“If I leave now, when will I get there… I need to know where that bastard is so I can set the destination and calculate the time.”
Jeong Tae-ui muttered as he took a gulp of beer.
But.
He was going back.
Jeong Tae-ui was sitting here, preparing to return to Ilay Riegrow.
A strange, bittersweet feeling settled in — a feeling of futility, and strangely familiar, like something newly revealed. He’d felt uneasy ever since his mind started showing signs of splitting. Maybe his uncle was right: it might have been wiser to try running away forever as Shin Lu suggested.
Yet, even so, despite that advice, his heart was set in one direction.
“I have to pick up what that bastard lost… I’ve already given up on picking up his humanity, but if only he’d drop some of that inhumanity.”
Tae-ui sighed.
Then a practical thought struck him.
Go to the airport, travel to the country where that bastard is hiding — surely a terrorist wouldn’t be strutting around openly — find his hideout, and face him.
He imagined it, and it was easy to picture.
That moment would definitely send chills down his spine. There was no way he wouldn’t be scared standing before that monster. Besides, the bastard would surely be furious.
“Best to explain myself as quickly as possible while taking the hits, try to avoid getting hit more than necessary.”
Even though imagining being beaten made him a bit sad, Tae-ui shook his head. He didn’t think he wouldn’t go back. Those voices and unfamiliar expressions were still stuck in his mind.
