However, their strength was inversely proportional to their population. Spread across the Rehm Continent in small settlements, their numbers were said to barely reach 400,000.

Merit had been born in one such settlement.

A small village of about 300 people. The villagers lived by hunting beasts and monsters in the forest, selling their pelts and magic gem fragments to the neighboring human towns. In return, they bought the supplies needed for their daily lives.
