Why Am I a Priestess When I Reach the Maximum Lev…
Vol. 1 Ch. 37 Table of contents

Chuckles echoed…

Above the surface of the river, a magnificent golden gate appeared out of thin air. It was massive, imposing, and radiated pure light and ethereal music.

Although it was far smaller than the Ark, its size was not less than that of the gates of the Wanhe Fortress.

Before Lilya and the others on the deck could react to this fantastical and resplendent sight, two beams of golden light descended from the opened gate. In an instant, Violet and the old turtle vanished before their eyes.

Simultaneously, in another pure white space…

The Holy Crystal Dragon, Xiao Guang, was lounging on the ground, idly yawning while tending to her claws.

Unlike her humanoid form outside, in this seemingly infinite world, she revealed her more comfortable and majestic dragon form.

Though she was only a few dozen meters long, smaller than Nasserian the turtle, Xiao Guang’s pure white crystal-like appearance was both graceful and brimming with power. Each pale golden scale seemed as if it had been intricately carved by a master artisan, and except for their varying sizes, almost all of them were identical, radiating a splendid sheen.

This was the Holy Crystal Dragon, one of the pinnacle dragon species, blending the powers of the Divine White Dragon and the Diamond Crystal Dragon bloodlines. They were extremely rare.

Even in the world of 【Illusory World】, Violet had never heard of any other player obtaining a second Holy Crystal Dragon.

With a flash of light, the black-haired girl and the massive turtle appeared simultaneously in the vast white space, startling the little dragon.

“Roar! Who dares intrude into the master’s domain!”

The dragon’s sharp gaze narrowed, exuding a tremendous aura. Her wings, broad and beautiful, spread open suddenly, as if she were about to take to the skies and deliver judgment to the trespasser from above!

“Don’t be angry, it’s me.”

“Roar… Hm?”

The familiar and pleasing voice caused the dragon to stiffen all over. She immediately folded her wings even faster than before, prostrating herself on the ground. She even wagged her tail frantically, almost as if she wanted to write “I’m a good girl” on her face.

“Master! How did you come here? If you needed something, you could have just summoned me! There’s nothing here, and it’s so boring.”

The sudden appearance by the side of the little dragon was what startled her. Violet and the old turtle Nasserian were here, exactly as the old turtle had said. What Violet had thought of, to enable a peaceful conversation between them, was actually her pet space.

Normally, only pets bound by contracts with players could enter this space. However, after Violet had traversed to this world, for some unknown reason, this space had suddenly become devoid of any presence except for Violet’s pet dragon, Xiao Guang.

Additionally, Violet, who wasn’t supposed to enter the pet space, suddenly gained a way to unlock it. But while Xiao Guang, who had a contract, could come and go freely, Violet or anything else she wanted to bring in required the opening of the gate. As it was quite noisy, this was Violet’s first attempt.

However, in this place… although theoretically the space should be limitless, it was completely devoid of anything. Even the ground didn’t exist, yet creatures floated in mid-air. Strangely, there was a feeling of being grounded, and all in all, it was extremely eerie.

Violet had considered using this space to bring people and for storage. However, the bizarre thing was that no matter where she went, anything besides Xiao Guang, who had a contract with her, would reappear in the location where they entered the space. So what exactly this pet space was and what it could be used for remained unclear to Violet.

“Praise the Demon God! It’s here, indeed, it’s here! You also have a divine realm! Lady Violet, are you truly a member of the heavenly gods? Please, what has happened among the gods?”

The elderly and exuberant turtle Nasserian shouted jubilantly in the space, its voice booming like rolling thunder. It was clear that it was extremely excited, and if it weren’t a turtle, it might have already started dancing on the spot.

“Ugh, you’re so noisy! Quiet!”

“Eek!”

The corporeal little dragon, eyeing the dancing giant turtle, sharply snapped her long platinum tail in the air. This frightened Nasserian so much that it retracted its head and limbs back into its shell and dared not speak loudly again.

“Are you… a guardian dragon under the god’s command? What an elegant figure… even my father couldn’t exude such a spine-tingling aura. Have you already reached the divine rank as well? I am Nasserian, the son of the Dragon of Dark Waters, Nasseratrick. May I know your name? Have you met my father?”

“?”

The little dragon tilted her head and glanced at the balled-up giant turtle, seemingly finding it inconvenient to speak to Violet in this form. So, with another flash of light, she transformed back into her human form, dragging her large tail and looking utterly puzzled.

“Master, did you bring this turtle in? It’s quite weak, but it seems to have a decent bloodline. It should have been alive for a long time. Did you bring it as food for me?”

“What…! No, no, not at all!”

The old turtle, having just barely stuck its head out, was so frightened that it immediately retracted, shivering all over and unable to speak coherently. It appeared to be terrified of the little dragon and had no thoughts of resisting at all, only pleading with extreme humility.

“Alright, Xiao Guang, don’t scare it. Didn’t I show you what just happened? This creature is quite interesting, it seems to know a lot of ancient information.”

“Tsk… fine, if that’s what Master says, then I won’t eat it this time. Hey, how long are you going to keep shaking? Come out and talk!”

“Uh…”

Nasserian gingerly exposed half of its head once again. Even though the two petite girls in front of it were smaller than one of its scales, Nasserian, an ancient turtle that had survived for so long, understood that size was not the measure of strength when it came to truly terrifying entities.

For example, the master of its father was once known as a terrifying being called the Demon God and had a human-like female appearance.

Nasserian had been fortunate enough to have met that figure once. In its memory, that figure seemed slightly smaller than the two before it now, didn’t it?

“Alright, old turtle, since I didn’t intervene outside, it means I don’t intend to harm you. But regarding what you mentioned about the divine realm and the gods, what did you mean by that?”

Violet waved her hand and cast a calming magic on Nasserian. As a level 100 Holy Crystal Dragon, Xiao Guang’s innate pressure ability could be quite terrifying for low-level creatures, especially those with mixed dragon blood. The fact that the old turtle wasn’t frightened to the point of seizures or fainting was already impressive.

Although they weren’t certain if this dragon was the same as that dragon, the effectiveness of the skill was undeniable.

With Violet’s help and Xiao Guang consciously suppressing her aura at Vielis’s signal, Nasserian became much more composed, and they could converse fluently.

“Thank you… but may I ask, what did you mean by the words earlier? As a deity, do you not even know about the divine realm…?”

Nasserian lifted its massive dragon head and surveyed the completely undeveloped surroundings of the pure white space.

“That’s strange… it’s indeed in an entirely undeveloped state… but that feeling of peace and contentment, as if returning home, cannot be wrong. This place is undoubtedly a divine realm.”

“While my father was alive, I had the privilege of living in that divine realm for a while. There were many even more powerful companions there.”

The old turtle’s sincere tone did not sound like a falsehood.

However… why did it refer to the pet space as the divine realm? It said that the black dragon, Nasseratrick, held the title of the “Dragon of Dark Waters.” So, was this so-called master deity referred to as the “Demon God”?

Demon God… Wait, Demon God?!

Had she heard that title somewhere before?
