Sadly, it wasn’t any different for me than it was for Go Yohan. While Go Yohan had the option to take a leave of absence, I had practically wasted an entire semester. To make up for the grades I lost, I couldn’t afford to miss even one class or assignment.
And that’s how meeting Kang Suhyeon turned into hell.
I should’ve known when I saw the results of the midterm presentation. This guy was worse than a freeloading parasite. Especially during the second assignment, where Kang Suhyeon’s theory about first experiences honestly made me feel disgusted just hearing it.
“On the first day, of course, the best choice is a top-class hotel overlooking the city’s night view. A romantic night—at least for dinner, you should have a classy meal at the hotel restaurant, cutting meat and drinking wine. It would be nice if you’d known each other for two years. Two years feels just right for romance.”
Why two years, of all things? Without thinking, I scribbled the word “two years” on the A4 paper with the assignment on it and poked it with my pen. Kang Suhyeon, noticing that I was confused, said confidently,
“Well, one year is too short to really know each other, and three years is too long.”
“What’s wrong with that? There are people who get married a week after meeting.”
