Cha Uijae walked hand in hand with Sa-young as he relayed what he had heard from Hong Yeseong. This place was a sort of forward base, made of piled-up wreckage swallowed by the Big Mouth, and the true source of the apocalypse lay elsewhere. Hong Yeseong had gone missing in reality but was found here. His leg and eyes seemed injured, though Uijae hadn’t heard the details.

Listening intently, Sa-young shrugged his shoulders.

“Well… not surprising. That bastard’s got nine lives.”

Uijae nodded. It was true. The man was hard to kill. Hong Yeseong’s tent came into view at the edge of their sight. Uijae slipped his black mask back on. Hong Yeseong had already spotted them and was waving them over with a broad grin.

“What took you so long~! I thought you weren’t coming out.”

“We got caught up talking.”

Sa-young, arms crossed, examined the tent from top to bottom. His eyes narrowed.
