Why Am I a Priestess When I Reach the Maximum Lev…
Vol. 3 Ch. 129 Table of contents

Of course, it’s not to say that these Blasphemers before us truly possess the level of power as Her Majesty, the Feathered Emperor. One must understand that transcending is a vastly different level, Her Majesty is considered a prominent figure even among those in the so-called transcendent category.

In terms of one-on-one combat, except for the High Priestess who bears the protection of the gods, Sigrid doesn’t believe she would lose to any individual.

But to be able to so thoroughly suppress someone like herself, who is only recently on the verge of legend, even if she’s in the lower to middle tier, this monster must be at least at the peak of legend, or even… at that level of existence.

How could this be possible…

The Abyss actually harbors dozens of monsters at the peak of legend, or even transcendent?

“So this is what they call Blasphemers…”

Compared to Sigrid, who was experiencing shock and even fear, Violet observed more and clearer.

Even before she destroyed the first one with her 8th-tier magic, Holy Roar, Violet had already sensed the level of these Blasphemers with her heightened perception.

Despite her seemingly casual casting of the fireball, it was actually Violet’s further probing. The fact that the Blasphemer could withstand the 8th-tier magic for several seconds before being incinerated meant its resistance was at least at level 50, or what is known as transcendent or higher.

But even if there are dozens of transcendent beings, so what? If they were to go all out, either Xiao Guang or Violet herself could easily annihilate them here.

Furthermore, the priestess didn’t believe these creatures could simply run outside casually. The Abyss isn’t a place for the righteous, there’s no talk of mercy or holding back. These Blasphemers had been hiding in these lightless cocoons before they arrived, which must have been for a reason.

“May the Light protect us.”

A brilliant golden barrier rose around, mercilessly pushing aside the bizarre creatures that were about to approach.

“Hehehehe!!!”

“Light! Hateful light! Yihehehe!!!”

“Smash her! Tear her apart! Devour her flesh! So fragrant, so fragrant hahaha!!!”

The Blasphemers, like tireless locusts, one by one threw themselves at the barrier of Light’s Protection, banging their ugly and patched bodies against the golden curtain. Even though they couldn’t break through the power of 【Light Blessing】, or even shake it, they never gave up throughout.

Is it another one of these…

Despite appearing to possess a considerable degree of intelligence and demonstrating strength far superior to their adversaries, they showed no fear, no retreat. From them, Violet could only see endless madness and predatory instincts.

“So disgusting.”

“Violet! These things…”

“Ah, they’re just oversized trash, no need for you all to intervene this time, let me handle it.”

Waving her hand to dismiss the protection of 【Light Blessing】, the bewildered and uncertain expressions on Sigrid and the others, although all legendary strong individuals, were of little use in such a confrontation.

The things hidden on this magic island may be of a higher rank than Violet imagined.

If one insists on exploring, they must bear the responsibility.

“Flames, roar.”

The brilliance of the gemstone at the tip of the “Radiant Fire” staff grew even more dazzling. This purple peak magical weapon, gifted by the Lord of Flame Dragon City Anastasia, although of much lower grade than Violet’s own artifact, unexpectedly excelled in amplifying fire attributes.

Under the command of the priestess girl, the surging golden Holy Flames roared into life.

“Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!!!”

Almost at the same instant, all the blasphemous creatures, with their wild laughter, bared teeth, and sinister strangeness, were mercilessly engulfed by the suddenly ignited holy fire.

“Burn!”

As if in response to the summoner’s command, at the moment the girl raised her staff, the already surging golden flames erupted suddenly, soaring to several times their original height!

“Hehehehehe!!!”

“Hehehehehe, it’s fire! It’s fire hehehehehe”

“Eat her! Let me eat!! Hehehehe, eat! Eat!!”

The Blasphemers writhed strangely in the overwhelming sea of fire, even though their entire bodies were engulfed in flames, their nauseating laughter remained unabated, instead growing more intense as if catalyzed!

But the surge of their hearts couldn’t stop their bodies from lingering even one more second in the purifying flames of the eighth tier. The rising sea of fire gradually merged into one, transforming into a golden fire dragon, surging and swirling!

Every movement of hers turned several blasphemous beings, now mere balls of fire, into flying ashes amidst their grating laughter. There was no mercy, no one spared, and no need for captives or study.

“Rest in the places you belong…”

The white robe rustled in the surging waves of immense magic as the girl lowered the wand glowing red as if about to ignite. With her indifferent voice, the last struggling blasphemous creature also vanished into the golden flames of sanctity.

The grating laughter finally ceased.

Violet wouldn’t pity these monsters, but from the chaotic bodies pieced together, one could see the birth of dozens of blasphemers, at what cost in innocent lives.

Taking lives wasn’t enough, even the corpses they left behind were decomposed and reassembled with bizarre and sinister power to create such insane creatures.

This was the second time, after the Eternal Throne, that Violet felt genuine disgust towards something.

Whether it was the creatures themselves, the place that spawned the blasphemous beings, or the mastermind behind the blasphemers…

The priestess, Violet, would not let any of them go unpunished.

With all the blasphemers burnt to ashes, Violet wasted no time. The flames spread again, reducing to ashes all the cocoons harboring or containing the blasphemers.

However, she still restrained herself somewhat. At least she didn’t burn down the vine door behind her, isolating the grand hall. After all, releasing that many abyssal beasts at once wouldn’t be manageable with just eighth-tier magic.

If she were to destroy the entire magic island now, they wouldn’t be able to see the secrets kept deeper within.

“Whew… It’s been a while since I felt this excited. It’s not bad at all. This is what they call ‘hating evil like an enemy,’ huh~”

The black-haired girl turned around. No longer maintaining the solemn and sacred demeanor from before, she playfully winked at Miss Sigrid, who was now completely dumbfounded. The latter suddenly reacted, retreating several steps as if she had seen a ghost.

“Hey hey hey! Are you… really Violet? Did some mysterious entity swap you out secretly? That girl who always goes around saying, ‘I’m a priestess!’ and ‘I’m not good at direct combat!’—is that really the same person as before???”

“Ahaha… well… huh?”

“Well, ‘huh’ my foot! You, pretending to be weak in front of me every day when you’re clearly so powerful!!”

Another round of chaotic conversation ensued. Despite feeling a bit helpless, it had to be admitted that Sigrid, who could maintain her usual demeanor even after witnessing the true strength of Miss Priestess, was quite impressive.

The last person who could do such a thing was a woman named Crimson Flame Flora.
