Honestly, I was startled.
I could feel the buzz from the crowd even before opening the door, but I never expected it to be this many.
The sight of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of eyes all focusing on me at once was something so unfamiliar, even to me.
I found myself instinctively responding to the voices shouting my name.
