Chapter 623: Then the Great Kamangi Will Tear It Off Himself!

[Arrived at the Black Tower, 99th Floor]

"I'm back, Aileen."

Sejun, appearing on the waypoint, announced his return to Aileen.

[The Tower’s administrator greets you warmly.]

“Was everything alright while I was away?”

[The Tower’s administrator replies that there was indeed some news.]

“Oh? What happened?”

[The Tower’s administrator says that the Great Silver Dragons bought a lot of alcohol and snacks from YongYong Market, so sales saw a significant increase.]

“Ah, really? I thought something serious had happened... Thanks, Aileen.”

Relieved, Sejun chuckled, realizing he had expected something like a break-in.

In truth, Aileen had carefully concealed the intrusion by highlighting the increase in sales, never directly lying but gently deflecting Sejun’s attention.

As he chatted with Aileen—

“Haha! Chairman Park, I missed you, meow!”

Quack!

Squeak!

Theo, Kuengi, and Kamangi’s family all emerged from the dimensional warehouse, leaping joyfully toward Sejun.

Gathering his companions, Sejun headed over to Pink Fur, who was still peacefully sleeping.

“Kuengi, sleep well.”

[Good night, Dad.]

Smooch.

After exchanging goodnight kisses with Sejun, Kuengi carefully nestled himself into a cozy spot beside Pink Fur, who nuzzled him affectionately in her sleep.

Sejun watched the peaceful scene for a moment before heading to his house.

“Sejun No. 3, here, take this.”

On the way, he handed Sejun No. 3 the Sword of Stormbringer, now devoid of its former self-awareness and serving as a regular, albeit powerful, weapon. It was still an improvement over what Sejun No. 3 had been using.

With a respectful bow, Sejun No. 3 accepted the sword and, evidently pleased, stared at it for a while before resuming his training.

“Time to lie down!”

Returning home, Sejun gathered his companions and settled comfortably into his fluffy bed.

Moments later—

Snore... Snuffle... Purr...

The group soon drifted into sleep.

Meanwhile, in Kamangi's mental realm, round two of apologies began—

"Please forgive my siblings and take this roasted sweet potato!"

“Haha! And this grilled fish as a peace offering!”

"I'm truly sorry."

"I'm sorry."

Forest of Creation

[Hehe! Now I can create an avatar with 0.5% of my strength!]

Blaze continued to practice creating avatars with undying enthusiasm, while the Trial Statue watched in silence, its eyes slightly glazed over.

[Hehe, Avatar No. 100, go to the Brown Tower!]

[Yes! Avatar No. 100 heading to the Brown Tower!]

The newly created hundredth avatar departed to search for a World Tree candidate in the Brown Tower.

Blaze, having heard about Sejun’s commission to the Great Dragons for creating Great Towers, had been sending avatars to the Silver, Golden, and Brown Towers to find World Tree candidates.

Her grand plan was to help Sejun by producing a World Tree around the time he completed each tower’s requirements.

The Silver Tower was too well-handled by Sejun to need my help, though…

Blaze felt a bit down, having been unable to contribute to the Silver Great Tower's growth.

Just then—

[Hehe! I’ve found a World Tree candidate on the Golden Tower’s 67th Floor!]

Avatar No. 70 returned with promising news.

[Good job, Avatar No. 70!]

[Thank you! I’m off now!]

[Goodbye!]

Avatar No. 70 vanished with a cheerful wave, as avatars had limited lifespans. Blaze experienced no sadness, as the avatars’ spirits were merely extensions of her own.

Thus, Blaze diligently sought out World Tree candidates with her avatars.

Simultaneously, she continued her main body’s task, working tirelessly in <Earthworm> to lure the Tears of Destruction closer by weakening her own energy while boosting Sejun’s power in a careful dual approach.

[I’ll need to relocate soon.]

Bumping her root on Jormungandr’s body, Blaze signaled him to take her to a place with more abundant Tears of Destruction.

The Next Morning

Sejun reviewed the Golden Tower’s Great Tower requirements while strolling through his farm:

[Golden Tower’s Growth Requirements (1/8)]

After assessing the conditions, Sejun noted the completed tasks and what remained to be done.

Obtaining 11 Sacred Artifacts would cover 2 conditions.

Weakening the lightning energy by 50% would cover another 2 conditions.

Gathering 100 World Tree Pieces would fulfill an additional 2 conditions.

“Hmm. The remaining one is tricky.”

Upgrading Cecilia from an A-rank to an S-rank Tower Farmer seemed highly challenging.

Completing 2 Great Feats by feeding employees was achievable, but the other two were less certain.

Growing a World Tree wasn’t guaranteed to go as smoothly as last time, either.

Luckily, the Golden Tower only required 100 World Tree Pieces, unlike the other towers, which needed 10,000 each. Otherwise, this would’ve been much harder.

“Today, I’ll catch up on pending tasks…”

As his thoughts started coming together—

Thud. Thud.

Pink Fur approached, carrying the sleeping Kuengi gently in her mouth.

Pink Fur was preparing to entrust Kuengi to Sejun before heading off for her training session with the Ox-King.

Quack...

As soon as Pink Fur handed him over, Kuengi instinctively nestled into Sejun’s side.

Satisfied, Pink Fur turned north, heading off without any reluctance. It wasn’t that she had no attachment to Kuengi; rather, being family meant attachment wasn’t even questioned.

With Kuengi now in his care, Sejun spoke to his companions.

“Shall we go eat?”

They headed to the cooking area, where Sejun began preparing breakfast.

"Nyaaa~"

Quuack~

Squeeeak~

The enticing aroma of Sejun’s cooking roused his companions one by one.

“Haha! Chairman Park, is my grilled fish coming along well, meow?”

“Of course.”

Hehehe, Dad, what’s for breakfast today?

“Today, we’re having Kuengi’s favorite—fried eggs, sausages, and white rice.”

Heehee! Servant! Did you dry my roasted sweet potato snacks properly?

“Ah! I forgot them today…”

Whaaat?! You forgot? You’re mean!

“Wait, Kamangi, did you just call me mean? Haha! Guess I’ll just eat the sweet potato snacks myself, then.”

No! You’re the best servant!

Each companion eagerly checked the breakfast menu.

After Sejun finished cooking, they enjoyed their meal together.

“Haha! Chairman Park, I’m off to make lots of money, meow!”

[Kuengi will also work hard today!]

Theo and Kuengi set off to the Red Tower’s 27th floor and the Western Herb Garden, respectively, to catch up on the work they’d missed while in the Silver Tower.

With Theo and Kuengi off, Sejun began his farm work as well.

Heehee! Servant! I’ll help you!

After drinking a few drops of the Great Growth Elixir, Kamangi’s family had become quite strong, contributing significantly to the workload.

Once Sejun finished the farm work on the 99th floor, he called forth the portal.

“Portal summon. Kamangi, let’s go.”

Arriving at the 10th Tower—

Heehee! The Great Leader Kamangi has arrived!

Caw caw!

Screeech!

Kamangi’s family received a warm welcome from the Destruction Pioneers and Devourers of Destruction.

[In the Silver Tower, the Great Kamangi destroyed a legendary sword…]

Kamangi proudly recounted his recent exploits to his fellow creatures.

Meanwhile, Sejun planted seeds nearby.

Then—

Boom. Boom.

[The 10th Tower has created 36 million liters of Creation Energy.]

[The 7th floor of the 10th Tower has been unlocked.]

[The 7th floor of the 10th Tower has been activated.]

The 7th floor of the tower had opened, signaling that Sejun could now clear the 6th floor.

Quickly moving to the 6th floor, Sejun placed his hand on a pristine white crystal.

[You have cleared the 6th floor of the 10th Tower.]

[Clearing the 6th floor grants +500 to all stats.]

[Clearing the 5th floor rewards you with 50 billion Tower Coins and 1 trillion experience points.]

[You leveled up.]

[You are moving to the 7th floor.]

Upon entering the 7th floor, Sejun found himself in a very different space than the previous floors.

Instead of expansive fields, he saw a small shrine bathed in a single shaft of light from above, surrounded by cliffs.

So, no farming here?

Cautiously, Sejun stepped inside the shrine and noticed nine pillars of different colors encircling a crystal-clear pond in the center. Strangely, beyond a certain depth, the pond turned pitch-black, as if concealing something ominous.

Backing away from the darkness, Sejun examined the pillars.

Two pillars—one gold, one brown—stood shorter and thinner than the others, reminiscent of the towers’ current state.

“Why are the Nine Towers here...?”

Just as the thought crossed his mind—

[A Quest has been issued.]

[Quest: Complete the transformation of all Nine Towers into Great Towers.]

Reward: Monument of the Creation God

The quest message appeared before him, its brevity belying its daunting difficulty and grand reward.

“Heh, piece of cake.”

Finally, I can collect all the Creation God’s Monuments.

For Sejun, this quest seemed within reach and didn’t feel particularly difficult. He’d already completed 7 towers, possessing 9 Creation God Monuments.

“I’ll be back soon.”

With a touch of flair, Sejun headed down to the first floor.

Heehee! Servant! Where did you go without telling the Great Kamangi? If you leave, you must take me along! I was worried!

Kamangi scolded him as soon as he returned.

“Alright, I’ll take you next time. I’m sorry.”

Sejun ruffled Kamangi’s fur, comforting him.

For a moment, a warm, gentle atmosphere filled the air.

But it didn’t last long.

Heehee! If you’re sorry, then give me five roasted sweet potato snacks!

"Not sorry anymore."

You just said you were! The Great Kamangi heard it loud and clear! Hand over the snacks!

“Haha. Did I, though?”

The two quickly fell into a familiar banter.

Men shouldn’t go back on their word!

“Haha. Not me.”

Sejun teased Kamangi, thoroughly enjoying himself.

Teasing Kamangi was always the best fun.

Amid the playful exchange, Sejun forgot something important—

Kamangi was more dangerous than he looked.

Fine! Then the Great Kamangi will tear it off himself!

Kamangi was a wolf who hunted gods. And he could hunt other things too.

Snap.

“Whoa! Did you actually just bite me? Alright, alright! I’ll give it to you!”

Surrendering, Sejun quickly handed over the snacks, and Kamangi, victorious, happily munched on them.

These taste extra delicious!
