“So that’s how you figured it out…”
“Mhm.”
Hera nodded, but immediately followed up with another question.
“But if you’re married, why don’t you have a ring on your finger?”
Leon looked at his empty left ring finger with a bitter smile. Rosvisser’s was the same—bare. He thought for a moment, then stood there blankly before replying,
“My wife and I… our story’s a little unusual. Explaining it all from the beginning would take a while. If you’d like to hear it, senior, I can slowly... Senior?”
When Leon raised his eyes from his hand and looked at Hera, she had already dozed off with her head resting lightly on the table.
She was messing with me just a second ago, wasn’t she? But it was definitely Hera. She had been messing with him. Leon waved a hand in front of her face.

Ok so seeing Jeremiah's comment I had to respond especially since the story does adequately show the progression of Leon and Rosvisser's relationship. Vol 1 to 2 it was a gradual pace with bickering and some moments when the 2 gain moments of respect for one another and for Vol 1 capping off with Leon's defeat of Constantine and protection of the Silver Dragon Tribe during Rosvisser's time of labor during her pregnancy of Aurora. Then during the events of Vol 2, where Leon supposedly died to Stahl's despairation move and was sent ~20 years to the future, where Rosvisser was placed in a crystal by her grandmother and Leon was told by his daughters that Rosvisser went spiraling down after he "died" and drank to excess and after being drunk didn't work she prioritized her work because it was to keep her mind off of losing Leon. Then the 2nd attack against the Silver Dragon Clan happened and Rosvisser exhausted herself to the brink, defeating 5 Dragon Kings just to protect her daughters (you know the ones she had with Leon). You also have Leon recognizing during his stint in the future that he loves Rosvisser and even had a moment of weakness in front of her crystal wondering if everything was going to work out. Then you had the moments in Vol 4 or 5 where he had to help out the Lionheart Order and Leon and Rosvisser were missing each other and writing letters whenever they can. Heck, just look at Muse, she was the first kid they had that they actually planned on having. Also, they have been acting like a married couple anyways, so it just probably never got recognized, especially with how often the world was danger time and time again.
These two will never get married, because they don't truly love each other. It's relationship built on ruin and regret, so of course they will never marry and there is no real love. This series is a waste of time and energy. The author needs to stop dangling the carrot, because it's not going to happen.
Relationships are complex, when Leon says he never confessed to her what he means is he never have a traditional proposal to her and he feels like he would like to do so but is not sure how. They do clearly love each other - there is no carrot being held in front of us. These characters are messy and do not always act logically which makes them way more interesting.
Considering they’ve both confessed already I think you’ve really missed the mark. Also it was like. A whole character arc for Leon when he went to the future.
okay, and when was this? And he said it himself in volume 6, he never did confess.
So, according to your logic, if they don't love each other, why did Leon get depressed when he was trapped in the special magic circle? Rosvisser missed him because when he confronted Odin, he got tense. I mean, if they don't love each other, they shouldn't talk to each other, just act and maybe get along. When Rosvisser traveled to the past and a younger lion declared his love to her, she didn't reject him, she told him he was too young. When he said that, Rosvisser thought she wanted to have a life with the current lion, not another lion.
Their marriage is built on trauma and guilt. Why would they ever marry legally? They still hate each other and their kids are used to that.
