I recommend Kill the Sun. Its not Shadow Slave level, but its definitely up there. Its also terribly hard on your mental, the things that happen in that novel are fucked up and unpredictable, but still amazing
Try reading The name of the wind. It's a trilogy (with every book written in two parts), but unfortunately the author is a perfectionist and will never release the 3rd book.
You'll never find something similar to Shadow Slave that is as good. It's peak and unique for a reason afterall but you can find other novels that are just as great or better like ORV, TBATE, Lord of Mysteries, Revered Insanity. They are literally the best webnovels of all time. My Big 3, personally, is ORV, Shadow Slave and Lord of Mysteries. I did not read Revered Insanity yet, and TBATE is super cool but the core the story is a tad too much heroic for my taste, it lacks nuances and an overall story that makes it really unique.
Is this the crazy thing that Aiko did? Babysit Ling Ling?
So casually able to travel between citadels like it's nothing
Even after searching for weeks I'm not able to find anything as good as shadow slave

Its recommended by this author, its called 'supreme magus'
