Chapter 378 Table of contents

In the depths of Sehee Institute, at the end of a corridor lined with gray walls and cold metal doors, there was a room marked 'Gray Reaper Isolation Room.'

Yerin walked lightly towards the room.

Her face was full of excitement and anticipation.

"Finally...!"

Yerin muttered under her breath.

As soon as she heard the news that the Pacific crisis had been resolved, Yerin rushed here.

The resolution of such a global-scale incident meant the return of the Gray Reaper, and Yerin couldn’t contain her excitement at the thought of meeting the Gray Reaper again.

She placed her security card on the reader, and the door opened slightly. With a joyful smile, Yerin entered.

But her smile quickly faded.

Inside the room, there were only Mini Reapers lounging on the bed, and there was no sign of the Gray Reaper.

"Aww..."

A disappointed sigh escaped from Yerin’s lips.

Yerin looked around the isolation room again, tilting her head in confusion.

"Isn't it back yet...?"

A pang of disappointment crossed her heart, but she quickly gathered herself, smiling at the Mini Reapers who were comforting her by patting her feet.

Yerin sat down on the bed in the center of the room.

She picked up the remote and turned on the large TV mounted on the wall.

As the screen lit up, the news channel appeared, and the voice of the announcer began to fill the quiet room.

[Breaking News: The large-scale psychic contamination that engulfed the Pacific has been dramatically resolved.]

[This incident, which began in the heart of the Pacific, spread to the U.S. West Coast, Hawaii, and the Japanese Archipelago, was an unprecedented event.]

[What is particularly noteworthy is that the hero who resolved this crisis is our country’s special-grade Object, the 'Gray Reaper.']

[According to the James Institute’s announcement, the Gray Reaper entered the heart of the Pacific alone and demonstrated an astonishing ability to eliminate the Objects in a short time.]

[This remarkable feat has once again proven the Gray Reaper’s abilities, and it’s reported that some Object Associations are seriously considering raising the Gray Reaper's rank.]

[Experts suggest that the Gray Reaper’s powers now exceed even the special-grade level, with discussions about the creation of a 'Transcendent' grade.]

[Meanwhile, the economic damage caused by this incident is estimated to be astronomical, and governments are moving quickly to begin recovery efforts.]

[Thanks to the Gray Reaper’s efforts, the loss of life has been minimized, but there are growing concerns about the lingering effects of psychic contamination, with authorities required to implement thorough measures.]

As the announcer’s clear voice continued, the screen switched to a recorded clip.

The Gray Reaper, eyes closed and floating gently on the sea, bathed in the morning sunlight.

At that moment, Yerin noticed the reactions of the Mini Reapers gathered around her.

"Mom!"

"Mom!"

The Mini Reapers, seeing the Gray Reaper on the screen, hopped around with bright smiles.

"..."

And then there were the Mini Reapers, who, with indifferent expressions, showed no reaction.

Most of the Mini Reapers seemed completely uninterested, as if they didn’t even recognize the existence of the TV.

Yerin caught a Golden Reaper jumping around excitedly and, with a curious gleam in her eyes, leaned in to watch.

"More and more Mini Reapers are enjoying TV... Did the Reapers catch this habit?"

Yerin muttered to herself, her face filled with genuine curiosity.

"?"

But the Golden Reaper only tilted its head, looking up at Yerin in confusion.

Then, Yerin’s gaze swept across the room and paused.

Something felt off.

"It seems like there are fewer Mini Reapers."

The number of Mini Reapers was noticeably fewer than when she first entered the room.

As soon as she realized that, Yerin’s eyes widened, and a smile spread across her face.

"The Reaper’s back!"

Her face brightened with joy, and her heart began to race with excitement.

Without hesitation, she stood up and waved goodbye to the Mini Reapers.

"Goodbye!"

"Goodbye!"

Some Mini Reapers waved back with bright smiles as they giggled.

Yerin dashed out of the room, passing through the courtyard and entering the Mini Reaper Garden.

The sweet scent of hot chocolate and soft marshmallows filled the air.

Mini Reapers filled the space, and finally, she spotted the Gray Reaper, tapping the Golden Reapers' bellies.

Yerin stared for a moment, mesmerized by the scene, before breaking into a bright smile and running towards the Gray Reaper.

In the Mini Reaper Garden, Marshmallow Plains:

"No!"

"Mom lied!"

I was having fun tapping the bellies of the Golden Reapers, who had turned into chubby balls.

Hehe.

The chubby Golden Reapers were all Golden Reapers who had merged into one after running toward me.

I was enjoying the fusion process so much that I had a good idea.

"Wouldn’t it be fun to lure the Golden Reapers in with the fusion, then turn them into chubby balls?"

That was a rather harmless thought.

So I used the fusion to gather many Golden Reapers and—Bam!

The result was the Golden Reaper Chubby Ball Land.

"No!"

I tapped on the chubby bellies of the Golden Reapers, hearing their frustrated will.

I was having so much fun when, suddenly, Yerin appeared in the Mini Reaper Garden.

"Reaper! Let’s go play at the theme park!"

Before I knew it, Yerin scooped me up like a cat and began taking me somewhere.

Had the theme park that we had been building for so long finally been completed?

I wondered, as I was gently carried by Yerin’s hands toward the theme park.

Under the hot midday sun, the entrance to the Gray Reaper Theme Park was filled with an unexpected crowd.

Despite it being close to lunchtime, there was a long line in front of the ticket counter.

Yerin let out a small sigh as she looked down at the Gray Reaper, who stood silently beside her.

Originally, she had planned to sneak out of the institute and go play just the two of them, but that plan had failed.

Even though Sehee Institute was chaotic, it was still impossible to leave through the front door with the Gray Reaper without being noticed.

She had hoped the security team would be away for lunch, but just as they were about to leave, Sehee had attached herself, saying, "Let me go with you!"

Then, just as they were about to exit, Yerin was caught by Seo-ah, who was resting near the entrance.

At that moment, Sehee had called for an institute-wide outing on her phone, turning Yerin’s quiet escape attempt into a group outing instead.

"Aww."

While Yerin and the Gray Reaper stood in line at the ticket counter, she could feel the gazes of the people around them.

Unlike before, their gazes were now filled with either curiosity or admiration.

Yerin felt a slight sense of pride as she straightened her shoulders.

When they reached the counter, the staff member looked a bit surprised upon seeing the Gray Reaper, but smiled brightly and greeted them.

"Welcome to the Gray Reaper Theme Park!"

"One free pass, please!"

Hearing this, Yerin picked up the Gray Reaper and handed it to the staff.

The Gray Reaper looked annoyed, but Yerin couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight.

However, since the free pass had been designed to fit around the waist of the Mini Reapers, it didn’t fit the Gray Reaper properly.

It was too loose to fit around its fingers and too small to fit around its wrists or ankles.

"..."

While Yerin thought about it, the Gray Reaper looked on and laughed softly.

"Ah!"

After some thinking, Yerin tied the free pass to the Gray Reaper’s head.

The Gray Reaper, now sporting a ponytail, had a sulky expression.

After passing the ticket counter, Sehee and Seo-ah were waiting outside.

Seo-ah had tied a belt to the Golden Reaper she had been carrying, and the Golden Reaper was happily clapping its hands in the air.

Next to them, the Seedling Reaper was likely hovering in its ethereal form.

Golden Reapers that were friendly with Seedling Reapers often enjoyed clapping games, seemingly for the amusement of onlookers.

Sehee, without hesitation, tied free pass belts to every Golden Reaper she had brought with her.

Sehee shouted at Seo-ah, who was staring at the expense with a look of disbelief.

"If one gets the belt, the others will be sad!"

"!"

Seo-ah looked startled, as if realizing the deeper meaning behind it.

Yerin smiled softly at this scene and turned to the sisters.

"So, where should we go first?"

And thus began the theme park tour for Yerin and the Gray Reaper.

As the red sky of sunset wrapped around Sehee Institute:

Under the fiery sky, the last Red Reaper, the granddaughter of the association’s president, was staring up at the heavens.

Her hair fluttered in the evening breeze.

The last Red Reaper’s eyes were fixed on the sky, filled with a slight sense of worry.

"An attachment human, huh..."

A small thought slipped out of the last Red Reaper’s will.

Unlike most Red Reapers, who had taken the man in the black suit as their attachment human or had no intention of forming such bonds, the last Red Reaper had a slight desire to find an attachment human, much like a few others had.

"Revolution!"

Suddenly, drawn by a will, she turned her head. In her gaze, a familiar figure appeared.

The only Red Reaper not a granddaughter, and the most adored one, was stretching both hands toward the sky, sending out a will.

One by one, the other Red Reapers began to follow the call of "Revolution!"

Watching them, a small smile appeared on the last Red Reaper’s lips.

After a moment, the last Red Reaper took a deep breath, as if making a decision.

And with a burst of flame from her mouth, she slowly but surely began to rise into the air.

The Red Reaper was flying north, seeking an attachment human, toward the cold northern lands where her warmth might be needed.
