Little Shujun was hiding in the guest bedroom, peeking through the door with just her little head showing, curiously watching the unfamiliar guests in the living room.
The man sitting on the couch with her dad looked a bit intimidating, wearing a carefree, devil-may-care smile. He was chatting with her dad about something, laughing loudly every so often. She could clearly sense that her dad was acting differently from usual, making her feel a little strange.
Mom and the unfamiliar "cat" went into the kitchen, talking and laughing while preparing dinner for the evening.
Meanwhile, it felt like she didn’t have much of a presence in the house.
"Your daughter seems to be a bit scared of us?" Zhang Shaoqing glanced toward the guest bedroom.
Shujun quickly withdrew her head, but her tail, twitching restlessly, betrayed her position.
"Just like Ning Chu, always acting tough at home," Wen Yang said with a smirk, seeing the exposed tail. "Having a kid is quite fun, even if it brings a lot of headaches."
