Claudia had been suspicious of Um’s true identity for quite some time. She just hadn’t taken it too seriously before.

But today, with Leon and Rosvisser—two people who were usually full of tricks—both present, she decided to coordinate with them and stage a little “baited test.”

As expected, it yielded results.

Um could understand human speech—and even deliberately play dumb.

That was no longer just “smart.” It had reached the level of being too smart for its own good.

And yet, Um simply stared back at Claudia with its wide eyes, completely unresponsive.
