Twokwakwak!
The cacophony of projectiles striking the starlit barrier surrounding me was deafening. Yet, no matter how powerful the assault, not a single projectile could pierce through the invincible status granted by the game system’s Sword Barrier.
This is how PvP works in Astria Online. The strategy is straightforward: force your opponent to exhaust all their invincibility skills through rapid skill chains, and then capitalize on the opening to land a decisive blow.
Every class, except for Fighters, possesses a standing invincibility skill. For the Swordsman, this is Sword Barrier. Fighters, with the latest expansion, have gained access to a new skill called Fist Dance, which grants invincibility, but unlike standing invincibility skills, it requires a target to activate.
In conclusion, everyone caught within the trajectory of my Starlight Slash was without a standing invincibility skill. Starlight Slash activates five times at well-spaced intervals, stripping away all party protection skills along with invincibility skills.
What might have seemed like a thoughtless Starlight Slash had, in fact, multiple purposes. With their apparent leader sliced down in a single strike, the damage it inflicted couldn’t have been ignored either.
Which means, with the next strike, I could wipe them all out at once.
