This quiet and taciturn older brother hardly ever started conversations actively with others or asserted his opinions first. Even when others spoke to him, he usually replied simply with only the necessary words.
Yet he knew a great deal, and what he knew was not just dictionary knowledge. His judgment, understanding, and rational reasoning in any situation were exceptional in every field.
Jeong Tae-ui also often came to him when he had something serious to think through, unloading his thoughts. Then Jeong Jae-ui would listen and fill in the missing parts, cut out or correct the excessive parts, guiding him toward the conclusion he needed.
Whether it was a fight with a friend, an unsolvable task, or an important choice in life, the conclusions reached after talking with Jeong Jae-ui had never once disappointed Tae-ui.
Later, Tae-ui once joked with a smile that if his brother ever lost his livelihood—even if everyone else starved from having no work—he surely wouldn’t, and could just become a counselor.
