99th Floor of the Black Tower.
After finishing lunch—
“Kamangi, let’s go.”
“Chirihi. Squeak! Squeak!”
[Hehe! Alright! The Great Kamangi will accompany the butler!]
Sejun, along with Kamangi and his family, stepped through the dimensional gate to the surface of the Sky-Reaching Bean Planet.
Upon their arrival—
“Kiki!”
“Kyakyakya!”
They were greeted enthusiastically by the Destruction Pioneers and Devourers.
“Wow, you’ve gathered a lot.”
Thunk. Thunk.
Sejun diligently planted the piles of seeds left by the Destruction Pioneers and Devourers.
Meanwhile, Kamangi showed off the ball Sejun had given him.
“Squeak! [Hey everyone, this is the ball my butler gifted to the Great Kamangi!]”
He generously offered to let his followers play with it.
“Squeak! Squeak! [Go ahead, push it up there!]”
Kamangi, however, didn’t do much himself. He left the hard work of rolling the heavy ball uphill to his followers, reserving the fun part of chasing the rolling ball all for himself.
“Chirihi! Squeak! [Here it goes!]”
Roll.
Kamangi gleefully chased after the ball as it sped downhill.
The Destruction Pioneers and Devourers, however, didn’t mind. They found joy in simply being able to play alongside Kamangi. The act of pushing the ball, no matter how slow, was enough for them.
While Kamangi enjoyed himself with his followers, Sejun continued planting seeds tirelessly.
An hour later.
“Ugh, my back…”
Sejun stretched and looked around.
“This really does look like a sky.”
The planet’s blue sky, crafted from Creation Energy, stretched endlessly above him.
“Now that I think about it, this planet doesn’t have a name yet.”
As its creator, Sejun felt a responsibility to name it.
“What should I call it?”
He pondered, rubbing his chin.
Noticing Sejun deep in thought, Kamangi stopped playing and scrutinized him.
“Left eyebrow tilted 0.3 degrees, right eyebrow tilted 0.5 degrees, lips straight... This means…”
“Squeak! [The butler is naming something!]”
Excited to witness Sejun’s “naming performance,” Kamangi rushed to sit right in front of him, gazing up with eager eyes.
After a moment, Sejun declared:
“Kamyeol Daeseong.”
The name combined elements of the planet’s origin: the gases expelled by the Gas-Spitting Tortoise, the destruction energy, and the body of the Apostle of Destruction. It was meant to signify a grand planet filled with potential.
“Chirihi! Squeak! Squeak!”
[Hehe! As expected of the butler! Kamyeol Daeseong! It’s perfect!]
“Sejun-nim, that’s an incredible name!”
“Caw!”
“Clang! Shine!”
Kamangi’s family celebrated enthusiastically.
Suddenly—
[The Talent: Namemaker has been activated.]
[The name Kamyeol Daeseong has imbued the planet with special effects.]
[The durability of Kamyeol Daeseong has increased.]
[Kamyeol Daeseong can now emit 100 billion liters of gas daily for mobility.]
[Kamyeol Daeseong can absorb Destruction Energy to grow in size.]
Although the name itself was questionable, its positive effects turned out to be exceptional.
As Sejun resumed planting seeds, Theo and Queng returned.
“Puhuhut. Chairman Park, I’ve returned, nya!”
“Quhehehe. Queng! [Hehe, Queng’s back too!]”
“Great work, guys.”
With their return, Sejun wrapped up his work and headed back home.
While Sejun No. 12 prepared dinner—
“Puhuhut. Chairman Park, look at this, nya! I made a fortune!”
Theo proudly displayed the money he had earned from Bocel.
“Quhehehe. Queng! Queng! [Hehe, Dad, look at this! It’s a new herb!]”
Queng produced a new herb with a proud expression.
[15-Day-Old Magical Ginger]
“Ginger?”
Sejun looked at the herb curiously. He didn’t recall planting any ginger in the herb garden.
“Quhehehe. Queng! [Hehe, Queng grew it!]”
“That’s fine, but where did you get the seeds?”
“Queng! [Mom gave them to me!]”
“Pink Fur?”
[The tower administrator explains that Pink Fur had hired Elka and Hegel to procure herbs.]
Apparently, Pink Fur had tasked the wolf mercenaries with gathering herbs for her herbalist son. They transported, dug up, or purchased herbs during their missions and delivered them to the 99th floor.
These herbs were then cultivated by Queng. Aileen covered the costs since the herbs mostly ended up in Sejun’s meals.
“Queng, do you have anything else besides ginger?”
“Queng! [There are three more types!]”
“What are they?”
Queng listed the herbs: Aralia Elata, Sophora Root, and Oriental Raisin Tree.
“Let’s skip the Sophora Root.”
Sejun hated its bitterness and didn’t want to risk eating it.
[The tower administrator says bitter medicine is good for the body and encourages you to eat it diligently.]
[The tower administrator says she’s disappointed, wondering if you don’t want to grow stronger to see her sooner.]
“No, of course not! I’ll eat it!”
Sejun quickly reversed his stance under Aileen’s influence.
Curious, Sejun examined the ginger.
[15-Day-Old Magical Ginger]
A magical ginger cultivated for 15 days in the tower, significantly enhanced by a skilled herbalist.
“Not bad at all. Sejun No. 12, make ginger tea with this.”
While instructing Sejun No. 12, Theo spoke up.
“Puhuhut. Chairman Park, aren’t you curious how I earned this money, nya?”
Sejun glanced at Theo, who looked hurt that only Queng had been questioned.
“How’d you get it?”
“Puhuhut. Listen closely, nya! I arrived at the 48th floor of the Blue Tower, and Bocel…”
Theo launched into an animated retelling of how he gave Bocel a shoddily made praise badge in exchange for a hefty sum.
While listening, Sejun inspected the disaster farm.
Clank.
Sejun stored the final evolved disasters and their materials in the subspace warehouse, including about 10,000 White Locusts.
99th Floor of the Black Tower.
As the team finished their tasks for the day—
“Cheep! [Everyone, it’s time to eat!]”
Shari flew in from the kitchen to call everyone for dinner.
“Alright, we’re coming!”
Sejun gathered his companions and headed to the kitchen for their evening meal.
While eating, a message appeared before Sejun:
[The Blessing of Destruction has disappeared.]
The blessing from the God of Destruction, bestowed upon Sejun a week ago, had finally expired.
“Finally gone.”
Sejun sighed with relief as he removed his gloves.
“I kind of understand how you all feel now. Everything breaking just from a touch is a pain…”
He spoke with a hint of smugness, only to receive Theo’s kneading paws in response.
“Chairman Park, your face is rotting, nya!”
Queng and Kamangi also joined in, playfully stomping on Sejun’s face.
“Hey! Kamangi, where have you been playing?!”
Sejun growled, noticing the sticky residue Kamangi left behind. It turned out Kamangi’s paws were covered in sap from the plants on Kamyeol Daeseong, where he had been playing earlier.
Thus, another eventful day came to a close.
“Alright, let’s work hard again today!”
After delivering Queng to Pink Fur’s care, Sejun returned home and lay down with his companions, entering Kamangi’s mental world.
Inside Kamangi’s Mental World
Initially grumbling about the meager quest rewards, Sejun found some motivation knowing that rewards—however small—were better than none.
“Here, this is tasty. Enjoy it and forgive my companions, please.”
“Puhuhut. The Great Hybrid Chairman Park grilled this fish to perfection, nya! Try it!”
“Kyik kyik kyik. These roasted peanuts are great, too!”
“I’ll make sure you have pleasant dreams!”
Sejun, Theo, Iona, and Gilsun the Nightmare worked together to appease the spirits.
“Really sorry.”
“Our bad.”
Kamangi’s family earnestly apologized, eventually earning forgiveness.
Suddenly, a familiar presence appeared—
Guruluk.
The Corruption emerged once more.
Sejun turned to face it immediately, flames igniting on the grotesque form. However, today was different.
“Found… you…”
The voice sent shivers down Sejun’s spine. Goosebumps ran up his arms, and his trembling hands revealed his terror.
“What do you mean, ‘found’?! Get lost!”
Overwhelmed by fear, Sejun focused all his energy on glaring at the Corruption. His bloodshot eyes burned with intensity until the Corruption finally disintegrated.
“Hah… hah…”
Sejun panted heavily, his body tense from the encounter.
“Chairman Park, are you okay, nya?!”
Theo clung to Sejun’s knee in concern.
“Squeak! Squeak! [Don’t worry, butler! The Great Kamangi will protect you!]”
Kamangi stood guard, his tiny frame radiating determination.
Thankfully, the ominous words didn’t signal an immediate attack. With Theo and Kamangi’s support, Sejun managed to calm down and resumed apologizing to the spirits.
Later That Night
The room fell silent, filled only with the sound of gentle snoring.
Kurrr… Grr… Chirorong…
“(Bet-Bet. Sweet dreams, everyone.)”
Bet-Bet woke and began moving around.
Chomp. Chomp. Chomp.
Tasty!
After a quick snack, Bet-Bet noticed—
[Bet-Bet.]
The roots of Podori entered the kitchen, calling for him.
“(Bet-Bet. Podori-nim, what is it?)”
[There’s something you need to do.]
“(Bet-Bet?)”
[It’s a request from Flame-nim.]
“(Bet-Bet?! Flame-nim?!)”
Podori, speaking with urgency, explained the situation. Flame had sent incarnations to guide Podori and Bet-Bet, intending for Sejun to come to <Eraiel>.
[You must do this! Please!]
The plea was so desperate that refusal wasn’t an option.
“(Bet-Bet. So I just need to open a dimensional gate to <Eraiel>?)”
[Yes. But open it and return immediately to bring Sejun-nim with you. It’s dangerous otherwise.]
“(Bet-Bet? Dangerous without Sejun-nim? What does that mean?)”
Although Bet-Bet didn’t fully understand, he decided to follow the instructions.
Tracing Flame’s energy, Bet-Bet began constructing the dimensional gate. Though it took some time due to the presence of many incarnations, he eventually found Flame Incarnation No. 253 hiding in a crevice.
[Bet-Bet, you’re here!]
Flame greeted him, but panic quickly overtook his voice.
[Bet-Bet, go back! Quickly!]
“(Bet-Bet! Yes!)”
Sensing the urgency, Bet-Bet turned to leave through the gate.
However, curiosity got the better of him, and he glanced back.
Crack!
A seemingly insignificant ant suddenly lunged with incredible speed, biting into Flame Incarnation No. 253 and tearing it apart.
As the ant swarmed toward Bet-Bet, it became clear that they weren’t alone. A wave of ants scuttled toward him.
Bet-Bet dashed through the gate, and the ants followed.
“Crunch! Crunch!”
Despite their small size and reduced power on this side of the gate, the ants were formidable. Bet-Bet quickly killed them but understood why Flame had insisted on bringing Sejun.
“Flame-nim’s incarnation was killed by such weaklings?!”
Bet-Bet shuddered, realizing the true danger awaiting them in <Eraiel>.
