I Have a Reason to Hate Streamers
Chapter 64 Table of contents

Ever since the birth of RPGs, content like customization and costumes has never fallen out of popularity.
Look-based content, or what’s called “fashion grinding,” has always been a fan favorite.

In this case, Infinity Blood is a full-dive VR MMORPG where the player essentially becomes the character.
While I’ve been wearing the costume I stumbled upon by chance as a long-term investment, there were plenty of players in Infinity Blood who went all out with their customization.

So, it doesn’t matter much what the character looks like.

The real issue here isn’t the "magical girl" or even the act of "terrorism."
It’s the fact that she’s doing this in a village, a supposed safe zone protected by the system.

“Hahaha! Die, Somersault Kick!”
“That crazy b*tch!”
“Take this, Spinning Heel Kick!”

Her wand glowed as flames of fire magic rained down.
Every time she shouted the name of some unrelated kick, screams and expletives filled the air.
Blossoms of flame kept leaving ashes in their wake.

“Looks like she’s really enjoying the game.”

A fighter charging from the front was swept away by the flames.
A mage lost the duel of firepower and was reduced to dust, and an archer aiming from the shadows fell to the knife of a rogue.
In short, this crazy girl wasn’t alone.

A rogue lurked in the alleyways.
There was even a berserker hiding under the magical girl’s feet.

She might look like a lunatic, but her actions were actually pretty cunning.
Judging by the way she held her ground and kept her eyes on her surroundings, she was definitely well-versed in PVP.
Maintaining distance so she could quickly get help from her teammates was a smart move.

‘Five minutes have passed, right? No response yet? Really?’

The chaos showed no sign of stopping.

A rogue tried to fight back against the terrorists.
A warrior smashed the rogue’s head in and looted their gold.
A ranger began pillaging from NPCs.

The ranger was especially noteworthy.
Soon after they started looting, an NPC knight on a wyvern appeared.
The knight’s booming voice halted the chaos across the village.

“This land belongs to Count Rahikal. How dare you cause a disturbance here?”

So, they won’t just stand by and watch the village descend into chaos.
Wyvern Knights are far superior to the guards on the main continent, acting as high-ranking law enforcement NPCs.
With all eyes on him, the knight swiftly took down the pillager.

And, of course, we all knew what would happen next.

The magical girl quickly assessed the situation, her urgent voice issuing sharp, direct orders.

“Hey! Sht, we’re fcked! Let’s get outta here!”

The first thing to hit was a spell that conjured an explosion of smoke.
The berserker who’d been hiding revealed his massive body.
It seemed his role from the beginning was to buy time; he became a wall in front of the magical girl with a fearless stance.

Now, the wyvern knight would target the berserker.
As everyone believed this would happen, the wyvern’s wings flapped powerfully.
Then, just as quickly, it turned and flew back to the castle as if nothing had happened.

Leaving behind the burning village and the terrorist magical girl.

“…?”

Everyone in the city looked at the sky with dumbfounded expressions.
The sky was bright and blue, and the knight never looked back.
Soon, everyone reached the same conclusion.

It was just after a major patch.
At this point, a critical bug was almost expected.

“Raid! Kill the women and ravage the men!”
“Look! A furry male!”
“Kill it!”
“No, keep it alive! I’ll be right there!”
“?”

I drew my dagger.

Many pro gamers despise chaotic battles.

Their preferred stage is a fair, regulated one with a set number of participants.
In chaotic fights, all the carefully built tactics and strategies go out the window.
Especially strategic players—they tend to hate battles full of unknown variables.

In contrast, field-focused PVP players like me enjoy the chaos.
There’s no need for complex strategies or tactics—just raw physicality and animal instincts!
It’s all about indiscriminately killing whatever enemies you see—a thrilling, straightforward battle that’s perfect for the field.

An arrow without an eye whizzed past my head.
Fragments of ice crystals bounced harmlessly off my coat, falling to the ground.

It’s only polite to return a gift when you receive one.
I flung a throwing knife, aiming for the frost mage’s gut.
I planned to finish him off with a direct approach, but I ran into another assassin right next to him.

Easy prey that wouldn’t take long to devour.
It’s a busy road, but a snack wouldn’t hurt.

“No way… is that Gawol?”

I thrust my dagger without a word.
My opponent attempted a brave counterattack, but I slipped sideways, locking his arm under my armpit.
With a quick leg sweep and a head push, his skull met the ground.

Before he could resist, I stabbed his temple several times.
Thud. Thud. The chilling sound echoed as he raised a thumbs-up.

“You’re… really good…”

“Huh.”

Was he a fan, perhaps?
Too bad. If he’d said something, I wouldn’t have killed him.
Since I’d already stabbed him, I twisted the blade to finish the job.

Let’s think of it positively.
It wasn’t a bad fan meet-up, was it?

Once I target someone, I make sure to finish them off.
As soon as Fan #2 went down, I moved along the shadow toward the dagger I’d thrown earlier.
Thinking I’d given up the chase, the defenseless frost mage turned his back to me.

I sliced through his Achilles tendons and both knees.
Finally, I cut the tendons in his upper back, rendering him powerless.
Stabbing his neck was a precaution to prevent him from casting any spells.

“Argh, ugh…”

“You made me lose track of her. Damn. Where is she?”

My initial target had been the magical girl.
But I got distracted and lost her trail.

As I slashed my dagger across the frost mage’s throat, I noticed a few arrows heading my way.
I spun the blade inside his neck, using his body as a shield.
I threw a rope dagger at the cheeky archer who dared to shoot at me.

My throwing skill was nearly on par with top-tier assassins like Reaper.
The straight-flying dagger drew blood, and the archer frantically tried to pull it out.

Not a chance.

[Active: Serpent’s Fang]
[For 10 seconds, thrown weapons cannot be removed from the enemy's body.]

I yanked the rope, closing the distance.
The archer, realizing escape was futile, fired a few desperate arrows, but if he couldn’t fend this off, he had no business calling himself an assassin.
Judging by the lightness of my wrist, I could tell the outcome was certain.

His hands instinctively reached for his neck.
With both hands up, how did he plan to defend his lower body?

I tore into his side, blocking his arms as they dropped.
Driving him into a wall, I kneed him in the gut.
The impact loosened his upper guard, allowing me to drive my knee into his face.

A perfect hit.
As his head reeled back, blood splattered vividly.
After finishing him off, I searched for my next target.

[You are blessed by the Ashen Moon.]
[For up to 10 seconds, you can blend into shadows within 10 meters of another player, entering stealth…]
[Time remaining: 2.01 sec.]

“How many is that now?”

After losing track of the magical girl, I killed whatever was nearby.
It wasn’t difficult. An assassin’s true value lies in surprise, and spotting an invisible assassin in chaos is nearly impossible.
The level gap also made the kills come easily.

Soon enough, no players were left in sight.
As my stealth wore off, I drank a potion, noticing some movement below.

Alright.
Let me finish this drink, and I’ll be right with you.

Just as I put the potion bottle to my lips, I locked eyes with the magical girl coming out of a shabby building.

“Oh.”
“Huh.”

Her staff sparkled briefly, but the pink-haired girl quickly lowered it.
With a resigned voice, she posed a question.

“Um… are you Gawol?”
“That’s right.”
“Could you just let me go?”

“Hm.”
