Everyone became excited at the thought of Tranquility Emperor’s arrival, the strongest emperor in Immortal Suppression.
“Your dynasty’s impudence knows no bounds. We shall tolerate it no longer.” Bloodsparrow spoke.
Everyone took a deep breath since none dared to criticize Enigma. However, given Bloodsparrow’s tone, it seemed Immortal Suppression was going to take action.
“Bring it.” Disaster laughed and feared no one.
He was not the strongest emperor but his unrestrained style was appreciated by many, especially the younger cultivators. They viewed him as a role model since the passion and arrogance of youth were beautiful.
“Poof.” Bloodsparrow’s wings came together and the heat erupted once more, refining space into cracked glass.
“Ahh!” A few spectators didn’t know any better and approached too close, only to be reduced to ashes.
“Poof!” Flames ignited on Disaster whose expression soured.
“Disaster will lose.” Everyone knew he couldn’t win this fight alone.
“Brother Disaster is in trouble...” Six-style was alarmed.
“Buzz.” A refreshing gust took over the scene, creating a sense of collapse in the devastating sense.
Bloodsparrow and all others felt their dao being subdued by something in the blink of an eye.
“Endlaw!” Bloodsparrow was the first to react.
Sure enough, a river flowed from the horizon to the entrance of Darkmoon Temple. Despite the refreshingness in the air, the current brought a coffin to the scene.
“Is this a declaration of war? If so, I suppose I have no choice but to exercise my old bones.” A feeble voice came from the coffin.
“Elder!” Six-style was ecstatic.
“Endlaw Emperor.” Everyone knew who it was after seeing the coffin.
“The first emperor of Enigma.” Some were curious, wanting the lid to be removed so they could take a look at him.
Endlaw was rumored to be older and potentially stronger than one of their three ancestors, Strategy. He had gone as far as possible on the apex stage, able to see the truth.
The thing everyone feared the most was due to his special ability - a curse able to suppress any opponent’s dao laws. However, his lifespan was near depletion so others rarely saw him.
“We can get started now.” Bloodsparrow prepared to face a mighty opponent.
Both were in the apex stage but Endlaw was certainly stronger, not to mention the curse. Nevertheless, she and Yangrune had no intention of retreating since they weren’t afraid of Enigma.
Her response struck the crowd hard, causing them to smell the stench of blood. A war between the two behemoths would affect all of Sin - a true disaster to any cultivator.
“Very well.” Endlaw said: “Looks like I have to climb out then for a fight before death.”
“Creak.” The lid was pushed aside and an old man climbed out.
He was thin and weak with patches of gray hair. His face was full of wrinkles and only skin covered the bones. A gust of wind could blow him over.
However, strands of dao rays flowed outward in a strange manner and suppressed everyone’s dao laws.
“That’s the curse.” Spectators felt as if they had been bitten by a venomous snake and shuddered.
“You were the first to attack, so we shall respond accordingly.” Endlaw remained clear and concise; his words etched into people’s minds like iron laws.
“Blood for blood, Yangrune shall be the first and we will attack Immortal Suppression later.” Disaster laughed.
“Bring it.” Yangrune replied, undeterred. He couldn’t back down when the foes had made their intention clear.
“Since your dynasty has a death wish, we will hasten its demise.” Bloodsparrow spoke domineeringly.
Both sides didn’t back down and this felt like the calm before the endless storm.
