Valentin's worries seemed unfounded as Meyer smiled brightly and shook his head.
"Not at all. Everyone's been so kind to me, and the children are all pure and sweet."
Perhaps because it wasn’t the social scene, there didn’t seem to be anyone here who looked down on or bullied Meyer for being naive and gentle.
"I'm really glad to hear that."
A noble house long steeped in history but reduced to an empty title. An adopted child from such a family, with a poor reputation in high society and the added stigma of being a recessive omega... Valentin’s heart ached as he listened to Meyer calmly speak about how others viewed him. He wanted to encourage Meyer, to praise his true worth and lift his spirits.
"The children must be so lucky to have someone as wonderful as you to guide them. I mean it, Meyer."
“W-Wonderful? Thank you for saying that so kindly.”
