Nephis' plan is what Weaver wants- to beat the 7th nightmare and vanquish the forgotten God, after which the NS serves no purpose- it might undo itself afterwards. Sunny is the one going against Weaver's desires by advocating for them to stop ascending after they become Divine. Idealogically, Nephis' take is much stronger here--by destroying the forgotten God, they remove a sword of damocles hanging over humanity's head, and can end the slaughter that the nightmare spell is founded on. Obviously Sunny's position is more prudent, and I think they should wait to challenge the 7th at least until there are other sovereigns who can take their place if they fail.
Also was weaver n shadow god working together since they both weren't apart of the doom war, sunny weaver lineage n shadow aspect, also I belive shadow god was fine with dying since death is solace.

Since nightmares make a being 1 step above, the 7th nightmare should turn sunny and nephis in to something above the gods. It makes sense for nephis to become the flame and sunny to become the void. But that means sunphis might have to end 😢
the gods are not divine titans, they are above the rank system altogether. the daemons were divine beings, and indeed had similar power to that of the gods, but they could not defeat the gods alone.

I don't dislike how nephis is thinking. Think of it as school, u teach kids, little forceful at times but the results are great aswell. some kids curse at the teacher but without the teacher they would have to study at home with no guidance and no easy way in things which makes things 100x more hard, yes some bright kids appear but normal kids also don't appear at all, while in school even normal kids are in spotlight. U get what I am trying to say? I think what weaver did was for the best at that time, cause gods wouldn't have let any bright star to appear while also ruling the world with half heart, so weaver couldn't have done smth while they were alive and daemons and gods can't stay along aswell, getting rid of both while taking care of things which will happen while they die and also making future strong, yes I agree ruthless but from extinct and small number of strong people is good.
I think the theories in this comment are on point, there's no way Sunny and Nephis go without a conflict again, and it's very likely the Nightmare is just holding everything together, including the dream realms, so Nephis might just causing the doom of the world for her own selfish ambition.

Indeed, in his last moments, when Weaver became the spell or something like that, he weaved the strings of the spell over the soul cores of all daemons and gods, to sustain them even after death making it possible that the divine really did not collapse. To alleviate the burden, the spell made all divine realm merge with the dream realm to make it easier to keep trapped the dream God burdened by existence. So we can’t be so sure
