Chapter 210 Table of contents

Ha Ilwoo realized something was wrong with Lee Mihyun and Ha Dohun the moment he mentioned Giyeon’s name.

“I should’ve died when Giyeon did… I shouldn’t have been so cruel to him… I should’ve held his hand just once…”

“I shouldn’t have gone abroad alone… I should’ve taken him with me…”

“What… what are you two even saying? Giyeon’s alive. Why are you acting like…”

No matter how many times he told them Ha Giyeon was alive, neither Mihyun nor Dohun believed it. Worse, they insisted they were ten years older than they actually were. Had their head injuries caused serious brain damage? After additional testing, the doctors concluded it was memory impairment due to severe trauma.

Their minds, unable to withstand the shock and guilt, had erased the real memories. In their heads, Giyeon hadn’t been murdered by Nam Taekyung—he’d been thrown out of the house and died in an accident. Along with the amnesia came false memory syndrome. Both now lived as a grieving mother and older brother, tortured by the belief that Giyeon was dead.

Even when Giyeon was brought before them, it did no good. Dohun claimed he couldn’t see the boy’s face—it was distorted by “static,” he said. Mihyun insisted the young man was Lee Myungwon’s grandson, Yoon Giyeon, and couldn’t recognize him at all.
