Thanks to Jeong Bin’s consideration, the visitation was held not in the visiting room divided by a wall, but in an Awakener Management Bureau interrogation room where they could sit facing each other. Of course, it came with the condition that Jeong Bin would monitor everything through cameras from the control room—but this was no time to be picky. Honeybee sat in the interrogation chair, waiting anxiously for the door to open.
Before long, the door creaked open with a skin-crawling sound. The first to enter was Jeong Bin. He inclined his head with a gentle smile.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
“It’s fine. I didn’t wait that long.”
Honeybee replied curtly. Jeong Bin stepped aside from the doorway. A bear-like man in a gray prison uniform followed him in. A man larger than the door itself. His arms were bound by Jeong Bin’s black chains—it was Matthew. He looked slightly thinner than the last time she had seen him.
After guiding Matthew to the chair, Jeong Bin returned to the doorway. With a mild expression, he clasped his hands behind his back.
“Then please talk at ease. Ah—at the moment, because of the chains, Matthew has reverted to an ordinary human body, so… please mind your strength, Honeybee.”
