I actually don't think is. As I read it, Julien was the champion of the saintess. Remember gishlain thought they looked alike? And people keep thinking Gishlain powers is like the power the salvation army uses but only better/more evolved. I genuinely think dark may be the soul of their lost king. Even ereneth thought so as well. But perhaps darks personality and soul somehow got spliced, which is why dark has immense power but no memories. It's gonna ve interesting tho, nothing is set in stone
