I Got Fired As an Adventurer, So I’m Starting Ane…
Chapter 57 Table of contents

The story goes back a bit.

At the temporary school, five people, me, Kyle, Myna, Persia, and the maid Ryuko, have come to visit.

This is to meet the people who will become teachers.

In order to establish a school in Golden Dawn, I was introduced to some teachers by the messenger of the lord of the manor, Ortolos Gandhar von Beilroad.

One of the people who will be in charge of the school is the aristocrat Obrio Lernen.

"First time I meet you, I'm Obrio Lernen, the third son of Baron Lernen, and I'm twenty-eight years old. I have come here as a teacher because of the special care of the Marquis of Bail Road."

"Yes, thank you."

Kyle responds to Obrio's cheerful attitude with a smile.

"Obrio Mr./Ms. will have a school building completed...... I'm going to change the name of the school, but I would like you to serve as both the head of the school and a teacher of the high school."

"Kyle, may I ask you a question?"

"Yes, please."

"School...... What is a school in the first place? I knew I had been called to be Kyle's teacher."

Obrio's question is legitimate. In the first place, the school system itself is still in the process of being explored.

"Now, let me explain the basic structure of the school."

"Thank you."

Kyle happily began to talk about the school.

"First of all, children who live in Golden Dawn are obliged to attend school for 10 years from the age of six until they turn sixteen."

"What? Does that mean that commoners are also included?"

"Absolutely."

Obrio rolled his eyes and exclaimed.

That's right, I've never heard of commoners being educated.

I grew up in an orphanage, so it was compulsory for me to read the scriptures of the church. Thanks to this, I was able to learn to read, write, and calculate at a minimum.

It wasn't until I became an adventurer after I turned 16 that I realized how important it was to be able to read, write, and calculate.

That's why I'm very much in favor of Kyle's idea of a school.

"In the morning, I teach a good balance of study and self-defense, and after lunch, we disband."

"Is it lunch?"

"Yes, we distribute meals so that we don't burden parents as much as possible."

Obrio exclaimed again.

In addition, when I heard that Kyle was giving money once a month to parents who were sending their children to school properly, I couldn't close my open mouth.

"Right now, we only have the morning session, but when we have a proper school instead of a temporary one, we will open an afternoon session with a high school class, a short-term reading and writing course, and a short-term arithmetic course."

"What are those three?"

"Yes, first of all, there are short-term reading and writing courses and arithmetic courses, which anyone can take. Three months is a cycle, and classes are taught so that students can read and write at a minimum. Of course, the calculation course aims to be able to add and subtract at a minimum in three months."

"Anyone...... Is it?"

"Yes, we are targeting those who are already working, so we think that the limit is three months. If you don't learn enough, you can start again."

"No, I don't mean that, I mean anybody, that's ......."

"Oh, I'm sorry, this is going to be open to everyone. Merchants, adventurers, residents, anyone."

"Even if you're an adventurer!?"

"Yes...... Was there something weird?"

"Oh, I see, but can you pay for a course for an adventurer?"

"What? Is it a tuition fee? It's all free, right?"

"Huh!? Well, is it free!? I still understand because the morning session seems to be obligatory, but are you going to give free education to commoners and homeless!?"

Homeless refers to people who do not have citizenship, such as adventurers and peddlers.

"Yes, that's what this school is for."

The aristocracy had completely disappeared from Obrio's expression, and he had a goofy look on his face.

"It's higher education, but it's a special course that has an exam once a year and only those who pass it can take Mr./Ms..

Of course, this is for nobles or wealthy merchants, isn't it?"

"No, anyone who can pass the exam, I will give an award to those who pass the graduation exam and send them a certificate of graduation. If possible, I'd like to have alumni join my entourage and key positions in Golden Dawn."

"Well, isn't that a commoner going to be Kyle's entourage?"

"That's going to happen."

"Oh! I don't think that's very suitable for Kyle, the son of the Marquis!"

"He's not exactly an aide, but he's Brother Kraft, who was born in an orphanage and is a former member of the Adventurer's Production Guild...... I trust Mr./Ms. a lot, don't you?"

「...... Huh!?"

Obrio gave me a glaring look.

"You were Kraft, weren't you?"

"Yes, it is."

Since the other party is a nobleman, use a minimum of honorifics.

I practiced the phrases I carried with me, but Persia and Alphard threw spoons at me. Since he is a commoner, he seems to be okay as long as he can use the minimum honorific language.

"Wow...... Let's test him for a moment to see if he's a good fit to be Kyle's entourage. This is a paper I recently submitted to a conference, do you understand it?"

Obrio snapped his fingers, and his squire held out a bundle of papers to me.

When I flipped through the material, it seemed to be a thesis on history, but I couldn't understand half of it. At the very least, I think I understood a little more about magic.

"Fufufu...... After all, if you were born a lowly person who was not a nobleman, you would not be able to understand the history of this great Earl of Bailroad."

Obrio proudly proudly with a triumphant expression.

Ryuko, who was standing next to me, took a step forward.

"Excuse me while I was talking, Mr. Obrio, this is the wrong year."

"What!?"

Obrio hurriedly checks the year that Ryuko pointed to.

"I believe that the chronological order of this incident and this incident are reversed, and the name of the former Earl of Bale Road's entourage is also wrong."

"What......!?"

"This is the material I am referring to, but it seems that it has already been rejected by the academic society.......

"Oh, wait, wait, wait!"

Obrio snatched the material from my hand and went through the parts that Ryuko pointed out to him, one by one, turning blue.

"This is it...... That's certainly ......."

It wasn't a good thing that he was embarrassed in front of Kyle.

"Ryuko, you knew a lot."

"I'm a maid."

Well, the maid is a know-it-all.

"Master, I think Obrio-sama is a little lacking in knowledge to teach the higher classes."

"I don't know......

"If you don't mind, I'll teach you by the time the higher classes start."

"What? Can you do it?"

"Yes, in a short period of time, if the master will give you the order."

"Hmm......"

I turn to Kyle.

"Master Kyle, my maid has said this, can you give me permission?"

"Well, from the appearance of the Obrio Mr./Ms., it is clear that Ryuko's Mr./Ms. is superior, so if Ryuko's Mr./Ms. and craft Mr./Ms. are good, please do so."

"Yes, I understand. Ryuko, please."

"Yes."

For a moment, Ryuko's smug smile sent chills through her, but it was probably because of her mind.

"Then, let's all do our best for the opening of the school, Mr./Ms.!"

In this way, it was decided that the educational institution would evolve from a morning school to a school.

After a while, they met again with the academy officials, but for some reason, Obrio, who had received Ryuko's short-term education, had gone blank.

Strange, isn't it?
