Cheonghaeho is a rich meadow stretching approximately 250 li between the narrow mountain ranges blocking the south, with a width of about twenty-five li. Numerous water channels flow into Cheonghaeho, and around them, small villages have settled, cultivating the land extensively. This is why small villages continue to appear south of Cheonghaeho, as the lake's salty water makes it unsuitable for drinking.
