According to the Basic Annals of the Five Emperors in the Records of the Grand Historian, Qiongqi is the son of Shaohao Jintian.

It is impossible to know exactly when Qiongqi or his father first appeared, but by tracing history and myth it is possible to calculate it backward.

The first sovereign, Taihao Fuxi, one of the Three Sovereigns, appeared about 4,800 years ago.

After him came the second ruler Yan Emperor Shennong, then the third ruler Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan, and then the fourth ruler Shaohao Jintian, who ascended the throne. It can be estimated that about three hundred years passed during that span.

In other words, Qiongqi has lived for about 4,500 years.

‘Shaohao Jintian, who was also called the King of Birds, was a sage king who laid the foundations of civilization. But his son Qiongqi turned out like this.’
