( Planet Zandar )
Planet Zandar was traditionally a Titus clan stronghold.
Up until Ixtal was destroyed and Dombivli became the next vampire capital, Zandar was the symbol of vampire monarchy and it was the adopted home of the fallen Aurelius clan.
Currently the Aurelius clans official stronghold was a different planet, however, since the Red umbrella had penetrated the streets of Zandar deeply, Felix Aurelius preferred to stay in Zandar for his official work.
Of all the current vampire planets, if there was a place where Max was maybe not respected the most like a revenant god, it had to be Zandar, not only because the locals had their hero set to Vega Titus, but also because they did not respect Regus Aurelius or the vampire monarch as a whole since centuries.
On Zandar, people openly criticised and praised Max's policies and the overall atmosphere was much more open compared to Dombivli where speaking any ill of the monarch was like blasphemy.
When Kremeth observed this change, he was dumbfounded as he had never heard a vampire criticise his father before nor had he seen his father reacting to criticism.
When the duo passed by a commoner discussing how King Max was more interested in universal affairs than domestic ones, Kremeth would glance at Max to see his reaction, however, his father had none.
Max simply did not seem to care what others said and kept walking with the same indiscriminate expression on his face as if he did not hear it as just by observing his father, Kremeth learned a lot.
If even the cleaners in the palace badmouthed Kremeth, the boy often thought endlessly about those comments and sometimes went out of his way to win their hearts and change their opinions, however, even when thousands spoke ill about his father or questioned his judgement, he did not seem to be bothered.
" Why do their words not bother you father?" Kremeth asked as Max looked as his son and put his fingers together in a snapping motion.
" I can destroy this entire planet with a snap of my finger son, why should I care?
Without me all of them would be enslaved by Dracula today, but they are still free to criticise me but their words have no power over me.
Compared to me, they are ants and their words are pointless chatter" Max said as he dismissed the opinions of the masses as the chatter of the weak as once again everything boiled down to individual strength.
Kremeth could not understand what was so great about chasing power, however, staying with Max he was beginning to understand the merits of being the strongest in the universe as slowly but surely a fire was starting to ignite in his heart that gave birth to the desire to grow stronger and enjoy the same mental state as his father did.
After about an hour of walking through Zandar, the two of them walked into a local tavern and booked a stay for the night for a mere 5 silver coins as Max instructed Kremeth to go out on his own and try to understand the intentions of the red umbrella group.
Max told him to explicitly not engage in combat, but use his wits and skill to extract information.
It was a difficult and vague mission, as Kremeth did not understand what exact information he was supposed to find, yet he accepted it graciously and headed out, leaving Max alone in a small tavern to enjoy some peace and quiet.
Max's plan was to stay back and keep and eye on Kremeth using his Omniscient vision, yet never in a million years did he expect that the second he would have some peace and quiet, the moment that he was desperately waiting for since many many months would suddenly arrive!
*Trying Trring….. Trring Trring*
An object suddenly vibrated around his chest as the communication machine that Max always carried upon him in person, finally reacted, indicating the fact that Rudra was calling him.
Max's hands trembled as he clutched the communication orb and suddenly a transmission connected him to Rudra, as a holographic image of Rudra projected itself against the tavern wall.
" Brother, can you hear me?" Rudra asked, a big smile on his face as his deep blue eyes looked straight into Max's red ones.
" Yes- yes I can hear you!" Max replied as he could barely contain his smile seeing his brother after so long.
" Agh shit, There's so much to tell you but there's so little time. I want to tell you everything about the celestial realm, about the truth of the universe but I will explain all that to you once you're here, what's more important now is the perfect warrior and the method to defeat him.
Listen carefully to me brother, because this is what you must to if you truly want to beat him….." Rudra said as his expression suddenly turned from joyous to serious, prompting Max to do the same.
Ofcourse Max also wished to listen all about the Legendary Celestial realm! The realm where only a select few had ever managed to reach throughout the history of the universe and the realm where the perfect warrior resided!
Rudra had planned to call him much sooner, however, back then he had grossly underestimated the capabilities of the perfect warrior and it took him over three years to finally rectify his mistake and call Max.
Not wanting his brother to make the same mistake as he did, Rudra wanted to tell him that he needed to make the most of his time as a monarch and prepare as best as he could before ascending as there was little to no room for growth once he did.
" The perfect warrior, he's too strong! Much stronger than me, much stronger than anything you can ever fathom.
He's everything that the legend says that he is and more, however, I can assure you that defeating him is not impossible.
It's hard, yes…..
But not impossible!
If you want to beat him, this is what you must do brother….." Rudra said as he began explaining the preparatory work that Max must do before ascending.
