Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have …
Vol. 2 Ch. 10 Table of contents

The next morning, Leon slept in until around 9 o'clock.

He had woken up briefly earlier when Rosvisser ordered breakfast for him from the hotel front desk.

But ever since returning from the Empire, he had been a bit lazy, deciding to go back to sleep and have a second nap before eating.

Rosvisser hadn’t forced him to get up either. She simply placed the breakfast by the bed and left.

It seemed like Noa had called her away, asking her to teach her how to swim.

Leon didn’t catch the details, still half-asleep as he dozed off again.

Around 9 o’clock, Leon was startled awake by a knock on the door.

He opened his eyes, shook his head, pulled back the blanket, dressed himself, and got out of bed to open the door.

Outside was Moon.

"What’s wrong, Mu—"

"Dad, dad, hurry, hurry!" The little dragon girl was anxiously hopping from foot to foot, her tail whipping about frantically as if it were sharing in her worry.

Leon’s expression immediately grew serious. He crouched down and hugged his daughter’s shoulders, soothing her, "Don’t rush, Moon. Take your time, what’s wrong?"

"Mom, mom, she—"

The moment he heard it was about Rosvisser, Leon's brow furrowed even more deeply. He had just told Moon not to rush, but he hadn’t even realized that his own tone was becoming more hurried.

"What happened to mom?"

"She was teaching big sis how to swim, but she accidentally drowned and passed out!"

*Dragons… can drown?*

There was no time to think about it. Leon immediately scooped up Moon and sprinted towards the stairs, rushing down to the lobby.

Meanwhile, by the seaside, Rosvisser was lying flat under a large sun umbrella, with Noa sitting obediently beside her.

Her eyes were closed, her long silver lashes casting shadows on her cheeks, and her pupils moved restlessly beneath her eyelids.

Finally, Rosvisser couldn’t help but open her eyes and glance at her daughter.

"Noa, how long do I have to lie here?"

Noa hesitated, looking over her shoulder. Seeing that neither Moon nor dad had arrived yet, she turned back and hummed, "Uh… just a little longer. My summer homework is almost done, but I still need to finish this seaside rescue practice essay. Everything needs to happen in the right order."

*Seaside rescue practice essay.*

To be honest, when Rosvisser first heard about this assignment that morning, she thought Noa had made it up.

But upon further thought, her well-behaved daughter had no reason to lie about something like this, so Rosvisser hadn’t questioned it and simply went along with her daughter’s plan.

In this "rescue practice" essay, Rosvisser was playing the role of the "drowning damsel" who needed to wait for the "skilled lifeguard" to come and save her…

It didn’t take a genius to figure out who the lifeguard was supposed to be.

But she wasn’t even sure if that dog-man was awake yet. If he delayed and messed up her precious daughter’s assignment, *he’ll have to answer to me!*

After waiting a while longer, Noa heard hurried footsteps approaching from behind.

She turned to see her dad and Moon rushing over.

"Mom, mom, close your eyes quickly! The lifeguard is here! Remember to do exactly what I taught you. No matter what happens, don’t open your eyes until I give you the signal."

"No matter what happens, don’t open my eyes..."

Rosvisser mulled over that phrase.

*Isn’t it a bit too bold to ask a dragon not to open her eyes in front of a dragon-slayer?*

*Oh well, it’s all for the sake of my daughter.*

Besides, she thought, *Cosmod wouldn’t dare take advantage of this situation with me, the queen.*

With that thought in mind, Rosvisser slowly closed her eyes.

The footsteps stopped beside her.

"How did mom drown?" Leon asked while unzipping Rosvisser’s jacket, ensuring it wouldn’t hinder her breathing.

"I’m not sure… We were just swimming, and then suddenly mom started shouting for help. I dragged her here, but she hasn’t woken up," Noa explained.

"Alright, I understand. Don’t worry, your mom’s going to be okay."

"Mhm..." Noa replied, sneaking a glance at Moon.

The little dragon girl gave her sister a secret thumbs-up;

The "study queen" dragon nodded ever so slightly, signaling that the plan was proceeding smoothly.

Leon checked Rosvisser’s nose and mouth to ensure there were no obstructions, then placed both hands over her abdomen, pressing gently.

This was to expel any water that a drowning person might have swallowed, a technique he’d learned back at the dragon-slaying academy.

He never thought he’d actually need to use it—after all, it would be a colossal joke if a professional dragon-slayer drowned.

But now he was facing an even bigger joke—

*Since when can dragons with wings drown?!*

*Oh, mother dragon, how embarrassing!*

However, after a few presses, Leon realized that no water was coming out of Rosvisser’s mouth.

He scratched his head, puzzled. "That’s… that’s odd… shouldn’t there be water after she drowned…?"

Before he could think too much about it, Noa leaned over and whispered in his ear, "Dad, I heard in cases like this, you might need to perform mouth-to-mouth…"

"Huh? M-mouth-to-mouth? But isn’t that only necessary if the person has stopped breathing…?"

That’s how the dragon-slaying academy had taught him, anyway.

Noa’s eyes darted quickly, and she pointed at her mom, "But mom isn’t breathing! Right? Look, dad!"

At this moment, the "drowning damsel" on the ground had no choice but to play along and silently hold her breath.

*Everyone can see that this queen is only holding her breath to help my daughter with her assignment.*

*I have no idea what mouth-to-mouth involves~*

Leon reached out and checked Rosvisser’s breathing.

It had indeed stopped.

"Oh no, mother dragon, don’t scare me!"

Someone panicked.

Someone leaned down.

Someone gently pried open the beauty’s lips.

And someone kissed her!

"Moon’s going to get a new—mmmph!"

Noa quickly clamped her hand over Moon’s mouth before she could finish shouting in excitement.

Thankfully, dad was too busy giving mom mouth-to-mouth to notice Moon’s outburst.

The two little dragon girls stood quietly to the side, watching as their parents continued to "kiss."

Noa was already considering names for their fourth sister.

Should she be called *Blazer* or *Möbius*?

Meanwhile, Rosvisser was still "unconscious."

She kept her eyes closed, feeling Leon’s urgency and worry, his warm lips touching hers, pulling back, and then returning.

She had thought this would just be for show—even if it was mouth-to-mouth, it was just an opportunity to tease the dog-man a little.

But unexpectedly, it seemed like he was really worried about her.

*Didn’t Moon tell him this was all just an act for a homework assignment?*

If she hadn’t, that would mean Leon’s current display of anxiety was genuine...

*Hmm~ Even though that mouth can be annoyingly stubborn most of the time, it’s pretty soft when doing mouth-to-mouth.*

Moon poked Noa gently and whispered, "Sis, is it enough? If they kiss too much, won’t they end up having too many babies? I only want one more."

Noa nodded, cleared her throat twice, and gave the signal:

"Mom’s fingers moved!"

Leon sighed in relief.

A moment later, Rosvisser coughed twice and slowly opened her eyes.

*Hmm, what do I do now?*

*Oh, right, the lines.*

"I... I... What happened? What just happened? Who saved me?" she asked, delivering her lines with absolutely no emotion.

"Dad saved you!" Moon proudly declared, shaking her dad’s wrist.

"Oh, oh! Thank you, brave lifeguard!"

Leon blushed. The mouth-to-mouth had left his brain feeling a bit oxygen-deprived.

But he could still think clearly enough.

He looked at the completely fine mother dragon, then at his two daughters, who seemed suspiciously pleased with themselves—

*Wait a minute...*

*Did I just... get tricked?*
