1st Floor of the Silver Tower
“Puhuhut. Chairman Park, everything’s packed up, meow!”
“Hehehe. Great job.”
Theo emerged from Bling-Bling Silver & Cash’s boss’s office, having looted the vault, and Sejun rewarded him with a pat on the head.
Meanwhile:
Ghe-he-he.
Queng was busy raiding Ova’s snacks from the boss’s office.
Heehee! Squeak-squeak!
[Heehee! This is my butler! So don’t mess with the mighty Kamangi!]
Kamangi barked at Ova, who was now subdued, strutting around proudly in front of him.
As Sejun and his companions confiscated all of Bling-Bling Silver & Cash’s assets:
[Merchant Network Notification]
Black Money Ova of the Silver Tower has entered the Merchant Network.
[Silver Tower Merchant, Big Wing Kadan: It looks like all the Silver Tower merchants have finally joined the network.]
[Silver Tower Merchant, Lady Commander Bureen: Hohoho. I always thought Sejun would catch him eventually, but it happened so quickly!]
[Silver Tower Merchant, Gambler Charlie: Justice served by Sejun!]
The other merchants in the Silver Tower welcomed Ova’s entry into the network with sarcastic glee.
“Time’s running out. Let’s go quickly.”
“Puhuhut. Got it, meow! Hey, you! Take good care of our great Chairman Park’s shop, meow!”
“Yes…”
Leaving the newly transformed Sejun Company branch in Ova’s care, Sejun and his group moved on through the private passageway.
Options appeared as Sejun placed his hand on the silver portal.
[You may travel to the following locations:]
“Oh?!”
Sejun’s eyes lit up at a familiar name.
The newly connected world is Dren?!
Dren was one of the five worlds where Tolyong had identified hidden treasures in Tartarus.
Hehehe. Two birds with one stone.
“Let’s go to Dren.”
Sejun happily chose Dren, and the system began calculating the travel cost.
[You are now traveling to <Dren>.]
Sejun and his companions were transported to Dren.
Meanwhile, in the Black Tower’s Administrator’s District
“Lord Ochir, please extend your arm.”
“Go ahead.”
At Aileen’s request, the great red dragon Ochir created a wound on his arm and extended it to her.
Since Aileen couldn’t penetrate Ochir’s defenses to draw blood, the dragon had to injure himself for the process.
Although it was possible to simply hand over dragon blood already collected, the competition among dragons to provide their blood directly had turned into a contest for chocolate pies. Aileen had implemented a rule: only dragons who gave blood directly to her could receive the reward.
“Extracting.”
As Aileen drew blood from Ochir’s wound:
“Puhihihi. Lord Ochir, would you like seaweed soup or a chocolate pie?”
Ace, standing nearby, offered Ochir the options.
“Chocolate pie.”
“Here you go!”
Ace handed him a chocolate pie.
“Thanks.”
This makes 100 pies!
Ochir quickly stashed away the chocolate pie. Over the course of a month, while participating in blood and scale donations, Ochir had managed to collect 100 pies.
His ultimate goal? To make a chocolate pie cake.
Inspired by Sejun’s suggestion to use chocolate pie cakes as a unique item to drive sales, Ochir had dedicated himself to this mission.
Today’s the day I confess to Yuli!
Ochir presented his chocolate pie cake to Yuli and confessed his feelings.
Thank you, Park Sejun!
A new couple was born.
If Sejun had known that chocolate pie cakes were being used as a foolproof confession tool, he never would have shared the idea.
Still, among the dragons, Sejun had gained a reputation as a romance expert.
[You have arrived in <Dren>.]
As soon as Sejun and his companions arrived in Dren:
Boom! Crash! Boom! Crash!
A horde of about 500 ogres was charging toward them.
“Run away!”
“Take cover!”
“Save us!”
The ogres were chasing Dren’s terrified residents.
When Sejun turned around, he saw the fleeing residents and shouted:
“Everyone, let’s go!”
As he removed his gloves, Sejun called out to his companions.
“Puhuhut. Understood, meow!”
“Kweet-kweet-kweet. Yes!”
Queng!
At Sejun’s command, his companions dashed past him, spreading out to the sides.
One ogre charged directly at Sejun.
Roar!
The ogre roared, swinging its massive fist at him.
“Haap!”
Sejun shouted as he countered with his own punch.
Boom!
The collision of Sejun’s fist with the ogre’s sent a shockwave through the air.
Normally, this would’ve been a guaranteed loss for Sejun...
But—
“Hehehe. Does that hurt?”
Not today.
Sejun’s fist, enhanced by the Blessing of the Surge, was unscathed, while the ogre’s right hand below the wrist had completely disappeared.
“Here I come again!”
Sejun swung his fist at the ogre with newfound confidence, but the ogre wasn’t foolish.
Whoosh.
What?!
The ogre dodged Sejun’s punch, having realized his weakness after their first clash.
Thud!
“Argh!”
The ogre retaliated with a left hook to Sejun’s side, a powerful body blow.
Whoosh.
Sejun was sent flying into the air. Thankfully, his dragon scales absorbed most of the damage, leaving him with nothing more than pain and no significant injury.
Crash!
The ogre jumped, quickly rising higher than Sejun. Spinning rapidly, it aimed a devastating heel kick at Sejun’s head.
Heehee! Squeak!
[Heehee! It’s time for the mighty Kamangi to step in!]
Kamangi, having slipped out of Sejun’s arms unnoticed, clung onto the ogre mid-air and delivered a headbutt.
Thud!
The ogre, knocked unconscious, plummeted to the ground.
Thud.
“Phew. I’m alive.”
Thanks, Kamangi.
Sejun landed safely, letting out a sigh of relief, and collected Kamangi’s family, who were still clinging to the ogre.
“Come here.”
Sejun absorbed the energy from the ogre’s body before finishing it off.
[You have slain the Sixth Calamity, the Ogre.]
[You have gained 500 billion experience points.]
[You have acquired 1 bonus stat.]
[Strength has increased by 30.]
[Strength potential has increased by 1%.]
With this, Sejun leveled up to 174.
While Sejun was handling one ogre:
“Puhuhut. Chairman Park, I’ve knocked them all out, meow! Come get the experience points, meow!”
“Kweet-kweet-kweet! Sejun, there are more over here!”
Queng!
His companions had subdued the remaining ogres and called him over.
“Everyone, come here.”
Thunk.
Sejun absorbed the energy from the unconscious ogres one by one, finishing them off and leveling up rapidly to 180.
[A job quest has been triggered.]
Job Quest: Master the skill [Magic Seed Planting].
Reward:
What? Already mastered?
[The skill [Magic Seed Planting (Master)] is already mastered.]
[You have completed the quest.]
[Quest rewards unlocked: Level 181, 500 billion Tower Coins, +1200 to all stats.]
The quest completed instantly.
“Hehehe. A free pass.”
Sejun smirked at the easy completion of the quest. With the ogres’ experience points piling up, he leveled up to 188 in no time.
Meanwhile:
“Puhuhut. Join Sejun Company, and you’ll be under our protection, meow!”
Ghe-he-he. Queng! Queng!
[If you join Sejun Company, you can eat Dad’s cooking! His food is super tasty!]
Theo and Queng were recruiting residents of <Dren> to join Sejun Company.
Heehee! Squeak-squeak!
[Heehee! If you join my butler’s company, you’ll get to play with the mighty Kamangi! Playing with me is super fun!]
Kamangi tried to help recruit but wasn’t very effective.
The offer of safety and delicious meals was too tempting for the residents of <Dren>, who were starving and in constant danger from calamities.
“I’ll join!”
“Me too!”
“Please hire me!”
“Puhuhut. Don’t fight, meow! Everyone will get stamped, meow!”
Stamp. Stamp.
Theo gleefully stamped the eager residents.
Even when Theo accidentally stamped the same person twice:
“What?! I got two stamps!”
“Two? Does that mean you’ll get food for two years?!”
“Wow! Lucky you!”
Residents began lining up again, hoping to be stamped twice.
As around 10,000 residents were stamped, Sejun cooked meals for the newly recruited employees of Sejun Company.
With the ogres defeated, the calamity threatening <Dren> was no more. Sejun learned from the residents that the treasure was located 100 kilometers north, at Mount Butir. After the residents finished their meals, Sejun and his companions set off.
After traveling north for about an hour, they reached a massive mountain.
“Meow?!”
Theo suddenly raised his paw.
“Chairman Park, I feel a pull, meow!”
Theo declared. This time, the hidden treasure seemed to be in an accessible location.
“Take a break, Theo, and act as the referee.”
“Meow?! Got it, meow! Vice Chairman Theo will officiate the hunt, meow!”
Instead of heading straight for the treasure, Sejun decided to make it a treasure-hunting game.
“You have one hour! Start!”
Everyone began searching for treasure.
“This spot seems suspicious.”
Sejun placed his hand on a strange boulder and destroyed it to search for treasure.
“Kweet-kweet-kweet! Power of magic…!”
Iona used her magic to scan for treasure.
Queng!
Queng randomly dug into the ground with wild enthusiasm.
Heehee! Squeak-squeak!
[Heehee! The mighty Kamangi will sniff it out!]
Kamangi sniffed the ground, trying to locate treasure with his nose.
An hour passed, and:
“Puhuhut. Time’s up, meow!”
Theo announced the end of the hunt, but no one had found the treasure.
“Puhuhut. Queng was digging in the wrong spot, meow! It’s here!”
Theo began digging near the middle of where Queng had been and unearthed a massive iron door.
Originally hidden mid-mountain, the iron door had been buried under years of accumulated soil.
Queng…
Queng looked disappointed but accepted his mistake.
“Hehehe. Let’s see what’s inside.”
Clang.
Sejun opened the iron door.
Rumble.
A voice boomed from inside:
“This place is only for the worthy. Those who are unworthy will face death.”
A massive golem, guarding the treasure, emerged and attacked Sejun and his companions.
“Hiya!”
With a single punch, Sejun obliterated the golem.
“Whoa!”
Behind the now-destroyed golem was an enormous pile of treasure.
“Let’s gather it up, everyone!”
Clang.
Sejun opened the subspace warehouse to store the treasures but stopped in shock.
“What?!”
Inside the warehouse...
Kamangi’s family lay sprawled out, sound asleep, surrounded by half-eaten roasted sweet potato strips. Kamangi’s belly was even rounder than before, stuffed to bursting.
They had been sneaking snacks in the warehouse instead of helping with the treasure hunt.
“Hey! Park Kamangi!”
Sejun’s furious shout echoed.
But:
Butler, isn’t the mighty Kamangi cute even when chubby? Hehe. I know you agree.
Kamangi grinned in his sleep, dreaming happily, oblivious to Sejun’s rage.
