As expected of the male lead, Meteor’s observational skills were razor-sharp.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, I replied, “…Well, I’m fine for now.”

“That’s impossible. Unless you have divine power, you can’t be unaffected.”

Hearing this, Countess Heylroth’s eyes widened in shock.

At that moment, a faint sound of someone collapsing came from behind us. Turning around, I saw several noblewomen and their children unconscious on the floor.

This was no time to waste.

Meteor seemed to realize this as well and spoke quickly, his voice urgent.

“For now, it’s a relief that you’re unaffected by the miasma. But we must find the door and rescue my mother immediately.”

“There’s no time to lose. Let’s split up and search!” I shouted before he could say more. I already had an idea forming in my head.

“I’ll check that way!” I pointed toward the staircase and immediately ran in that direction.

“Hey, wait!” Meteor called out behind me, but I pretended not to hear.

The miasma was already higher than my head. The thick, shadowy fog made it nearly impossible to see what lay ahead.

It was obvious that everyone else had already succumbed to it.

Only a demon could devise such a cruel challenge—demanding we find a door and solve puzzles while drowning in toxic miasma.

While Meteor focused on finding the door, I had another plan: saving Rearwin.

As I hurried up the staircase, I reached out to the Saints through the system.

‘Saints! Can I use the Teleportation Token in the Demon Realm?’

I still had 19 of the tokens left. I’d originally received 20, but I had used one to travel from my house in Neverland to the orphanage.

If I remembered correctly, the tokens couldn’t transport me from the human world to the Demon Realm, but they could be used for travel within the Demon Realm itself.

‘Yuri Gabriella, the Lily Druid,’ says that it’s possible, but only for yourself.

Perfect!

It was unfortunate that the token could only transport me, but now wasn’t the time to be picky.

I quickly used a token.

‘Take me to where Rearwin is!’

I wasn’t sure if targeting a person as a destination would work, but it was worth a try.

The thought barely crossed my mind before my vision went black.

One ‘Teleportation Token’ has been consumed!
Remaining ‘Teleportation Tokens’: 18.

When my vision cleared, I found myself in a study.

The decor—dominated by black and violet hues—confirmed that I was still inside Aldred’s mansion.

So, it works on people too.

I stepped further into the room. On a sofa draped in purple fabric, I spotted Rearwin. Her long silver hair spilled over the cushions, and she lay motionless.

She wasn’t dead, was she?

No, Aldred had mentioned offering her as a “special gift” to the Demon King for the night. Killing her already wouldn’t make sense. The insult of such a fate was infuriating, but at least it meant she was still alive. I let out a small sigh of relief.

At the far end of the room, Aldred was sitting at a desk, peering into a hand mirror and giggling to herself.

“Hohoho! The miasma has already taken over. There’s no way they’ll find the door. If they do, I’ll eat my horns! Huh? Where did that blonde brat disappear to?”

She squinted into the mirror, trying to locate me.

I decided to save her the trouble and announced my presence.

“I’m right here.”

“!”

Aldred flinched visibly, her shoulders trembling. When she turned to look at me, her violet diamond-shaped pupils widened in shock.

“H-How did you get here?!”

I shrugged nonchalantly. “Would you believe me if I said it was easy?”

“That’s impossible! No one can enter this room except me! Especially not some pathetic human like you—”

“The Marchioness isn’t dead yet, is she?”

“I’m not an idiot. Why would I kill the most beautiful offering so soon? She’s still here. You should be worrying about yourself instead. Why don’t you pass out like a good little human?”

Aldred smirked wickedly, and the miasma around me began to churn. At the same time, both Aldred and Rearwin disappeared.

She ran away again.

I quickly used another Teleportation Token.

‘Take me to where Aldred is!’

The scene changed instantly.

This time, I found myself in a bedroom. Outside the window, red fireworks still lit up the night sky.

As I locked eyes with Aldred, her face twisted with confusion.

“H-How are you here again?!”

She looked completely bewildered. Her dumbfounded expression made me chuckle softly.

Since Rearwin was still unconscious, I didn’t bother holding back my words.

“There’s nowhere in this realm I can’t go. No matter where you run, I’ll follow you to the ends of the Demon Realm.”

“Impossible! Someone like you could never—!”

“Why not? I’m here, aren’t I? Go ahead. Run again.”

“Fine! Follow me if you can!” Aldred scoffed and vanished once more.

I used my third Teleportation Token.

This time, I found myself on the edge of a cliff surrounded by total darkness. I nearly toppled over the edge but managed to steady myself just in time.

A short distance away, Aldred stood on the opposite side of the cliff, holding Rearwin by the hair. She dangled precariously over the abyss, as if threatening to drop her.

When she noticed me, Aldred’s eyes grew impossibly wide.

“You actually came…?!”

“Seems like you were expecting me. What’s the matter, planning to use the Marchioness as leverage now?”

“Who the hell are you?!”

“Me?”

I smiled faintly and used another token, teleporting directly in front of her.

“I’m the daughter of the Demon King you revere so much.”

“!”

Aldred’s face contorted into an expression of pure disbelief and horror.

She staggered back, dropping Rearwin in her panic. I managed to catch Rearwin’s head and shoulders, but my small body wasn’t enough to support her fully.

Thankfully, I could feel the steady rhythm of her pulse. She was alive.

“L-Lies! The Demon King doesn’t have children!”

“And how would you know? The Demon King hasn’t been around for 500 years.”

I gently laid Rearwin on the ground and stepped toward Aldred. She retreated instinctively.

“Would this convince you?”

I reached into my inventory and pulled out a framed portrait—one of my father and me. I held it up so Aldred could see.

I didn’t particularly enjoy revealing my identity to this demon, but I had little choice. If I wanted to ensure everyone’s survival, this was the only way.

Trusting Meteor alone wasn’t enough.

In the portrait, my father and I bore an undeniable resemblance, down to our golden hair. Even though he had become the Demon King, his appearance hadn’t changed much from his human days.

Aldred’s face twisted as she took in the painting.

“…If you don’t want to get tangled up in the Demon King’s family drama, you’d better release all the humans and let us go. If my father finds out you harmed his beloved daughter, you’ll have more trouble than you can handle.”

“Y-You’re lying….”

“Oh, and one more thing—keep this a secret. My father isn’t particularly fond of people knowing he has a human daughter.”

I added the warning for good measure. After all, the last thing I needed was my identity becoming public knowledge. Fear of the Demon King should keep Aldred in check.

“You… damn brat….”

Aldred gritted her teeth, spitting out curses.

Would she believe me? Even if she didn’t, the possibility alone should keep her from acting rashly.

Suddenly, Aldred froze, her head snapping upward as if sensing something.

“…No! The door—! It’s open?!”

“!”

What?

The door was open?

Could it be that Meteor had already found it? How?

“H-How did they find it?! That’s impossible! Agh!” Aldred clutched her head, clearly panicking.

At the same time, the ground beneath us began to shake violently.
