Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have …
Vol. 1 Ch. 46 Table of contents

Chapter 46: What is your wedding anniversary?

A couple sat upright with serious expressions, their backs straight, and hands placed on their knees, resembling elementary school students attentively listening in class.

However, despite appearing “ready for the interview” on the surface, their hearts were panicking. While Principal Wilson lowered his head to discuss with the dean beside him, Leon looked ahead, slightly leaning towards Rosvitha, and whispered,

“Should we just kill them?”

“The suggestion you made is not bad, Dragon Slayer, but let’s not bring it up again.”

“What do we do now? We haven’t prepared anything for the interview!”

Rosvitha closed her eyes, took a slow breath, and exhaled, “Let’s adapt on the fly.”

Cough, cough—

Principal Wilson cleared his throat twice, “Alright, gentlemen, let’s officially begin the interview process now.”

Rosvitha managed a polite smile, “Certainly, Principal.”

“Oh, please don’t be nervous. This is our first time trying interviews at our school, so it won’t be too strict. Just relax, both of you.”

The couple exchanged a glance and remained silent.

Principal Wilson picked up a stack of papers in front of him and leisurely asked,

“Do both of you still remember your wedding anniversary?”

As if thunderstruck, the couple froze on the spot. Unexpectedly, the principal’s first question almost killed the competition. But to pass the interview smoothly, Rosvitha quickly responded after a brief brain freeze, “Ah, I remember, of course. How could I forget such an important day?”

Leon cast a glance at her.

Oh, Lady, we have a child before marriage. Where does the wedding anniversary come from? Leon thought.

Rosvitha happened to look at him, secretly signaling him with her eyes. Leon was flustered, but he could still tell that this look hinted at something.

Although they didn’t have a specific wedding anniversary, a day from two years ago held more significance than their wedding.

Rosvitha: “It’s in the year 1733 of the Genesis Calendar—”

They both said in unison, “May 25th.”

In 1733 of the Genesis Calendar, on May 22nd, the Imperial Dragon Slaying Army’s Leon squad launched an attack against the Silver Dragon Clan. However, Leon was betrayed, defeated, and captured during the battle. Three days later, on May 25th, Leon used the Blood Pact to unite with the Silver Dragon Queen, leading to her pregnancy.

Seeing the couple so synchronized, Principal Wilson was slightly surprised, “Just married for two years, and your child is starting school quite early.”

“Yes, Principal.”

Rosvitha tidied her hair, taking the opportunity to sigh with relief.

“So, in these two years of marriage, have there been any habits or behaviors of the other person that you couldn’t tolerate?”

“No,” Rosvitha responded instantly.

Wilson nodded, then looked at Leon.

Leon furrowed his brow, pondered for a moment, and replied, “Yes.”

Hearing this, Rosvitha became a bit flustered.

What was this jerk up to?

He could have just said no to skip this question!

But Principal Wilson didn’t know the underlying reason behind Leon’s words. He simply nodded approvingly after hearing it.

“How did you two get married initially? Was it a love match, or did elders in the clan introduce you?” the principal asked.

“Oh, we… it was love at first sight, then we dated freely, and then—”

Rosvitha looked to Leon for help.

Leon quickly took over, “Then we eloped, um, we eloped.”

Eloped?

Flash pregnancy!

The vice principal was slightly surprised, “Eloped? Making such a quick decision, it must be a special fate that has kept you two together until now, right?”

The couple (smiling with narrowed eyes): “Principal, you’re really perceptive.”

“Miss Rosvitha, what do you find most attractive about your husband?”

The shining point on this guy…

Rosvitha glanced at Leon beside her, pondered for a moment, and then said,

“Focused, serious, intelligent, not oily, responsible, likes children, and rarely gets angry with anyone.”

After a pause, she added, “On a more superficial note, he’s handsome with a good physique, but…”

Principal: “Just that?”

“So, my husband is good at alchemy and uses various medicines to maintain his health, right?”

Leon’s mouth twitched slightly.

He thought that Rosvitha was finally going to praise him wholeheartedly. But unexpectedly, she added another twist at the end.

“So, I also want to take this opportunity during the interview to say something to my husband.”

Saying this, Rosvitha reached out and gently placed her hand on Leon’s shoulder.

Then, looking at Leon affectionately, she softly said, “Don’t push yourself too hard, I understand.”

“You understand a thing——”

Principal Wilson chuckled with his hand covering his mouth, finding this couple interesting.

“Alright, alright. You two are quite lively in your daily life. Now, the next question, what are your plans for the future?”

The couple regained their composure.

“Plans for the future? Could you be more specific, Principal?” Rosvitha asked.

“Ah, for example… Any plans for a second child?”

Leon silently covered his face and waved his hand, indicating that Rosvitha should answer this question.

Rosvitha awkwardly smiled,

“Well, we haven’t considered that yet. Actually, we already have two children at the moment—Noia and her twin sister. So, in terms of planning… We’ll focus on raising these two kids before considering a second child. What do you think, Leon?”

Principal: “It’s already a family of four, very happy indeed.”

“Thank you, Principal.”

Next, the principal asked some more questions. Leon and Rosvitha adeptly handled the questions, providing answers that were a mix of truth and fiction.

As the interview approached its conclusion, Principal Wilson spoke,

“So, at the end of the interview, let’s play a little game of ‘truth or dare.’ Now, you can ask each other a question to which you want to know the answer. If you choose to answer, please give your honest thoughts. We won’t force you if you don’t want to answer.”

The couple looked at each other.

To avoid potential pitfalls, Rosvitha replied directly, “I don’t have any questions for my husband. I know everything about him.”

“Alright, Mr. Leon, do you have any questions you’d like to ask your wife?”

Leon leaned back in his chair, his hand on his chin, with a slight furrow on his brow.

Rosvitha looked at him, wondering what question he would ask. Was he implying that she could be more lenient with him in the future? Or was he subtly expressing his desire to return to the empire? It was related to one of these aspects.

After a brief pause, Leon looked at Rosvitha, meeting her silver eyes, and asked in a deep voice,

“Do you actually like the teddy bear I gave you?”

Rosvitha was shocked. She didn’t expect Leon to ask such a question. A question completely unrelated to their positions and any grievances.

Rosvitha’s pupils trembled slightly. She pursed her lips, adjusted a strand of hair behind her ear, lowered her gaze, and nodded.

“Yes, I really like the teddy bear you gave me.”

Perhaps even Rosvitha didn’t notice Leon asking, “Do you like it?”

But her response wasn’t a simple “like.”

It was more like—”really like.”

Sound of a clap—

Leon clapped his hands, “OK, I’m fine now.”

Principal Wilson stood up,

“So, the interview concludes here. I hope both of you have a happy future. The assessment results will be sent to the Silver Dragon Temple by the Dragon of Trust tomorrow. Thank you again for your cooperation.”
