Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have …
Vol. 1 Ch. 72 Table of contents

Chapter 72: The couple entered the room

Just standing at the doorway, they thought there was a bit of “fun” here, but they didn’t expect there to be even more hidden mysteries inside.

Firstly, upon entering the room, a delicate fragrance wafted into their noses. It wasn’t overpowering, but it gave a sense of blissful relaxation.

Then, Leon walked into the transparent glass-walled bathroom, only to find that there was no shower curtain to separate it from the rest of the room. Moreover, the angle of the showerhead was directly facing the large bed in the room!

Coincidentally, the layout and furnishings of this room were very simple, with almost no corners or blind spots in sight.

In other words, whatever they did in this room would be clearly visible to each other—

Naturally, this included taking a shower.

Aside from the unconventional shower setup, there was a bathtub in the bathroom big enough to accommodate two people (plus a tail).

The bathtub itself wasn’t much to remark about.

But what was intriguing was that Isabella had scattered rose petals inside it!

And she had intentionally arranged them into the shape of a heart!

It seemed like Big Sister knew nothing and yet knew everything.

Leon didn’t dare linger in the bathroom for too long and quickly walked out. If he stayed a moment longer, who knows, he might have stumbled upon something even more stimulating.

That would have been an awkward situation to walk into—awkwardness to the max.

After leaving the bathroom, Leon saw Rosvitha standing by the window, gazing into the distance with a blank expression.

Leon walked over to her side, glanced at her, then followed her gaze, but there was nothing particularly noteworthy in sight. It seemed like she was just indulging in her usual “queen’s daydreaming.”

The two stood side by side for a while, and Leon spoke first.

“Your sister is indeed quite mischievous,” Leon said. “But she’s been good to me. It’s the first time since you captured me that I’ve felt like I have a comrade.”

Upon hearing this, Rosvitha snorted coldly. “I’ve known my sister for two hundred years, you’ve only known her for two hours. Just wait, you won’t be able to escape either.”

“Tch, I’m not afraid,” Leon retorted.

Rosvitha glanced at him but didn’t say anything more. She withdrew her gaze, turned around, and walked to the wardrobe in the room, intending to find some sleepwear.

Every time she stayed overnight at Isabella’s house as a guest, Isabella would carefully prepare everything Rosvitha needed. However, this time, when Rosvitha opened the wardrobe, she was stunned.

It wasn’t that Isabella had forgotten to prepare, but rather…

She had prepared too much!

Seeing Rosvitha standing in front of the wardrobe, Leon curiously walked over. Then…

He was dumbfounded too.

The smile on his face vanished instantly.

In the spacious wardrobe, the upper tier was filled with various uniforms, black stockings, and lingerie— the kind that would make people blush even if they weren’t worn; while the middle and lower tiers were filled with various… toys.

Candles, blindfolds, delicate chains, small whips—

Even handcuffs were there!

Rosvitha reached out, her slender fingers tracing over each piece of lingerie, then she picked up a small whip from below, held it in her hand, and gave it a flick, making a crisp sound.

Raising her gaze, Rosvitha smirked playfully at Leon. “I said you wouldn’t be able to escape.”

Leon took a half step back in fright, looking at the whip in Rosvitha’s hand, swallowing hard. “Y-you’re not really thinking of using these toys, are you…”

Rosvitha shrugged. “Who knows? What if…”

As she spoke, she leaned closer to Leon, continuously shaking the whip in her hand. “I want to try out a new plaything?”

“Your idea is great, but I suggest you don’t think about it anymore.”

Leon quickly took the small whip from her hand and threw it back into the cabinet, then promptly closed the cabinet door.

Rosvitha chuckled. “What’s wrong? Are you planning to sleep in these clothes?”

“What’s wrong? Are you planning to sleep in the clothes from this wardrobe?” Leon retorted.

“Why, are you afraid you won’t be able to resist me if I wear them?” Rosvitha teased.

Leon snorted and muttered, “I can resist even if you wear a bunny suit.”

“What did you say?” Rosvitha didn’t catch it clearly.

“Nothing. I’m tired, I want to sleep.”

“No sleeping without a bath!”

Before Rosvitha could finish her sentence, Leon leaped onto the bed like a carp. But in the instant he jumped, he was enveloped by something soft.

Leon froze, feeling the movement under the bed.

This feels…

“Is this still a water bed?!”

At that moment, Leon seemed to have an epiphany.

If Isabella could transform a dragon playground into a sister’s room, then she could also turn a couple’s S.M-themed suite into a marital chamber.

Transparent bathroom, petal-filled bathtub, sexy lingerie along with various props, and now even a water bed…

It’s hard not to suspect what the real purpose of the elder sister inviting them here might be.

Leon suddenly recalled the look Isabella gave him and Rosvitha when she closed the door just now.

It was like…

It was like locking up two endangered animals, waiting for them to mate, reproduce, and revitalize the species, only then would that look appear.

Leon bounced on the water bed, looking blankly at Rosvitha.

Obviously, Rosvitha also gradually realized her sinister sister’s intentions.

It’s not even bedtime yet, and she’s already up to so much mischief.

Rosvitha couldn’t help but wonder, when it’s actually time to sleep, will even more exciting things pop up?

And the most deadly thing is not these external factors.

The most deadly thing is herself and Leon.

Before, when they slept together, it was because they had no choice.

But now, lying together purposelessly for a whole night, this has never happened before.

They’ve always slept separately.

How can she possibly fall asleep?

And what if this guy steals the blanket at night? Or has nightmares and kicks his legs? Or treats her like a teddy bear and hugs her?

This is all risking Rosvitha’s life!

With Rosvitha weighed down by worries and Leon equally hesitant, as the saying goes, accompanying a king is like accompanying a tiger, but if he really had to spend the night with this mother dragon, he’d rather sleep with a tiger!

Anyway, ultimately, the relationship between these two is very delicate. What should have been done wasn’t done, and what shouldn’t have been done has all been done. This has led to the awkward situation of “kids running around everywhere but still acting shy like it’s their first love.”

Wait a minute—kids!

The husband and wife exchanged glances and instantly reached an agreement.

But Leon seized the opportunity and took the lead, “The daughters must be missing me. I’ll go play with them.”

Rosvitha didn’t argue either. As long as she didn’t have to sleep on the same bed with him tonight, she’ll let him say whatever he wants.

Leon left the room and went to the door of the sister’s room he was just in, knocking on it.

The sound of little footsteps inside quickly approached.

It was Muen who opened the door.

“Daddy!”

“You’re not asleep yet, Muen.”

“No, Aunt Isabella is playing with me and my sister~”

Upon hearing this, Leon was taken aback.

Isabella is here too?

Why would she be here?

Could it be… she anticipated that either Leon or Rosvitha would use the excuse of accompanying the children and then sleep separately?

With doubts in his mind, Leon picked up Muen and walked into the sister’s room.

Sure enough, on the carpet, Isabella was holding Noia, playing with some kind of puzzle blocks.

“Noia is so smart, is she smart like Daddy or Mommy?” Isabella pinched Noia’s little cheeks, not sparing her praise.

“Like… Aunt.” Noia replied.

“Oh, little Noia is so articulate, let Aunt give you a kiss~”

With that, Isabella planted a big kiss on Noia’s face.

Ah, the milky scent of the little dragon, so refreshing~

“Sis, what are you guys playing?” Leon smoothly joined the trio’s game. He sat down cross-legged, holding Muen.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet?” Isabella didn’t answer Leon directly but asked back.

“Oh, I… I wanted to come and accompany the daughters, afraid they wouldn’t recognize the bed and couldn’t sleep.” Leon fabricated an excuse.

“They won’t, they’re very obedient, they won’t have trouble sleeping, right Noia?”

“Mm.”

“See, Noia even said ‘Mm’, so there shouldn’t be a problem!”

“Sis, maybe you don’t understand Noia, whenever you ask her a question, most of the time she just replies with ‘Mm’. Right, Noia?”

“No.”

Leon: …

I’m your dad, I’ve known you for two months, and you’ve known her for only two hours, and yet you’re siding with her like this!

“So, it’s enough for me to accompany the good babies here, you go back and enjoy your time alone with little Lo.” Isabella, is this your true intention, big sis?

Muen wagged her little tail in Leon’s arms, “Mommy and Daddy are sleeping together~ Yay~”

Leon patted her head with the little tuft of hair, “Children shouldn’t say such

things.”

“Ugh…”

“Muen, come to Aunt Isabella!” Isabella beckoned to Muen.

Muen immediately abandoned her old father and ran towards Isabella.

Isabella hugged her from both sides, wearing a genuine auntie smile.

“Alright, hurry back, don’t keep little Lo waiting.”

That’s the eviction order issued.

Leon’s lifeless, not even a spark left in him.

He had no reason to linger here any longer.

He simply stood up, muttered “Have fun,” and returned to the couple’s suite he had just left.

Rosvitha lay on the water bed, leaning against the headboard. By now, she had changed into a relatively normal nightgown, although it was still a bit short. She used a pillow to cover her legs.

Her hair was still damp, indicating she had just finished showering.

The sheer nightgown hugged her sensual curves, making one’s blood boil.

The queen crossed her arms, seemingly anticipating Leon’s “defeat.”

“Fifteen minutes. You didn’t even last fifteen minutes,” Rosvitha remarked.

“Your sister was there too. She managed to sway Noia and Muen to her side, they didn’t even speak up for me,” Leon defended himself.

Rosvitha chuckled lightly. “Hmph, and you say the daughters like you the most. Please tell me, what do they like about you? Keeping your distance?”

Leon shrugged. “You’ve got time to mock me, why don’t you go try it yourself?”

“I will try, and I’m sure the daughters won’t treat me like that.”

Leon bent down, extending his hand in a “please” gesture.

Rosvitha pushed the door and left—

In a blink, he pushed the door open again.

The whole ordeal didn’t even last thirty seconds.

Clap—clap—clap—

Leon leisurely clapped his hands, mimicking Rosvitha’s tone from earlier, “The daughters definitely wouldn’t treat me like that~~~”

Rosvitha attempted to explain, “I… I can’t go find the children dressed like this, can I?”

“Then why don’t you change into normal clothes?”

“I can’t, I’ve already taken a shower.”

Leon sighed, getting to the point, “So, how are we sleeping tonight?”

Rosvitha’s gaze swept around the room, realizing that aside from the water bed, the only place to lie down was the bathtub.

Leon also noticed this.

So, here’s the question.

“Who’s sleeping in the bathtub?” The couple looked at each other and said simultaneously.

After a brief exchange of glances, Rosvitha said, “You sleep.”

“Me? Come on, the bathtub is filled with water. If I sleep in there for the night, the next day you’ll see a handsome and dashing floating corpse.”

“Well, can’t you just drain the water and then lie down?”

Leon blinked, as if waking from a dream, “Oh, you make a good point.”

Rosvitha silently facepalmed, “Idiot…”

After sorting it out, Rosvitha and Leon each headed to their respective “nests” for the night.

Rosvitha had never experienced this kind of intimate novelty before, so she felt a bit awkward lying down, quickly pulling the covers over herself. She leaned against the headboard, watching Leon walk into the transparent bathroom and then fumbling around in the bathtub.

A moment later, Leon walked out of the bathroom with an indescribable sense of helplessness on his face.

Rosvitha scrutinized him, “What’s wrong?”

“Your elder sister blocked the bathtub drain.”

Rosvitha: ?

“Since she could predict that we might sleep in separate rooms, she must have predicted other possibilities, such as one person sleeping in the bed and the other in the bathtub,” Leon explained. “So, she sealed off the bathtub drain in advance.”

Leon considered himself quite cunning. After all, reaching the level of a top dragon slayer required a clever mind. But he never expected to be manipulated by Rosvitha’s relative like this today.

They were now like two hamsters trapped on a spinning wheel, no matter how hard they tried to struggle, they couldn’t escape.

Rosvitha also felt utterly helpless, “My sister is getting more cunning by the day…”

Leon spread his arms, “So, what do we do now?”

Rosvitha looked at the enormous water bed beneath her and then at the dragon slayer who had nowhere to sleep.

After a moment of brainstorming, she clenched the bedsheet, bit her lip, and whispered, “Come up here and sleep.”

“Where?”

“On the bed.”

“With you?”

Rosvitha couldn’t bear to look at him, “Um… with me.”

The mischievous thoughts in Leon’s mind surged again, and he repeated incredulously, “You want me to sleep with you on the same bed?”

“Are you going to sleep or not? If you don’t, you won’t be sleeping tonight at all. We’ll play with every toy in the wardrobe. How does that sound?” Rosvitha threatened.

Leon quickly dove onto the bed, only to be kicked off by Rosvitha.

“Go take a shower. Get in bed after you’re done,” she commanded.

Leon rolled his eyes, patted his bottom, and headed to the bathroom. Before undressing, he leaned against the door, scratching his head. “You’re not going to peek, are you?”

“Who would peek at you, idiot!” Rosvitha replied, using a pillow to block her view directly.

A few seconds later, the sound of running water filled the bathroom. Rosvitha remained vigilant, keeping the pillow in place to shield her eyes.

The Silver Dragon Queen, she delivers what she promises!—

Wait a minute.

He’s my prisoner, why does he get to make demands? I’ve seen every inch of him, what haven’t I seen?

The decision is mine, if I want to look, I’ll look!

Hmm… better not.

There’s really nothing interesting to see, I’ve seen it all before!

It’s not like I’m scared!

With one black and one white little Rosvitha chirping incessantly on her shoulders, Rosvitha decided to bury her head under the covers.

A few minutes later, the water stopped, followed by the gentle swaying of the water bed and the pleasant scent of shower gel wafting into the covers.

He must have climbed onto the bed.

Only then did Rosvitha poke her head out from under the covers. She glanced sideways at Leon. Fortunately, the water bed was large enough, leaving a considerable distance between him and her.

This is probably the only miscalculation Isabella made. She thought that preparing a super-sized water bed would be enough for this couple to thrash around on. But it only served to establish a clearer boundary between them, where neither could touch the other.

As the night grew darker, the entire Red Dragon Temple fell into silence. The estranged couple lay unusually awake, staring at the ceiling with bright eyes. Despite the late hour, it was evident from their breathing patterns that neither had fallen asleep. Yet, it had been two hours since they lay down.

Leon had a premonition that if things continued like this, they wouldn’t be sleeping in another two hours either. So, he attempted small talk to alleviate the subtle tension between them. “Hey.”

“What?” Rosvitha responded.

“Where’s your tail?”

“Why?”

“Just asking, I didn’t see your tail when we lay down earlier.”

“I tucked it away,” Rosvitha replied. “Dragons automatically retract their tails when lying down or asleep.”

Leon pondered for a moment before asking again, “What if you forget? Would it get squashed?”

Rosvitha gave him a disdainful glance, “Do you forget to breathe when you sleep?”

“Oh, I see…”

“Yeah.”

With that, the educational small talk came to an end. The two fell into silence again. The room was so quiet that only their breathing and heartbeat could be heard.

Rosvitha pulled the covers over herself, but Leon didn’t dare to fully burrow under the covers. He left a large portion of his side exposed. The warmth inside the covers mainly came from Rosvitha’s body temperature.

Moreover, in such an intimate and cramped space, it was easy for any movement to inadvertently touch each other’s arms or other body parts. Would Leon dare to move? No, he wouldn’t!

Beside him, Rosvitha attempted to turn over and sleep on her side. But as soon as she moved, the water bed beneath her started to “ripple” and made a faint “sloshing” sound. Helplessly, Rosvitha gave up on the idea of turning over and laid flat.

They listened to each other’s heartbeat and breathing for over half an hour.

Suddenly, Leon threw off the covers and jumped off the water bed.

Hearing the movement, Rosvitha sat up and asked, “Where are you going?”

“I can’t sleep, just going for a walk,” Leon replied.

Leon put on his clothes and left the room. Passing by the sisters’ room, he pressed his ear against the door. There was no sound inside; the sisters should be asleep.

Leon sighed, hands in his pockets, and headed upstairs. He wanted to go to the rooftop and get some fresh air to calm down.

Arriving at the rooftop of the temple, Leon noticed that he wasn’t the only one unable to sleep tonight. A crimson figure stood at the railing, gazing into the distance, with a bottle of red wine on the nearby table.

Leon approached Isabella and stood beside her. “Still up at this hour, sister?”

Isabella glanced at Leon, then continued to stare into the distant mountains. “Yes, because I feel like one of you wouldn’t be able to sleep either.”

“I doubt many people could sleep in that room,” Leon teased.

Isabella covered her mouth and chuckled. “What’s wrong? Don’t like it? It was specially prepared for you two.”

Leon chuckled but didn’t respond. He glanced back at the small table and noticed that there were two wine glasses prepared. It seemed that Isabella had even accounted for chatting on the rooftop.

“Wanna drink?” Isabella suggested.

“Sure.”

Isabella picked up a glass and handed it to Leon, then proceeded to pour wine into both glasses. They lightly clinked their glasses and took a sip of the exquisite wine.

“I thought the one coming to the rooftop for some fresh air would be Rosvitha,” Isabella said. “The wine prepared is her favorite.”

Leon chuckled, “Should I go back and call her now? She’s still awake.”

Isabella chuckled, playfully scolding him with a glance. “There’s no need for that. Here, help me out.”

“Okay.”

They walked to the side, where Isabella kicked over a cardboard box. Leon recognized the box; it contained the love letters Rosvitha had thrown away in the past.

Isabella also brought over some sticks and stacked them together. Then, she raised her hand and shot out a flame from her palm, igniting the sticks.

She squatted down and took out a love letter from the box, tossing it into the fire. “Over a year ago, Rosvitha suddenly started writing frequent letters to me,” Isabella suddenly said.

Leon also crouched down, slowly tossing the love letters into the fire.

“She said she married a low-key dragon king in a secret marriage and was pregnant with his child.”

“I wished her well in the letters, but she didn’t seem very happy. You could sense that melancholy feeling between the lines… My sister, I know her the best.”

Leon silently watched the fire, the flames reflecting in his dark eyes. His thoughts stirred, recalling the time when he used the Blood Woe to impregnate Rosvitha, causing himself to pass out afterward. Going through the pregnancy alone, carrying the child of an enemy… She must have endured unbearable days back then.

“She always mentioned in the letters that you weren’t feeling well, always needing to sleep for long, long hours. When she was pregnant, it was only the maidservants taking care of her, including the days when Muen and Noia were born,” Isabella said casually.

“You should know, twins make pregnancy and childbirth much more difficult than a single child.”

Leon nodded softly.

Isabella’s words reminded Leon why Rosvitha always seemed melancholic and troubled. Apart from managing internal affairs and the mental and physical labor, she had to take care of a “sudden” family.

Undoubtedly, she loved her children, but behind that love was two years of loneliness and solitude. No one to accompany her, no one to confide in, only letters to her sister to alleviate her melancholy and sorrow.

“I even thought she married someone she didn’t like,” Isabella continued, “married someone less intelligent than her, a reckless and temperamental dragon who didn’t like children.”

She glanced at Leon as she spoke.

Leon ran his hand through his hair. “Do I look like that kind of dragon, sis?”

Sis, I’m not even a dragon. Isn’t that strange?

“You certainly aren’t, and after tonight’s brief interaction, I’m more convinced that Rosvitha made the right choice marrying you. She really likes you,” Isabella affirmed.

Leon acknowledged that Isabella was indeed a very astute person. However, he couldn’t agree with the statement “she really likes you.” He scratched his cheek, hesitatingly saying, “Sis, about that…”

“Yes, she interacts with you differently than with everyone else. When you two are together, it’s so relaxed, so comfortable. As a couple, you also maintain a friendship. But is it possible that we’re just archenemies…”

“Rosvitha isn’t good at expressing her emotions. I’ve never seen anyone make her let her guard down like this. You’re the second one, Leon,” Isabella continued confidently.

Leon was taken aback. “Who’s the first one?”

“Obviously, it’s me,” Isabella said proudly, pointing at herself.

“…Okay.”

Isabella burned the last letter in her hand. “Anyway, I’m telling you all this not to pressure you but to make sure you take care of my sister. She’s just come through the loneliest two years, but there are still many years ahead. You need to be there for her all the way.”

Isabella looked at Leon. “You’re a responsible man. You know how to make me feel at ease, right?”

Leon’s pupils trembled slightly as the fire in his eyes burned slowly.

To accompany her all the way… with a lifetime.

But we…

Leon still held the last letter in his hand, unconsciously clutching the corner of the envelope.

Seeing Leon’s silence, Isabella furrowed her brows slightly. “What’s wrong?

Don’t you—”

“I will, sis,” Leon interrupted.

Leon neatly folded the last love letter and slowly tossed it into the fire pit. The paper burned, turning into wisps of ashes.

“I’ll take care of Rosvitha, I promise,” Leon assured.

Isabella’s brows relaxed. “Hmph, kid, you better.”

Leon stood up, pounding his chest. “I really will. I didn’t take care of her during the first pregnancy. If there’s a second one, I’ll protect my wife and child with my life.”

Assuming there would be a second one.

Isabella chuckled at his bravado. “Alright, alright, enough showing off. Go back quickly, don’t keep Rosvitha waiting.”

Leon nodded and turned to walk towards the stairs leading back to the main building.

“Wait,” Isabella suddenly called out to him.

“Is there anything else, sis?”

“Tonight, don’t hold back. The soundproofing in that room is particularly   good.”

Leon: “I really appreciate it!”
