I, the Goblin Emperor, Rule the World - EP.31

Master had prepared such a delicious meal for them.

Even if they were going to test for poison, they should have done it sneakily like her.

It’s too ugly.

“So, everyone, rest early.”

After dinner, the night outside had already turned dark.

Back in their respective rooms, the three exchanged glances, deciding to wait until midnight to take action.

Time slowly passed with the shifting of hearts.

As night fell, the goblin cave also fell into an eerie silence.

The dark underground passages were filled with a sinister atmosphere.

It was like being in a terrifying world, sending shivers down one’s spine.

Soon, all three simultaneously opened their eyes. The three brave adventurers were determined to uncover the truth behind the elf and this eerie goblin cave.

“Let’s go!”

They stealthily got up, approached the door of the room, and were about to step out.

The next moment, the three withdrew their feet that were about to step out of the room, swiftly closed the door, sweat beading on their foreheads.

At this moment, there was a very faint sound from outside.

In the goblin cave, a girl who had removed her protective gear quietly walked out of her room, holding a small magic glowing stone. She gently knocked on the tightly closed, obscure door of another room deeper inside.

The owner of the room slowly opened the door, smiling, and welcomed the girl in.

The door closed slowly once again.

Chapter 49: Great, There’s a Woman Inside

The three held their breaths, waiting for the sound to fade away.

“What was that noise just now outside?”

“I don’t know, maybe there are goblins patrolling outside, preventing us from getting closer to the depths of the cave.”

“Let’s go out and take a look.”

After waiting for a while, the three cautiously poked their heads out of the room’s door. After confirming that there were no patrolling goblins outside, they quietly stepped out of the room.

As they passed Tarian’s room, their footsteps instinctively slowed down, afraid of disturbing Tarian who might be resting inside.

If Tarian noticed their actions, she would definitely stop them.

Fortunately, there was no sound coming from Tarian’s room when they passed by, indicating that she was either asleep or thought they were also patrolling goblins and paid no attention to them.

The three continued forward, and soon they arrived outside the room of the master of the goblin cave, Mr. Elf.

The three held their breaths, carefully and slowly moving deeper into the goblin cave from outside the room. As they were about to pass by the room’s door, they faintly heard a woman’s voice trying hard to keep quiet from inside the room.

The three were stunned for a moment, then delighted.

Wow, turns out this guy already has a woman, and he’s hiding her secretly. Now this guy won’t even have a chance to be their romantic rival.

Although having multiple wives wasn’t uncommon, Tarian had high standards for her other half. Otherwise, how could they have not been able to pursue Tarian until now?

How could this guy, who was engaging in such activities, possibly have such keen perception to discover them and come out to catch them?

Using the Assassin’s secret language, Kita transmitted:

“Let’s go. While he’s infatuated with women, let’s go find the hidden secrets of this goblin cave. Later, we’ll let Tarian catch him in the act and let her see his true colors.”

Kita and Kuruk both smiled and made a gesture of agreement. The three of them trod lightly in the underground passages of the goblin cave, making subtle noises as they hastened their pace, approaching the depths of the cave.

When they reached the lower levels of the goblin cave, the assassin Kita took the lead to pave the way.

Kita moved forward with absolute ease, treading slowly on the ground of the passage.

The other two followed closely behind, entering the deeper parts of the goblin cave.

Before long, just like when they first entered the goblin cave, the surroundings suddenly opened up again, revealing larger underground passages and many underground rooms.

This goblin cave was exceptionally vast, and the excavation techniques used were highly advanced.

Goblins naturally possessed the ability to dig, and excavating underground caves was a common means for them to avoid danger.

“Indeed, there’s a problem. The layout here can’t be just simple storage rooms like the grocery storeroom. This elf must have some undisclosed secrets!”

Oh dear, the three adventurers delved deep into the mysterious goblin cave, but it seemed they forgot that everyone has secrets that shouldn’t be known to others. Such actions were tantamount to angering the owner here.

The three continued forward, observing the surrounding rooms one by one.

There was a kitchen, storage room, and grocery storeroom here, and at the same time, there were also many underground rooms belonging to the goblins.

The number of goblins in this goblin cave far exceeded their previous estimates!

The three paid no heed and continued to explore until they saw several advanced goblin individuals sleeping in a room. Their faces changed visibly.

“One, two, three, four, five.”

Four large-sized white goblins and five thin purple demon goblins.

The three were shocked. These nine advanced goblins already had the combat power to fight against them, and with the numerous green-skinned goblins in groups, their situation looked grim.

They were very fortunate to have discovered all this, as it would allow them to formulate better strategies.

“With so many advanced goblins, there’s likely human females captured here, bred with these disgusting goblins by that vile elf.

Let’s go, continue forward to investigate. It’s best to uncover the truth here and then inform the guild to gather more people to exterminate the goblins here.”

Kita’s face showed a disgusted expression.

“These ugly and disgusting creatures like goblins don’t deserve to exist in this world.”

The three slowly continued their exploration, gradually hearing some commotion. In the depths of the goblin cave, it seemed like something was emitting low growls.

The three exchanged glances, nodded, and continued deeper into the cave. The closer they got, the clearer the sound became.

Until they were close, the mysterious goblin cave could no longer conceal this terrifying sound.

Looking from outside the cell door, the three saw three wild wolves, with ferocious claws and teeth, madly struggling and roaring inside the cage.

The three were shocked and dismayed. These three wild wolves were all intermediate-level ferocious beasts, with one even approaching the category of high-level ferocious beasts.

Why were three dangerous ferocious beasts still being kept here?

Their faces grew even graver. However, what was even more terrifying was that at the end of this passage, there appeared to be another entrance, deeper than before.

That entrance was pitch black and sinister, like the gaping maw of a demon, akin to an abyss, compelling them to look into it.

Yet, it also made them hesitate to take another step forward.

With so many advanced goblin individuals appearing here and the terrifying wolves still imprisoned, all these complexities forced them to halt their steps.

Kita transmitted in the secret language: “Go back and wake up Tarian. We must be prepared to leave here at any moment. It’s too dangerous here, that guy definitely has ill intentions!”

The three looked at the deeper entrance, slowly backing out, maintaining the speed they came in with. They passed by the rooms where the goblins were dozing until they finally returned to the entrance of the second level’s passage, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

The atmosphere in this gloomy goblin cave was extremely oppressive, filled with terror and strangeness. They had to take Tarian and leave this place.

While there were overlords outside, staying here was equally dangerous. The elf’s target was likely Tarian.

The three quickened their pace. This time, as they passed by Mr. Elf’s room, they sped up slightly.

They went straight to Tarian’s room in front of the passage and gently knocked on the door.

Before that guy realized it, they needed to let Tarian see everything clearly and make her aware of the current situation.

The three knocked on the door and waited, but after a while, there was still no response from inside the room.

The three’s heartbeats involuntarily sped up, and a sense of unease filled their hearts.

They hurriedly knocked on the door again, but this time, with greater force, the sound louder, even seeming to reach the room at the end of the passage.

However, the response they received was still silence.

Chapter 50: The Girl Trapped in the Goblin Cave

The ominous feeling in the hearts of the three became more intense. The sense of unease grew heavier.

Kuruk immediately chose to break down the door, pushing aside the others and using his own body to forcefully push open the not-so-solid door.

“Tarian! What happened to you!”

The three burst into the room, their anxious shouts echoing out, but there was nothing to be seen.

The room was empty, devoid of any figures.

The three’s faces changed drastically. Recalling the commotion outside the passage when they left and the sounds they heard passing by the elf’s room, their faces suddenly turned extremely pale.

Sensing that something bad had happened, the three, unable to believe it, rushed to the door outside Mr. Elf’s room. This time, they didn’t even bother to knock on the door. The three simultaneously slammed into the door, breaking it down and rushing in.

As the fragile door flew open, the three barged into Mr. Elf’s room and witnessed a scene that would haunt them for the rest of their lives.

The girl they had been thinking of incessantly, the one they couldn’t bear to touch, had been thoroughly defiled by someone else.

“Ahhhhh!!!”

“No! Tarian!!!”

Angry roars echoed in the room.

The refined Mr. Elf stood by the bed where the girl lay asleep, calmly dressing himself. He glanced at the furious intruders outside the door, his eyes widening as he saw their gradually contorted expressions while they looked at the girl sleeping soundly under the covers.

Chen Le finished dressing and stepped in front of the three, gently raising his head and spreading his hands, blocking their view of the woman, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

“Is there something wrong, gentlemen?”

“You bastard! What did you do to her!”

Kita yelled hysterically, but it didn’t wake the sleeping girl on the bed. She seemed too exhausted, as if the movements on the bed were more tiring than a day of intense battle, and she had fallen into a deep sleep on Mr. Elf’s bed, not waking up until she had replenished her strength.

“What did I do? Didn’t you see it for yourselves?”

Chen Le smiled amiably, the golden pupils in his eyes emitting a strange magical glow.

“Are you perhaps interested in the detailed process of my encounter with Miss Tarian tonight? From entering the room, undressing, getting into bed, to now? This is the personal privacy of Miss Tarian and me.”

“How could this be! How could this be! What kind of magic did you use to control her, you devil!”

The three were seething with anger, flames of fury burning in their chests.

“Magic control?”

Chen Le shook his head with a smile, the eerie glow in his magical eyes deepening.

“Unfortunately, I only accelerated the rate at which she developed affection for me. With a trivial desire, I sketched out the grand fantasies in her heart.

Men in this world stop at nothing for power and authority. What about women?”

With that, Chen Le spread his hands open.

“I didn’t force her to do anything. She willingly came to my room.”

“I’ll kill you!”

The three’s minds instantly collapsed, and they lunged at Chen Le, seeming to want to tear him apart alive.

But they seemed to have forgotten who the true master of this fearful goblin cave was.

A warrior, a bare-handed archer, an assassin—losing their senses, they abandoned most of their weapons and charged.

Chen Le raised his hand and caught the punches and short blade swung at him, ignoring the archer’s attacks.

The archer was quite strong, but without weapons, his fists barely left a red mark on Chen Le’s face.

In the next moment, the three were simultaneously kicked away. One crashed into the wall, one flew out of the door, and the other was lifted up by the throat, slowly raised into the air.

Although Chen Le wasn’t particularly strong, he was not someone anyone could bully.

The two on the ground struggled to get up, fumbling for their weapons, but they had come out in a hurry and hadn’t brought enough weapons and armor.

Yet, before the remaining two could continue their attack, footsteps crowded both sides of the passage outside.

The goblins showed their grinning faces as they slowly approached.

It turned out that all the peace here was just an illusion, a performance by the ugly goblins to lull their prey into a false sense of security.
