The next day had finally arrived.
It was the day the Finding Cup tournament would begin.
I had taken the day off for this event.
Lately, it seemed like I was taking a lot of days off… but when I worked, I worked hard.
I was sure the boss wouldn’t mind.

‘They’re the ones who gave me permission in the first place.’

There was no need to worry.
I trusted my boss.
I trusted myself for trusting my boss.
With that thought, I started the broadcast.

[The broadcast has started!]

It was 12 PM.
Normally, I would start the broadcast around 4 or 5 PM, so this was unusually early.
Starting 4 hours earlier than usual.

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: hey hey]

Jeong Ye-wool, who had already contacted me in advance, was the first to enter the broadcast.
From my experience, having the manager already in the stream makes a huge difference.
They help organize the chaotic nature of the broadcast and keep things running smoothly.

“Hey, everyone.”

[Hey hey]
[Du-ha]
[Hello, Duma]
[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: It’s not Duma, it’s Dama.]
[I know, haha.]
[Hwanhee: hey hey]
[Kang Hoo-min: So, the Finding Cup is starting today, huh?]

There had been rumors all over about the Finding Cup starting today.
Since so many streamers were participating, many people were looking forward to it.

“I saw earlier, seems like everyone is starting their streams now.”

Since the matchups for Finding Cup weren’t set yet, even those who normally didn’t stream had started broadcasting.
The entire Twis was buzzing with excitement.

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Twis is so crowded hahaha]
[Even those who don’t usually stream are streaming now, it’s packed.]
[Ao, these guys should stream more regularly.]
[If only I could be like Duma.]
[Too many people who don’t stream regularly.]
[Kang Hoo-min: The fact is, they don’t stream often because they get free money from viewers.]
[That’s the truth, Kang Hoo-min hahaha.]
[But it’s true.]
[They only stream when the money runs out, so it’s not wrong.]
[In that sense, Duma is impressive..]
[Long live Duma!]

It had been a while since Twis felt this busy, and it was a bit exciting. I entered Finding Cup’s stream.

[Li Maldo, that trash Li Maldo, that trash Li Maldo, that trash Li Maldo...]
[Li Maldo is really a trash...]
[Who’s Li Maldo, you bunch of nerds haha.]
[Everyone calm down and just watch the game.]
[How can you watch a game if you’re not playing it?]
[The drawing’s happening now, stop getting worked up.]
[By the way, I’m so excited hahaha.]

The speed at which the chat in Fine's stream was moving was insane.
I thought my stream had a fast chat, but compared to the so-called “big corporate” streamers, the level was on another scale.
It was like the chat was whizzing by.

‘How do they even read this?’

Even with all the trolling, it was hard to even catch what was going on.
Is this even possible?
I thought to myself as I continued watching the stream.

The host’s ability to manage the stream was impressive.
It was clear they had experience.
I thought to myself, ‘That’s amazing,’ and kept watching.

The drawing began.

“I’m a bit nervous about the drawing.”

I was confident I would win against whoever came my way, but it’d be easier if I got a weaker opponent.
No one liked getting matched with a tough opponent, which meant more preparation and more trouble.

I kept watching as the matchups were decided.

[Harin - Fabru]
“Harin’s opponent is already decided.”

I had already thought about how I would handle Harin if we were matched.
But I couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed as I kept watching.

After a while, the next matchup was drawn.

[Fine - Dama]
“Wait, what?”

I had never expected to be matched up against Fine.
I knew Fine was hosting, but I hadn’t realized Fine would be participating.

[What the hell?]
[Why is Fine participating?]
[Is Fine playing too?]
[Isn’t the host supposed to be a commentator?]
[Why is Fine participating?]

Naturally, there was a lot of chatter in Fine's stream about it.

Fine explained logically.
It made sense when I thought about it.
Since Fine was the one hosting, why not enjoy it as well?

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: That makes sense.]
[Yeah hahaha]
[He put up 10 million for the prize, of course he should enjoy the game.]
[As expected, Fine is being honest.]
[Fine is really straightforward.]
[Kang Hoo-min: But doesn’t Fine play Reore? Does he stand a chance?]
[Fine is between Master and Grandmaster level.]

Wait.
Did I hear that right?

“Master to Grandmaster level?”

I had never heard Fine had such a high tier.

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: Yeah.]
[Fine is pretty famous, and his tier’s really high.]
[Fine is good at Reore haha.]
[But he’s more about his stream management than his raw mechanics.]
[Kang Hoo-min: Fine's stream is more about his management, not his mechanics.]

“Ah, I guess I can win.”

I said that, and then returned to watching Fine's stream.

As soon as I started watching, I heard Fine say something shocking.

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: hahahahahahahahaha] [Who? Who is this? Who is this? Who is this? Who is this?] [Who is this?] [Seriously, who is this?] [Hilarious hahaha]

They didn’t know me.
I had thought they might not know me, but hearing it directly made me a bit sad.
Of course, my stream had only 200-300 viewers, but I thought they would at least know me since I was invited.

“It’s fine, I’ll just become more famous.”

I decided to think positively.
If I got more famous, Fine would eventually get to know me.

With that thought, I kept watching Fine's stream.

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: What the hell, why is Mangming involved?] [This is too much.]
[Is Fine trying to start a war or what?] [When I think back on Mangming's past, I’m just glad he’s not banned.]

I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to make Fine regret this in the Finding Cup,’ as I kept watching the drawing.
Before I knew it, the first match was starting.

“Alright, the game will start in the evening. Anyone coming, don’t wait too long.”

Since the drawing had taken some time, the games would start in the evening, meaning there was still plenty of time.

[🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: It’s fine, there’s nothing to do anyway.] [Let’s play solo rank in the meantime.] [I started my stream early, so let’s do solo rank.] [Hwanhee: If you can’t join the tournament after playing solo rank, that’ll be hilarious hahaha.]

Hmm.
I thought solo rank might be a good way to practice champions.

“Alright, I’ll play a little solo rank.”

I said this and started a solo rank game.

“Ugh, barely won that. That was tough.”

This match had been really hard.
I almost lost, to be honest.
Feeling relieved, I checked the chat.

[Breaking news) Harin got eliminated hahaha] [Harin’s out?] [🗡️Omniscient Cthulhu: She played terribly..] [How did she lose like that?] [How did she get a support Ummi pick with random champions hahaha.]

News about Harin’s elimination came in.
It was a little surprising.
Even though Harin wasn’t the best, she shouldn’t have lost so badly.
I was a bit disappointed as I stopped playing and checked the chat.

“Alright, things are about to get interesting.”

Harin was out, and now, the fun rebellion was about to begin.
