#2: Inside the Train

Crunch. Crack.

Shatter—!

The train’s floor splintered into hundreds of pieces as the boy burst up through the bottom. After the initial collision, he had flattened himself against the train’s undercarriage before slicing his way inside.

Wiping the blood dripping from his mouth, he frowned. The impact from a 110 km/h steel mass had pierced his mana barrier and rattled his bones. The damage wasn’t trivial.

Catching his breath, the boy began to think.

Why hadn’t his body moved earlier?
