Its basically confirmed that this 'modern day' is klein's dream he is having after he fell into a deep sleep. That sadness.. Old Neil.. Captain Dunn... Madam Daly.. this dream is a mixture of his experiences. (My favourite is Amon's bro literally pulled up in a bike and then went to go steal a car and then came back with it to pick klein up. And when Amon said he was old friends with Sherlock Moriarity, it meant he knew klein. But since klein is under 'Zhou Mingrui' Amon doesnt recognise him. Truly worthy of error, lol.)
