If Ravi was here, then—
Rosvisser glanced at the two figures behind him.
As expected, it was Bly and Jagus, the two Dragon Kings also adept in space magic.
"Long time no see, Silver Dragon Queen," Ravi greeted her, raising his hand as dozens of space portals opened behind him. From the portals, hundreds of dragons poured out, immediately launching themselves at the Silver Dragon forces in the distance. The two sides clashed without hesitation.
"I didn’t expect you two to actually manage to kill Stah," Ravi admitted, his voice calm but carrying an edge. "To be honest, the man by your side has power far beyond anything I can comprehend."
He continued, "Someone like him is a threat to both the dragons and the Empire if he continues to exist in this world."
"Silver Dragon Queen, you’ve chosen the wrong side. You could have preserved your clan’s prosperity for centuries by staying neutral or aligning with us and the Empire."
"But instead, you chose to help Leon Cassmod."
"I’m afraid I have no choice but to inform you that both of you must be erased."
Rosvisser stood tall, her back against Leon’s, unyielding. Her voice was cold, but full of authority. "There is no ‘choosing sides’ here. I simply did what I believed was right."
"As for ‘self-preservation’?" She chuckled, "Have my years of keeping the Silver Dragons in the shadows made you think I’m a coward who fears death?"
Ravi’s brows furrowed slightly. After a brief pause, he responded, "I respect your courage to stake everything, Silver Dragon Queen, but as I’ve said, today both of you will be erased."
"After your battle with Stah, you must be nearly out of energy," Ravi continued, his tone remaining calm. "But don’t worry, I won’t use violence to send you off—that’s the beauty of space magic."
Though Ravi kept his voice steady, internally, he was filled with anxiety. He wouldn’t have dared to confront them if Leon and Rosvisser hadn’t been so drained after their fight with Stah. Otherwise, it would have been a death sentence for him, Bly, and Jagus.
Now, it was time to play their trump card—Nacho’s so-called "surprise kill."
Ravi raised his hand, conjuring a complex magic array in his palm. Bly and Jagus did the same.
“Space magic... I have no idea how their attacks even work,” Leon muttered. “But either way, let’s deal with the one who talks the most first. Sound good?”
Rosvisser nodded. "Sounds good."
She paused before asking, "Are your magic reserves still enough?"
Leon patted his chest. The last attack had nearly drained him dry of magic. He still had *The Nine Infernal Gates* technique, but against three Dragon Kings, relying on physical techniques alone was a gamble.
But he had to try. There was no way he’d just stand still and let them treat him like a punching bag.
“I probably can’t use magic right now. I’ll draw his attention while you attack from the side,” Leon said.
“Be careful.”
“Got it. Let’s do this.”
After quickly coordinating their strategy, the couple split to the left and right, charging at Ravi.
Their speed was incredible. In the blink of an eye, Leon was already right in front of Ravi, launching a powerful knee strike at his face.
Using the *Fourth Gate of Speed*, Leon’s raw momentum turned the simple knee attack into a devastating blow.
At the same time, Rosvisser gathered dragonfire, preparing to strike Ravi from the side.
Everything was going according to their plan.
But just as Leon’s knee was about to connect, a pale blue barrier suddenly appeared, rising from the ground to block his attack.
Both Leon and Rosvisser quickly retreated, not taking any chances with the unfamiliar magic.
“What’s up with this barrier...” Leon muttered.
Before he could finish, two more barriers erupted from the ground, forming a triangular enclosure that trapped him and Rosvisser inside with little room to maneuver.
*S-rank Space Magic: Gates of the Future*
Rosvisser tried attacking the barrier with her dragonfire, but the instant the flames touched it, they vanished into thin air. A moment later, an explosion went off in the distance, where her attack had been redirected.
“This barrier redirects magic to a distant location,” Rosvisser said gravely, pressing her hand against the barrier. “And your physical attacks didn’t affect it either. This is... troublesome.”
The space barrier was unlike Stah’s impenetrable defense.
When Leon broke through Stah’s defense, it had been thanks to a combination of his *Chidori*’s piercing power and the incredible force generated by his speed and physical prowess.
But this space barrier was not only incredibly tough, it also redirected magic attacks.
This meant that brute force was the only option for breaking through.
“If the Fourth Gate’s attack didn’t work—” Leon began, lowering himself into a deep stance and placing his fists at his waist.
An invisible force radiated from his body, causing pebbles on the ground to tremble and jump.
*Nine Infernal Gates, Fifth Gate: Meteor*
The Fifth Gate massively enhanced Leon’s physical strength and explosive power, building on the foundation of the Fourth Gate’s speed.
Of course, starting with the Fifth Gate, the side effects on the user’s body grew much more severe.
But Leon had no time to worry about side effects now. He had no idea what other tricks the space magic users had up their sleeves.
He needed to break this damn barrier as quickly as possible.
With the Fifth Gate activated, faint steam rose from the gaps in Leon’s *Black and Gold Armor*. It was the vapor of his sweat.
With a low shout, Leon pushed off the ground, launching himself forward.
In an instant, he was in front of Ravi, unleashing a powerful punch directly at the space barrier.
As his fist connected, the ground trembled, and the barrier quivered under the impact.
Ravi gritted his teeth, pouring more magic into the barrier to barely withstand the attack.
The strain of maintaining the Fifth Gate was immense, but the power boost was equally overwhelming.
Yet, despite the raw strength of the attack, the space barrier remained intact.
Ravi let out a quiet breath of relief. “Stop struggling, Cassmod. You can’t break this barrier. As I said, you will be erased, but without any pain. Accept your fate quietly.”
Leon grimaced, fighting through the pain coursing through his body. “Shut it, old man. Do I look like the type to surrender?”
He retreated back to Rosvisser, speaking in a low voice, “There’s no way Ravi’s maintaining this barrier alone. Those two behind him are also contributing.”
“There’s an obvious advantage and disadvantage to this setup.”
“The advantage is, as you can see, it’s almost impossible for just the two of us to overpower all three of them.”
“But the disadvantage is, if even one of them makes a mistake or lets their guard down, the barrier’s strength will drop significantly.”
Leon’s gaze shifted to the distant battlefield, where the Silver Dragon soldiers were locked in combat with Ravi’s forces. He sighed quietly.
“It doesn’t seem like anyone out there can help us from the outside, though...”
Leon’s plan was simple. If he could disrupt just one of the three Dragon Kings maintaining the barrier, he’d have a chance to break it.
But the problem was, all the Silver Dragons were too busy holding off the Star-Wandering Dragons. No one could break through to lend them a hand.
It was a desperate situation.
And it was about to get worse.
A magic array appeared beneath the couple’s feet, and in its center, a small rift began to open.
The rift glowed with an eerie blue light, its depths completely obscured.
It was slowly expanding, threatening to swallow both Leon and Rosvisser.
Rosvisser stared intently at the growing rift, her mind racing.
“Ravi’s been talking about ‘erasing’ us, not ‘killing’ us. So this isn’t some kind of sealing spell or spatial annihilation... it looks more like...”
She pieced it together, remembering how her dragonfire had been redirected earlier.
“A teleportation spell... Ravi is trying to send us somewhere completely unknown.”
“Well done, Silver Dragon Queen,” Ravi said smugly. “You’re absolutely right. This is a powerful teleportation array. In this world, there may be no magic strong enough to kill Leon Cassmod. So the next best thing is to send him far, far away.”
The trump card had finally been revealed.
But despite the plan’s grand nature, it still wasn’t going to kill Leon.
No matter, though. As long as Leon was out of the picture, Ravi didn’t care whether he lived or died.
“In that unknown world, Leon Cassmod won’t be alone. After all, you’ll be there with him, Silver Dragon Queen.”
“Oh, and you two have kids, right? I should’ve thought to capture them and send them into the array with you. That way, your family could be reunited in another world and live however you please.”
Ravi sneered, “Though, I still can’t comprehend how a proud Dragon Queen could lower herself to mate with a human.”
BANG—
Leon slammed his fist into the barrier. “Stay out of my business, old man!”
“Tsk. Cassmod, I’ve heard about your stubbornness, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.” Ravi, now confident in his victory, continued to taunt Leon.
Rosvisser blinked and looked at Leon. “So
... you were famous for being stubborn even before we got married?”
“Ugh, that’s slander. I’ve never been stubborn,” Leon muttered defensively.
“Really? Then when are you going to confess to me?”
“Uh, there’s no rush.”
“Why not? I’m in a rush.”
“Well, being in a rush won’t help.”
The couple bickered back and forth, completely ignoring the expanding rift at their feet and paying no mind to Ravi outside the barrier.
“You awful man! Are you trying to avoid responsibility?”
“What do you mean? If I didn’t want responsibility, would we have this many kids?”
“I gave birth to them! I did all the work!”
“You can’t do it alone without me!”
Ravi: “Enough already...”
“Dragons can hatch from cocoons, you know?”
“Cocoons? The ones that get smacked around like those chubby dragons Noa defeated?”
Ravi: “I said enough!! What are you doing? You’re on the brink of death, and you’re arguing?”
The couple stopped bickering in perfect synchrony, turning their heads to look at Ravi.
“What are we doing? We’re distracting you.”
“What—”
Before Ravi could finish, a sharp bird-like screech echoed behind him.
A small black figure leaped into the air, lightning crackling in its hand as it struck toward Ravi’s shoulder.
