Rosvisser had always maintained control over everything, including her "marital exchanges" with Leon.

Indeed, she desired to be conquered by Leon, but that was only her personal desire. Compared to the deep-rooted control instinct passed down in the dragon race for thousands of years, such desires had to take a back seat.

Tonight was no different.

After successfully using the dragon mark to open Leon’s first gate, the reaction of the mark didn’t fade away.

The faint purple glow flickered across their chests. It was a light of temptation, desire, and corruption. Every time they saw it, both of them couldn’t help but feel deeply embarrassed.

The only way to cover that light was to cling to each other, hoping that the intimacy would extinguish that filthy glow.

But no matter how close they held each other, it wasn’t enough. The glow of the dragon mark still leaked through the cracks, much like the emotions and love they both tried so hard to suppress.

Time and time again, they experienced this mix of shame and excitement, and each time, they gave in to it.

They could only drown in each other’s presence, using the closeness to escape the overwhelming sense of embarrassment.

However, as the kissing continued, Rosvisser began to sense something unusual.

This dog of a man was behaving differently. There was something... renewed about him.

Suddenly, he moved.

He was trying to take control.

Naturally, Rosvisser wouldn’t allow that.

The resonance of the dragon mark hadn’t reached the level where her desire to be dominated would take over.

Right now, Rosvisser was still the proud and aloof Dragon Queen, and at any moment, she was the one who commanded Leon.

She placed a hand on Leon’s chest, gently pushing him back down.

Her eyes gleamed with a mischievous, seductive glint as she whispered, “Lie still. Don’t move.”

She wasn’t surprised by his resistance. He would often try to take control during their “exercises.”

But no matter how firm Leon's will was, he couldn’t resist the power of the dragon mark, and Rosvisser could manipulate him as she pleased.

For her, his attempts to resist were more of a playful challenge than a real threat.

Sure enough, after her first warning, Leon continued to resist.

Rosvisser chuckled softly and intensified the activation of the dragon mark.

The light glowed brighter, reflecting her triumphant smile.

But in the next moment, a sudden force on her shoulder made her freeze.

In her shock, Leon moved with the speed of a panther, flipping her over and pinning her down.

Rosvisser lay on the pillow, staring up at him in surprise, her silver eyes filled with a whirlwind of emotions.

Shock, confusion, but also... joy and anticipation.

Her man... had resisted the power of the dragon mark?

*Thump—Thump—Thump—*

Rosvisser’s heart pounded in her chest as she gazed at his stern, handsome face, his expression unreadable.

Amazing.

This man was amazing.

To break free from the dragon mark’s control and take charge, forcing her to surrender and beg for mercy beneath those strong, rough hands...

The Dragon Queen’s slender brows arched into crescents, and her silver eyes shimmered with excitement.

“Rosvisser,” Leon said her name, his voice cold and deep.

He cupped her neck, bringing his lips close to her ear.

“Don’t die on me, alright?”

Rosvisser wrapped her arms around his muscular body, hearing his threat.

If it had been any other time, she would have fired back a sharp retort.

But now, all she wanted was to bask in the fear and pressure that Leon was putting on her.

To her, that was the sweetest thing he could have said.

And as it turned out, Leon wasn’t bluffing.

Rosvisser’s earlier feeling was correct—Leon truly had undergone a transformation, a rebirth of sorts.

Was it because he had opened the first gate?

Well, it certainly added a new layer of excitement to their "marital life."

...

At the base of her skull, it felt as though there was a ticking bomb.

And the fuse was her elegant spine, running all the way down to her soft waist.

Under his deadly threat, the fire of desire surged along her spine, igniting the bomb at the base of her head.

In an instant.

Her mind buzzed endlessly, and her vision spun.

In mere milliseconds, Rosvisser felt as if she had ascended to heaven and then plummeted back down to hell.

Her dazed silver eyes took over ten seconds to refocus.

Her senses and awareness gradually returned as she blinked, staring at the ceiling, feeling the warmth still lingering in her body.

“It felt like... a dream.”

She didn’t hear a response from her partner before her chin was gently grasped, and soft lips pressed against hers.

The kiss was a tender punctuation mark to their intense journey.

Or perhaps it was only a comma.

After all, who could say whether they would be "exchanging notes" again soon?

As the kiss lingered, Rosvisser thought it was time to take a break.

That’s what usually happened.

But Leon didn’t seem to have any intention of stopping.

Wait, what was this dog of a man planning? Was he seriously going for round two right away?

Rosvisser lightly pushed him away, giving herself a moment to speak. “Why so impatient? Let me rest for a bit.”

Leon, his expression serious, didn’t reply. Instead, he leaned down to kiss her again.

Suddenly, Rosvisser felt like she was dealing with a child in love.

Love, love... There’s supposed to be some *talking* in between, right?

You can’t just “love” without any “talk,” can you?

But she couldn’t really stop him, so she simply went along with this idiot for now.

About five minutes later, it seemed that the dog-man had kissed to his heart’s content and finally calmed down, releasing her.

Rosvisser blushed, relieved, and laid back down.

The couple lay sprawled across the bed, the blanket kicked to the floor long ago.

They stared at the ceiling in silence.

After a long pause, Leon finally spoke.

“Did you feel it?”

“Feel what?”

“The difference.”

Rosvisser's eyes shifted slightly, then she nodded. “Yes, it’s very different.”

Leon slowly raised his arm, staring at his palm. “It feels like there’s an endless supply of power in my body, and this power... it feels pure.”

Rosvisser closed her eyes. “I felt it too. But you used your newfound strength for... this?”

Leon glanced at her and retorted, “Isn’t it only logical for a dragon slayer to test his new skills on a dragon?”

Rosvisser kicked him in the side. “Logical? That’s just nonsense!”

“Do you want to continue?”

Rosvisser froze, her lips pressing together as she hesitated.

The experience just now had indeed reached a whole new level, and her desire to be conquered by Leon had been thoroughly fulfilled.

But as Leon had reminded her—*Don’t die on me.*

If they went at that level a few more times, while dying might be an exaggeration... fainting certainly wasn’t out of the question!

She would definitely be humiliated if the dog-man mocked her for passing out.

Besides, the fact that he could now resist the dragon mark’s control meant that she had lost her upper hand.

This situation didn’t favor her at all.

Until she could think of a way to regain control, it would be best to avoid any more battles.

So, after some contemplation, Rosvisser, though somewhat reluctant to let go of the new experience, restrained herself.

“That’s enough for tonight.”

Leon had no intention of forcing her.

He had only asked if she wanted to continue to test the limits of his newly enhanced body.

However, judging by how weak Rosvisser looked...

He figured that before he could reach his limit, she would already have been worn out.

*Hah, the mighty dragon queen, so fragile.*

*Not much of a challenge after all!*
