Chapter 96 Table of contents
As the best monitoring system in the Temporal Bureau, L1 found it relatively easy to modify the storylines of small worlds. While altering the storyline in world S20070501, involving Ye Fan, L1 only intervened minimally. He didn’t interfere with the protagonist's main storyline but instead separated Ye Fan’s life from the protagonist’s.
Originally, in the established storyline of the small world, Ye Fan’s life and the protagonist’s life intersected like two wavering lines. Before high school, Ye Fan had no interactions with the protagonist, and even during their three years in high school, their interactions were minimal. They weren’t friends; they were merely schoolmates.
So, L1 simply modified the part where Ye Fan and the protagonist enrolled in the same school, allowing Ye Fan to be accepted into a top high school in a neighboring province, ranked first city-wide in the entrance exam.
By doing this, Ye Fan’s entire high school life no longer intersected with the protagonist’s, and the once-intersecting lines became parallel.
After that, L1 also set up a “win-by-default” program for the protagonist Cheng Fei before his college entrance exam results came out. In the original storyline, Ye Fan’s accidental death before the exam allowed Cheng Fei to become the top scorer in the province by default. After L1’s modification, the story shifted so that the original top scorer was too overwhelmed by the pressure of the exam atmosphere and opted out, leaving Cheng Fei to take the spot and still achieve the top score.
As for the student who gave up on the exam? Naturally, it was L1.
The storyline in world S20070501 wasn’t too complex, with only one main character, so it didn’t take L1 long to successfully modify the world’s ending.
