Riding her little electric scooter, Hei Dou finally made her way out of the work driveway.
As the heavy gate swung open, it pressed against the handlebars, sending a gust of wind that carried her scooter through the neighborhood entrance.

Parking at the community bike shed, she locked her scooter, stretched lazily, and flicked her tail. Then, with a light step, she headed toward her sister’s house.
