The rain had stopped.

Seeing the Steel-Clad Leg Monster suddenly appear behind her, Qiao Sang instantly understood that the recent rain wasn’t caused by that bird pet beast but by this creature instead.

The appearance of the Steel-Clad Leg Monster did make her panic for a moment, but that was all!

“Little Treasure, Shadow Control!” Qiao Sang called out, standing beside Li Songhai.

In a battle without established rules, staying beside the opposing Beast Master was naturally the safest spot, especially since this Beast Master was still in a deep sleep.

Qiao Sang would never admit it was cowardice; she was just being cautious!

“Xun!”

Little Treasure extended two short toes, and as sunlight shone down, his shadow twisted, stretching directly toward the Steel-Clad Leg Monster.

The Steel-Clad Leg Monster, lacking any command from its Beast Master, instinctively jumped back, avoiding the encroaching shadow.

With Little Treasure’s small size, and considering the early morning sun casting long shadows due to his low angle, he should have been able to reach the creature.

However, with the Steel-Clad Leg Monster’s large frame and swift movements, the shadow extension couldn’t keep up with the distance it was creating.

“Yabao, hold it down!” Qiao Sang quickly commanded.

In mid-air, Yabao’s eyes flashed blue.

A wave of invisible force caused the armored-footed creature to momentarily freeze. In that brief instant, the shadow on the ground extended quickly, linking with the creature’s shadow.

Before it could break free, Little Treasure’s toes twitched, and under the control of Shadow Control, the Steel-Clad Leg Monster started spinning in place.

“Armor!!!”

The creature’s wretched scream snapped Rain Swallow out of the chain of unexpected events.

“Chi chi!”

Enduring the pain, Rain Swallow flapped its wings, flying upward. It then swooped down, accelerating as a cyan glow enveloped its body.

Its target was Little Treasure.

“Dodge!”

Qiao Sang calmly assessed the situation.

Brave Bird Assault, a mid-tier flying-type skill, was known for being a challenging move to learn and for its powerful impact.

Its speed and attack strength were formidable.

But this move had a flaw: After hitting the target, the user would sustain a portion of the damage dealt to the opponent.

However, if the pet beast using Brave Bird Assault had both the Hard Head and Magic Guard abilities, it wouldn’t suffer any self-inflicted harm.

With Little Treasure’s defense, there was no way he could withstand this move. Yabao still had Water Luriana on his back, making a Flame Charge like before impractical.

Rain Swallow’s Brave Bird Assault came at an incredible speed, and Yabao’s other attacks couldn’t guarantee a precise hit.

If he missed, Little Treasure would get hurt. Even if it hit, Little Treasure would still suffer residual damage, not worth the risk.

“Xun~”

With a swift teleportation, Little Treasure appeared three meters away.

Rain Swallow’s attack missed its mark.

But due to the teleportation, Shadow Control couldn’t continue.

The linked shadows broke apart.

“Armor…”

The Steel-Clad Leg Monster staggered, seeing stars, but remained standing.

Seeing it start to recover from its dizzy state, Qiao Sang shouted, “Yabao, Fire Fang!”

At her command, Yabao instantly teleported behind the Steel-Clad Leg Monster.

“Yal!”

Yabao raised his head, and a fierce fiery aura filled the air.

“Chi chi!”

Rain Swallow flapped its wings, trying to rush over and stop it. But as it began to move, it found itself immobilized.

Not far away, Little Treasure was staring at it intently, his eyes glowing blue.

Back to Yabao, red flames gathered around it. The energy, which should have condensed swiftly, delayed momentarily, then surged powerfully.

A blazing fire formed into the shape of a massive Flame Hound’s head and Fire Fang in front of Yabao.

With a fierce motion, the fiery Flame Hound bit down viciously.

“Armor!!!”

The Steel-Clad Leg Monster let out a heart-wrenching scream and collapsed with a loud thud, losing consciousness.

Sitting on Yabao’s back, Water Luriana watched the scene, feeling her heartbeat skip, then race faster and faster.

“Yap?”

Yabao tilted his head, reflecting on what had just happened.

Had his Fire Fang always looked like that?

Qiao Sang looked at the altered Fire Fang with a calm expression, exuding an air of expertise.

In truth, however, she was laughing wildly on the inside.

The Steel-Clad Leg Monster was a water and rock-type beast, making it a deadly match-up for Yabao’s fire abilities.

Currently, Yabao’s strongest skill was Meteor Rain, but they were on a road. If someone suddenly appeared from around the corner, she’d have no idea how to explain it.

Fire Fang was Yabao’s second strongest attack skill. But, pitting a perfectly mastered Fire Fang against a high-level, attribute-restricted Steel-Clad Leg Monster left her with some doubt.

So, as Yabao used Fire Fang, she activated her golden finger, raising his perfected proficiency level to mastery.

Yabao’s Fire Fang had already reached the peak of perfection, nearly reaching mastery by the day’s end.

In the past, Qiao Sang might have hesitated, but now she didn’t even think twice before adding 80 points to it.

Did she lack points?

Nope!

Besides, points were meant to be used!

As expected, even a high-level pet beast with an elemental advantage stood no chance against a mastered Fire Fang.

But Little Treasure’s Shadow Control, which had spun it around endlessly, played a significant role in this victory.

The Steel-Clad Leg Monster was down, but Rain Swallow wasn’t.

The Steel-Clad Leg Monster's fall clearly impacted Rain Swallow, as it didn’t even notice when it could move again.

“Xun Xun~”

Little Treasure teleported beside Rain Swallow, poked it with one of his toes.

Startled, Rain Swallow instinctively turned its head.

Under the influence of an advanced Hypnosis, Rain Swallow fell helplessly to the ground.

“Lu lu!”

Water Luriana let out an excited cry at the sight of the humans and beasts lying unconscious on the ground.

Qiao Sang reminded, “Get back into the bag.”

“Lu lu…”

Water Luriana hesitated, glancing at Yabao with reluctance.

“Yap.”

Yabao didn’t look back but, at Qiao Sang’s word, teleported to her backpack, signaling Water Luriana to hurry inside.

Water Luriana: …

Qiao Sang looked at Li Songhai lying on the ground, still deep in sleep. Then a thought struck her, and she stiffly reached into her pocket, pulling out her phone.

8:02 AM.

Looking at the time displayed on the screen, Qiao Sang’s mouth twitched. Late on the third day of school, she’d get lectured to death.

However…

Qiao Sang shifted her gaze back to Li Songhai on the ground. Solving this nuisance seemed more important right now.
