Max was shocked as he heard Odin reveal some of the most important secrets of the universe.
Not only did he reveal the origin of the seeds of power, he also explained how soulmancers came to be in this universe and how to truly kill a celestial one needed to destroy their soulmancers as well as their seeds of power.
"What about your connection to the perfect warrior? How do you know so much about the celestial realm while being a monarch?" Max asked as Odin took a deep breath and came to probably the most important part of this conversation.
" I'm not a mere monarch, Lord Max. Once upon a time, I was a celestial who ascended to tier9 too…." Odin said as Max's eyes widened in disbelief.
It was common knowledge that once one ascended to the celestial realm, they could no longer return to the universe and even if they did, the laws of the universe would not let them stay.
" Nobody hates the perfect warrior as much as I do, and nobody in their right minds would readily give their life up when they have reached the pinnacle of power like I did.
However, when I found out that to defeat a celestial one needed to kill not only the celestial but their soulmancer as well, I killed the previous soulmancer of the perfect warrior and took that spot for myself.
My connection with the perfect warrior is that of a soul-bond, just like you are soul-bound with dragon princess Mira. I'm his soulmancer, his eyes and ears in the universe as well as the individual who he has entrusted with the mission to find and enrich a talent that can one day bring him down" Odin said as his expression changed drastically as he narrated this tale, going from neutral to painful as he continued his story.
" I have fought him several times, he-he's not someone the average celestial can beat.
Not only is he faster and stronger than everyone around, he knows a counter to every tactic ever created and even those that have not been created.
Knowledge, Physical Abilities, Weapon wielding abilities and temperament, if these four aspects make a warrior then he has reached the pinnacle in all four of these aspects which is why he is called the Perfect Warrior.
I don't know how Shakuni is faring up there currently, however, in his first few fights against the perfect warrior he's going to face immense difficulty with the perfect warrior surely aiming for the seed of chaos that Shakuni has in his body.
If he can just reabsorb the seed of chaos, his power would increase by about 10% and killing him would get even more complicated, which is why it's a priority that Shakuni never gives up that ace card to the perfect warrior and destroys it at the right time to complete the trifecta to kill him" Odin said as Max had goosebumps running up and down his spine.
Never had he seen someone describe a warrior so perfectly yet so fearfully and the way Odin did it made Max feel like the name 'perfect warrior' was not just for show and that the perfect warrior might just be someone that nobody could surpass.
" So you're telling me, that you chose to become the soulmancer of the perfect warrior just so that when the right opportunity presented itself you could kill yourself and bring an end to the perfect warrior?" Max asked sceptically as this was the most absurd motive he had ever heard in his life.
" You might not understand me, however, i once used to be the most prideful warrior in this universe where my way of fighting was extremely noble and egoistic.
I never uttered a single lie and was hailed as a just and strong warrior across the universe, until I faced the perfect warrior in battle.
There i was humiliated on a weekly basis, my honour stripped from me and my beliefs ridiculed.
I guess it was my 50th fight with him, where he insulted me a bit too much and something inside me snapped as I decided that even if I could not beat him personally, I was going to nurture a warrior that could while also becoming a soulmancer and giving up my life when my nurtured warrior defeated him.
I made one last vow as a prideful warrior, and that vow was to bring down the perfect warrior.
If the universe permits, that'll be the last chapter in the story of Odin the immortal" Odin said with a soft smile on his face as Max somehow believed his words.
The passion in Odin's eyes as he dictated this tale seemed very real and somehow Max felt like he meant every word of it.
" Hmm, very well, I shall trust you for now" Max said as Odin's smile brightened even more.
" Nobody knows who Lord Shakuni's soulmancer is in this universe. Just like most other celestial's he has also chosen to hide his soul in this universe and it's one of those things that are impossible to find out as long as the soulmancer does not reveal themselves willingly.
We don't even know if he has just one soulmancer left behind or just like the two seeds he had left behind two soulmancers too, however, what we can be sure of is that he has chosen two heirs before ascending.
The most obvious choices would be Lord Kartikeya or Lord Jake, but unfortunately he did not choose either of them and I personally don't have any leads on who it could be" Odin said as Max smiled a knowing smile.
If it was his brother, he would have chosen someone exceptional to be his soulmancer and it would obviously be someone who would be very hard to detect.
Very soon, that individual could reach the realm of a monarch through the shadows and the universe would be none the wiser.
It was ironic, yet now as he sat at the seat of the Supreme Lord, Max realised that the true elites of the universe were hiding in the shadows while the council of monarchs were just the boastful few who made up the faces of power.
