding a bottle of Coke.

She walked up to Qin Luo without saying a word, placed the Coke in front of him, and left like an emotionless service staff at KFC.

What? KFC was self-service?

Never mind then.

[You gained +1 Stamina]

[You gained +1 Endurance]

[You gained a High-Efficiency Workout Bracelet]

As the system voice faded, Qin Luo felt something in his pocket. Reaching in, he found what seemed to be a bracelet.

He didn’t examine it immediately but picked up the Coke Ji Yan had left, watching her leave the classroom with a complex expression.

His three roommates made clicking sounds with their tongues.

“Seriously, Brother Luo, I’m jealous.”

“After all, she’s the school beauty. Brother Qin, you should just go for it.”

“Good buddy, since you’re not interested in Ji Yan anymore, can I have the Coke?”

The last comment came from the lewd-looking Li Xuan, who received a disdainful side-eye from Qin Luo, “You’re so fat already, and you still want to drink Coke?”

At 170 cm tall and 150 pounds, Li Xuan was displeased, retorting, “How am I fat? This is all self-love!”

“Sure, sure, whatever you say,” Qin Luo smirked, opening the bottle and taking a sip.

Refreshing and sweet.

Just a bit gassy.

Friday, 5:30 AM.

Qin Luo woke up unusually early, dressed in cool workout clothes, and quietly got out of bed.

The noise woke Wang Chen, who sleepily asked, “Brother Luo, why are you up so early?”

“Morning run.”

“Morning run? Since when do you do that?”

“Starting today. Wanna join?”

“No, I’m not fat like Li Xuan.”

From the side, still half-asleep, Li Xuan mumbled, “How am I fat…”

His sleep-talking made Qin Luo and Wang Chen chuckle.

Leaving the dorm, Qin Luo took out a black bracelet and strapped it onto his left wrist. It looked like a headband without any display screen.

Initially, he thought it was a high-tech fitness tracker to improve workout efficiency. But the system explained it was a mystical tool.

Wearing it would apply a ‘workout buff,’ meaning each push-up would count as two or three, with reduced fatigue. It allowed longer, more intense workouts, turning a skinny guy into a muscular hunk or a weakling into a strongman.

Even someone as chubby as Li Xuan could develop an eight-pack in a short time. It also corrected workout posture and movements for maximum and optimal results.

Such a magical item couldn’t be created by current technology, not even black technology, hence it was mystical.

Wearing the bracelet, Qin Luo jogged to the field, and felt much lighter.

The only issue was a sense of imbalance, like being pulled while running. Qin Luo knew it was the bracelet adjusting his running posture.

After a short while, the imbalance disappeared, and he felt his movements become more agile.

The 700-800 meter jog from the dorm to the field left him not panting or sweating, which was unusual given his lack of exercise habit. This was due to the bracelet’s buff and the previous increase in stamina and endurance from the gold mine reward.

Qin Luo was quite pleased.

Arriving at the field, he planned to warm up with ten laps when he noticed a familiar figure…
