As dawn broke, Yeoreum made her way back to the dungeon where Gyeoul remained, the child left alone in the silence of the dungeon.

"I had it all wrong."

Gyeoul’s words echoed in her mind. The past didn’t matter; what was important was the present and the future. Gyeoul needed reassurance that her life going forward wouldn’t be filled with suffering. She needed to know that she would live happily with her family and friends. But Yeoreum, blinded by her own need for revenge, had said nothing and left.
