Why Am I a Priestess When I Reach the Maximum Lev…

Lilya is very clever, and she’s sensed some of the things that Violet has noticed.

The princess had always believed, just like the outside world, that Anthony Stevenson had already perished.

However, it’s clear that Flora knows many inside details but never mentioned them to her. It’s uncertain whether she was worried that revealing the existence of the 【Eternal Throne】 would affect Lilya’s determination to come here or she just didn’t want to share her secrets with her.

Flora took advantage of Lilya, and the princess realized this fact just from overhearing their conversation. But she didn’t get angry, even though she felt a bit uncomfortable, Flora had genuinely been doing her best to help her, except for some private matters that didn’t significantly impact the war.

Even before meeting Violet, Miss Crimson Flame was Lilya’s greatest support and reliance. After everything is over, the princess might complain to her privately, but for now, she’ll undoubtedly give her full support to her dear friend.

“Phew… Violet, do you think Flora can win? That’s Anthony Stevenson we’re talking about…”

“I’m not sure, Lilya. Does Lilya hope she wins?”

“Hehe… of course, but right now, it seems like I don’t have the energy to help her.”

While they were talking, two individuals fully wrapped in white cloth, hiding their faces and figures, had already surrounded Lilya and the others from the left and right.

Their unmistakable legendary presence made it clear that they were the Eternal Thrones.

Together with the previous terrifying assassin that only Violet could predict and Anthony Stevenson, four enemies with suspected Eternal Throne identities had appeared.

It was evident that the enemy was well-prepared, and with four legendary individuals, along with the imminent arrival of the beastman army, they were more than enough to trap Lilya’s group here.

“Not planning to say something?”

Lilya raised the sword in her hand.

“Not really.”

“…Alright.”

“What we want…”

“…is just your life.”

The two individuals, who looked like mummies from another world, had nearly identical voices. Each time they spoke, they took turns, as if the same soul inhabited two bodies.

However, Violet could tell that even if this was true, they were both genuine legendary-level combatants.

“Is that so? Then I’ll just have to take you down.”

Lilya’s beautiful eyes squinted slightly. She was no longer limited to just three basic skills as she had been a few days ago.

After the battle that destroyed the supplies, the princess had awakened to discover that she could now learn almost all skills below level 20, and her level had experienced a significant leap, just as Violet had predicted. Combat had the power to elevate life in this world.

Although her basic numerical values were at the level of mithril or so, thanks to the continuous enhancement of her attributes by the 【Casket of Ascension】, combined with the well-developed skill system in 【Illusory World】, Lilya’s overall combat power had made her capable of dealing with “one or two high-earth level opponents without a problem,” as Violet had assessed.

While the enemies might be legendary, Lilya didn’t believe her side would lose, especially with so many subordinates and Violet’s assistance. However, a certain priestess seemed to think differently.

“These two guys, along with the one hiding on the side, leave them to me. Lilya, you have more important things to take care of.”

Just as the princess was filled with determination and eager to fight, Violet suddenly stopped her, taking a step forward to stand in front of the young girl.

“Huh?”

“Huh what? Did you forget why we came here? The magic circle and the supplies. Time is running out. And we were supposed to gather evidence, right? That should be important to you.”

“Well, you’re right, but those are three legendary opponents. I know you’re really strong, Violet, but aren’t you the type who needs teammates to bring out your full potential? I can’t just leave all the pressure to you…”

“Ah, it seems you’ve been reading your books well. The book I gave you only contains part of my abilities, and maybe I’m a little stronger than you imagine. So don’t worry. Besides, isn’t this the duty of a guardian, Miss Employer?”

“But…”

“Don’t argue. 【Iron Blood Arena】!”

Violet’s chest, wrist, and fingertips all lit up with golden light, gathering in front of her and then transforming into a blood-like color.

Then, three crimson streaks of light shot out, connecting with the two mummy-like figures and a vacant patch of ground somewhere.

The princess heard a strange tearing sound, and her black-haired companion, along with around three of their enemies, had all vanished from the spot.

“Wait… Ah, they disappeared again. Really… Violet, and even Flora, please be careful…”

Lilya had only made a preliminary exploration of the skill system in the 【Illusory World】, so she didn’t know what this skill was. However, given the circumstances, she could only pray for the two battlefields and do her best to handle her own responsibilities.

This was a colossal red and black arena, extraordinarily large to the point of absurdity. The entire space was void except for this place to stand.

Violet was extremely familiar with this place, to the point where she almost felt nauseated. When she was learning a particular skill, she had brought one dark elemental lord after another here, mechanically repeating the same process a thousand times…

The “Iron Blood Arena.”

Strictly speaking, this was not a skill in the Illusory World’s skill tree. It was one of the abilities that came with Violet’s three-piece “Semi-Divine Artifact” set: the 【Sacred Healing Amulet】, the 【Blessed Gauntlets of Protection】, and the 【Ring of Divine Aid】.

The effect of this skill allows the user to designate no more than ten enemy individuals and draw them into a separate and independent arena space for a fight to the death. Inside the arena, the use of any skills or items with attack capabilities is prohibited, as is summoning. However, support, healing, and defensive skills are unaffected.

When only one individual remains alive in the arena or after 24 hours, the space automatically dissolves.

You heard it correctly. The 【Iron Blood Arena】, a skill that may sound full of murderous intent, is actually an auxiliary ability that comes with a set of equipment and can only be activated through combat, or else the user must remain imprisoned for a full day.

Is it absurd? In the 【Illusory World】, there are many things even more peculiar than this, making it both laughable and bewildering.

The 【Iron Blood Arena】 skill, seemingly at odds with equipment attributes, reveals its value in actual use.

For example, if Violet pulls in an equally leveled warrior player, over seventy percent of the opponent’s skills will be restricted by the arena’s effects, while Violet, who specializes in support, will be virtually unrestricted, even when neither side can use attack skills. Thus, Violet holds a significant advantage.

You might wonder how fights can take place without using skills. The answer is straightforward: basic attacks!

Therefore, when the priestess and two mummies, along with a certain assassin who appeared as though he wasn’t invisible, simultaneously appeared in the center of the arena, the young girl didn’t hesitate. She swiftly swung her priest’s staff in hand toward them!
