The day after I taught the Elf mom practical combat training, I spread my wings and left the Elf Kingdom.

A promise is a promise. First, I decided to deal with the Demon Lord.

No matter how I think about it, it's hard for the Empire to launch a solo attack on the elves. The Demon Lord's power must have been significant. I don't know much about this world, but according to what the elves told me, that's how it is.

If the Demon Lord is taken out, the Empire’s army will probably hesitate a lot.

The Four Heavenly Kings were weaklings, so it’s obvious the Demon Lord would rank below me.

Should I go for the Demon Lord’s neck first, or should I deal with the monsters first?

Hmm. Looking for the Demon Lord is annoying. I'll start with the monsters. Eventually, he’ll come looking for me himself when his soldiers start dying.

“I can tell right away. It’s those bastards.”

After flying for a while, I spotted a huge, black wave heading toward one of the elf strongholds.

The elves were shooting magic-like stuff at it, but it was like trying to break a rock with an egg.

They won’t be able to hold out with such tactics.

Recently, I’ve been doing some “power-hidden” acts, just playing around.

I’ve been depicted as incredibly strong, but what I've used so far is just basic elemental magic. Nothing too special.

“First, I’ll sweep them away with brute force.”

I swung my sword at the black wave below, which was swarming like cockroaches. Gathering magic at the tip of the blade, I concentrated.

The purple mana gathered at the tip of the sword gradually turned to white flames and formed a small orb.

But there’s a problem.

I need a skill name. I want to use something cooler.

“Skill name… yeah, let’s go with… Destruction Flame.”

With my self-inflicted middle school syndrome fully present, I unleashed the Destruction Flame right in the middle of the black sea.

BOOM!

In an instant, a mushroom cloud erupted.

It wasn’t the same kind of mushroom cloud as an atomic bomb, though.

I don’t really know the principle behind it, but the cloud that rose in the sky turned out to be a pillar of white flames. That pillar melted the land entirely.

“Pretty easy, right?”

Muttering to myself without targeting anyone specifically, I casually glanced at the stronghold.

How will the elves react to this?

“The heavens… the heavens have blessed us!”

An old elf, presumably the commander, was babbling nonsense.

Nah, you wouldn’t even be on my radar if you weren’t related to that elf mom of yours.

Wait, if you’re a female elf soldier, I might feel a little interested, though. But even so, I only treat S-ranks as worthy. I can’t stand elves who all look the same, like they came off a factory line.

“Anyway, should I drop a few more in other places?”

The elves’ task now is to use golems to deal with the Empire, who backstabbed them.

I speak casually, but the elves have taken heavy damage this time. Entire strongholds were wiped out, and most of the elves were killed.

Because the elves treat civilians as soldiers, they naturally took heavy losses.

Even the ones who survived will likely become dark elves, corrupted by the Demon Lord, turning into lifeless puppets.

“Destruction Flame.”

BOOM!

“Flame of Destruction.”

BOOM!

“BFT.”

I unleashed this technique until I got bored. At least I controlled it to avoid harming the elves. If I really wanted to, I could have wiped out both the Empire and everyone else in my way, but why hasn't the Demon Lord shown up yet?

I was starting to get bored when a skeletal figure suddenly appeared in front of me.

“How dare you destroy my army! Who are you, you wretched girl!”

A floating, ragged skeleton. It’s that useless guy I saw at the archives once. The one who got smacked by me and died instantly, laughing at Rachel.

Thinking back, that idiot knew. He knew Rachel was a record. He knew she couldn’t leave the archives. So he must’ve been mocking her.

“Oh, you're that so-called unbreakable lich, huh?”

“Ha-ha-ha! I am immortal! Now that I’m here, you can't defeat me! I will kill you and turn you into an undead, then offer you to the Demon Lord!”

He didn’t learn from when I killed him last time. Wait, is this a different timeline or something? Whatever, I’ll finish him off. I’m not interested in some skeleton.

“You've used so many powerful spells, you can’t possibly have any mana left, right?”

“Do you have no brain? How can you be so sure that I’ve used up all my magic just because I cast a few spells?”

Is that really all you got?

“What?”

“Oh, sorry. I forgot you don’t have a brain.”

That was my mistake, hoping the skull had a brain.

“In life, I was a renowned scholar!”

“And now you don’t even have a brain, you dumb skeleton.”

What the hell is even inside that skull? Probably nothing.

“Aaargh! Die!”

“Yeah, die.”

I was still riding the high of the battle.

“Didn’t I tell you? I was a renowned scholar. I will take your body and serve the Demon Lord!”

The already-dead skeleton was rambling about serving the Demon Lord. What a dreamer.

Suddenly, its body vanished, and the lich transformed into some eerie blue smoke? Or slime? It looked like a weird gelatinous thing and flew toward me.

“Oh, is that its soul? A lich’s unique ability?”

But these kinds of things usually come silently.

It won’t be able to get away. I caught the strange blue smoke flying toward me.

“Hmm?”

There’s a dead elf on the ground. She’s quite pretty, actually. Something amusing came to mind.

I put the disgusting blue soul into her corpse.

“Ha-ha! Finally, a fresh young body! Oh?”

It stopped mid-sentence as its new eyes turned toward me, then it looked down at its own body.

“You crazy bastard. Well, yeah, I am a young girl. But how rotten must your mind be to turn a perfectly fine elf body into a dark elf?”

This elf wasn’t like Reyna’s dark elf. Reyna’s dark elf form has pale purple skin, but this one has copper-colored skin, like the color of golden sunlight.

Just a moment ago, she was a regular elf corpse with pale white skin. Wait, can you even come back to life with a soul shoved into you?

“You… you put me into the elf's body?! How… how?”

I just shoved it in there.

“I told you, you don’t have a brain. That’s why you couldn’t even figure out who I am before you got messed with.”

I’m not surprised by this. From the Demon Lord’s perspective, they probably think the strongest being in this world is the Demon Lord. If someone as powerful as me existed, it would have been known by now. But I’m an outsider from another world. Why would they know about me?

“What will you do to me now?”

What should I do? I’ll just show you what it means to line up properly.

“It’s simple. Just like this, I’ll drag you around.”

I put a magic collar on it. After putting its soul in once, it’ll be hard to pull it out again.

“Watch with your own eyes. See how your precious Demon Lord’s army gets annihilated.”

I demonstrated this a few more times, annihilating several armies.

Before long, most of the Demon Lord’s army advancing from the north of the Elven Kingdom had been wiped out. The lich-turned dark elf had eyes that were now wide in disbelief. It seemed like it was finally realizing who it had messed with.

“B-but this is too much! These soldiers were only following orders!”

“Those soldiers are dead, aren’t they? Well, I guess you guys can massacre all the elves you want, it’s fine by me.”

“But why!?”

“Oh, because the Elf Queen promised to become my woman.”

Just a simple reason.

“What?”

“In short, I’m massacring you all to take the Elf Queen for myself. Yeah, surprisingly, I’m a dragon who takes care of the afterlife, so this kind of thing is possible.”

I roughly calculated the Demon Lord’s army’s route and figured out that the monsters were coming from the north.

They were simpletons, charging forward with just sheer numbers, so it was easy to predict. I had a map from the elves, so I just had to estimate the distance.

This time, I decided to use a bigger Destruction Flame. Maybe two shots will do the trick.

“Hey, the Demon Lord’s territory is up north, right?”

“Y-yes, but why?”

“Can you, as a lich, see the souls of the dead? You must have the skill to enter other bodies, right?”

“Of course! I’m an immortal lich who controls souls!”

Not the time to be bragging.

“Heh. Then watch closely. The greatest villain of this world is going to throw a little ball at you.”

“That’s not a ball! Wait, is it?!”

“Yeah, it is. I’m serious.”

I compressed a Destruction Flame into a small sphere and threw it towards the distant north.

It flew fast and hit the Demon Lord's territory.

BOOOOOOM!

A massive white pillar of fire erupted from the Demon Lord's domain in the north. The earth itself trembled.

That pillar spread across the Demon Lord's entire territory, almost as if it were a divine judgment from the heavens.

Of course, that doesn’t concern me. Whether they live or die doesn't matter.

I just did it for my elf mom.

“So many, dozens, maybe even hundreds of thousands. How can they wear human masks!?”

It felt like the souls of demons were crying out, but who cares?

“Don’t you see the elves who were dying a while ago? You’re the ones responsible for their deaths. Oh, by the way, you all could have wiped out the elves if you’d killed them properly.”

“But why!”

“Oh, because the Elf Queen promised to become my woman.”

Just a simple reason.

“What!?”

“In short, I’m massacring you all to take the Elf Queen for myself. Yeah, surprisingly, I’m a dragon who takes care of the afterlife, so this kind of thing is possible.”

I quickly figured out the Demon Lord's army's route from the map the elves gave me. They were charging forward with just sheer numbers, so it was predictable.

This time, I decided to use a larger Destruction Flame. A couple of shots should do the job.

“In short, that’s it. I’m massacring you all to take the Elf Queen for myself. Yeah, surprisingly, I’m a dragon who takes care of the afterlife, so this kind of thing is possible.”

I quickly calculated the Demon Lord's army's route and realized that the monster territories were to the north.

They were advancing with just sheer numbers, making it easy to predict their movements.

The elves had given me a map, so I just had to estimate the distances.

This time, I decided to use a larger Destruction Flame. Maybe one or two shots would be enough to clean things up.

“Hey, the Demon Lord’s domain is up north, right?”

“Y-yes, but why?”

“You’re a lich, right? Can you see the souls of the dead? With your skills, I’m sure you also have the ability to enter other bodies.”

“Of course! I’m an immortal lich who controls souls!”

Not the time to be boasting.

“Heh. Then watch closely. The greatest villain in this world, the mighty dragon, is about to throw a cute little ball, alright?”

“That’s not a ball! Wait, is it?!”

“Yeah, that’s exactly what it is.”

I compressed a shot of Destruction Flame into a small ball and threw it toward the distant north.

It flew fast and seemed to land exactly in the Demon Lord's domain in the northern part of the continent.

BOOOOOOM!

A massive white pillar of fire shot up from the Demon Lord's territory in the north. The earth itself shook.

The pillar spread across the entire Demon Lord’s domain, almost like a divine judgment coming down from the heavens.

Of course, I don’t care about any of that. Whether they live or die is none of my business. I just did my duty for my elf mom.

“Thousands, tens of thousands, maybe even millions. How dare they wear human masks!”

It felt like the demons' souls were crying out.

“Don’t you see the elves who were dying just a moment ago? The hypocrisy is overwhelming. Well, the reason you’re all dying is simple. It’s because of my elf mom.”

Thinking about it, this is still part of writer Yoo Eun-ha’s world, isn’t it?

This is just one of the events in this world, and the setup is pretty rough. So, I couldn’t care less about whether those things die or not.

This time, I’m on the humans’ side, but here, I’m with the elves. I’ve killed the monsters, so the Empire’s position should be pretty tough now.

“For just one woman… you crazy bitch!”

The lich’s copper-colored skin turned pale as he realized I was massacring everyone just to get a woman’s body.

He must think I’m out of my mind.

To be honest, even I’m surprised. I mean, what kind of crazy person goes around killing people just to get a woman?

“Anyway, you’re perfect as a slave for Reyna. Be grateful I’m letting you live.”

“You bitch! How dare you kill our Demon Lord’s people!”

Wait, isn’t that the Abyssal Knight? The guy I saw in the archives, showing up one by one.

“Ah, the one who already died once? Please, get lost.”

I burned him, and he died instantly. He died just as easily as before, back in the archives.

“Hiiieeeek!”

The copper-colored elf's body was trembling.

But then… something strange happened. A stream of liquid started dripping from between her legs.

“Hey, you never even peed when you were a skeleton, right? This is such an embarrassing sight. You get it now? The thing you should be doing right now is licking my feet and begging me to let you live.”

“When the Demon Lord comes, everything will be over!”

This elf still hasn’t grasped the situation.

Isn’t she just like that Kim Seung-jun, who was fanatically loyal to the Black Church?

No, at least that guy didn’t go full-on cult mode right away.

“Do you think that guy could have used something like this?”

I pointed to the distant white pillar of fire, still rising in the distance.

“….”

She couldn’t answer. She must already know the answer. The situation has completely flipped, and her master, the Demon Lord, is no match for the slaughterer standing before her.

She probably still refuses to accept it, though.

It makes sense. Her entire belief system, the loyalty she’s held onto all her life, has just crumbled in an instant.

“If that were the case, the elves would have disappeared long ago. The Empire would probably have been defeated too, don’t you think?”

If the Demon Lord had that kind of power, why would he bother with an alliance with the Empire?

I laughed loudly at the elf. Her expression twisted in anger as she ground her teeth.

And then, as if on cue, a child appeared before me, arrogantly.

“Did you… did you kill my precious people?”

“Who are you?”

I had a feeling I knew who it was, but I was disappointed.

I didn’t expect a pretty boy. I thought it would at least be the loli Demon Lord, but the boy was dressed in a cloak, looking like your typical middle school syndrome character…

But wait, why does he have the same hair color as me?

Suddenly, my blood pressure spiked. My head was pounding, and my hands and feet started to shake.

His face might look childish, but inside, he must be pretty old.

“I am the Demon Lord. The absolute ruler of the Lotus Continent! How dare you kill my people on my land! You must pay with your life!”

Oh, I’m down for a fight. I’m pretty pissed off too, seeing we have the same hair color.

But before we fight, there’s something I have to know.

“Before we fight, let me ask you this. Why are you trying to kill the elves?”

If I kill him right now, I’ll never know why the Demon Lord destroyed Reyna’s ancestors. I need to hear this answer.

“I’m avenging the previous Demon Lord and following the natural course of things!”

“Natural course?”

“This world belongs to me! Why did you kill my people?”

How can he even ask such a question?

“Oh, I’m getting tired of this. But fine, since you asked, I’ll answer.”

I started to feel sorry for this white-haired boy.

Why did writer Yoo Eun-ha give him such a backstory?

Was she really trying to surprise me? Now that the novel has turned into reality, that Demon Lord is real too.

The Demon Lord is supposed to be the villain, right? So if I kill him, it’s justified.

He’s the one who destroyed the Elf Kingdom, after all.

Maybe the Demon Lord is just a pawn in this massive slaughter. But, whatever, I’m the reincarnation of Azidahaka. My true nature doesn’t change.

I could already feel myself grinning like a madman.

“Just for fun.”

“What!?”

Before the Demon Lord could react, I grabbed his neck with a single swift motion, twisting it with a force that snapped it in one clean turn.

SNAP!

His head rolled to the ground.

The sight was so anticlimactic that the lich froze in place.

It had been so long since I’d felt the thrill of taking life just for the fun of it. A chill ran down my body, and I felt a sudden urge to strip and make that elf serve me.

“Haaah~ I’m satisfied♥”

Warm blood splashed on my face as the Demon Lord’s severed head spurted it out, and it dripped down my body to the ground.

“Y-you crazy bitch… you killed the Demon Lord!? H-how…!”

“You kneel and beg for your life, you bitch.”

“I am the Demon Lord! The absolute ruler of the Lotus Continent! How dare you kill my people on my land! You must forfeit your life!”

Fighting is fine, I guess. It’s just that the fact we share the same hair color really gets under my skin.

But before we fight, there’s something I’m really curious about.

“Let me ask you something before we start fighting. Why do you want to kill the elves?”

If I just kill him now, I’ll never get the answer.

I need to know why the Demon Lord destroyed Reyna’s ancestors. I absolutely have to hear it.

“I’m avenging the previous Demon Lord and following the natural course of things!”

“Natural course?”

“This world belongs to me! And why did you kill my people?”

The fact that he even asked such a question is ridiculous.

“Ah, I’m getting tired of this plot. But fine, since you asked, I’ll answer.”

I started to feel a bit sorry for this white-haired boy.

Why did writer Yoo Eun-ha give him such a backstory? Was she really trying to surprise me? Now that the novel has become reality, this Demon Lord is real too.

Demon Lords are supposed to be villains.

So, if I kill him, it’s totally justified. After all, he’s the one who destroyed the Elf Kingdom.

Maybe my elf mom was just an excuse for this massive slaughter. Whatever the case, I’m the reincarnation of Azidahaka. My essence doesn’t change.

I could feel myself grinning like a madman, my smile stretching wider.

“Just for fun.”

“What!?”

Before the Demon Lord could react, I quickly grabbed his neck and twisted it, snapping it with one swift motion, like twisting the neck of a chicken.

SNAP!

His head fell to the ground with such a hollow thud that the lich froze in place, completely stunned.

It’s been so long since I’ve felt this thrill—the pleasure of taking lives just for fun. My body was shivering with the rush of it. I almost wanted to strip off my panties and make that chocolate elf serve me right then and there.

“Haaah~ that’s good♥”

Warm blood gushed from the Demon Lord's severed neck, splattering across my face and dripping down my body, falling to the ground.

“You… you crazy bitch. You killed the Demon Lord…!? H-how…!?”

“Kneel, you bitch.”

The Demon Lord is dead, and the lich, still frozen in disbelief, watches as the protagonist revels in the power they now wield.
