Chapter 322: Breaking Free From Imprisonment, Uranus
While the Kryptonians had been wiped out by Ling Jiu, and the entire world was in a carnival atmosphere, the remaining gods were paralyzed with terror.
The most powerful gods had been wiped out, and the rest were just small fry. Ling Jiu would definitely go after them. What should they do?
Meanwhile, in a palace in the center of Mount Olympus, several gods were quaking in their boots.
Had Zeus and other Greek gods been still there, they would definitely have recognized them as only some weak and marginalized gods of the Greek deities.
For example, the goddess of the sea Thalassa, the Dryads, the god of sleep Hypnos, and the pure water goddess Doris.
At this moment, these weaker gods were extremely frightened. Because of their menial status, they could not take part in today’s meeting of the pantheons. They could only stay in the mountainside to guard the wormhole, so they escaped the holocaust. But they knew what happened in the outside world.
“What should we do now, everyone? That brutal human will definitely find us here. He will kill us all. What should we do?”
While a few gods panicked, the goddess of pure water spoke.
“Since things have come to such a pass, we could do nothing and have nowhere to go save for two alternatives.”
“Which two alternatives?”
The other gods looked at the goddess of pure water with hopefulness in their eyes.
“We either destroy the wormhole and cut off the passage between the planet Olympus and Earth, or return to planet Olympus and free the imprisoned Primordial gods.” The pure water goddess said slowly.
“Free the Primordial gods?”
“No, no! We absolutely can’t do this!”
“The Primordial gods will kill us!”
Follow current on novellight.netThe faces of several gods changed drastically at hearing the second alternative, their heads shaking like a rattle drum.
It was because they knew who the Primordial gods were, they vehemently disagreed with the idea of freeing the Primordial gods.
Because it was no different from suicide.
The pure water goddess nodded in acknowledgement. She understood their concerns. After all, the Greek pantheon had experienced three generational transitions.
The current gods were the third generation, with Zeus as the king of the gods.
Before this, there were two generations in the Greek pantheon, namely the second generation of the Titans, and the first generation of the Primordial gods!
The Titans were killed, banished, or exiled. Except for Cronus, who had been imprisoned, the other Titans could no longer make a comeback.
But the Primordial gods were too powerful to be killed. So they could only be permanently imprisoned on planet Olympus.
The pure water goddess believed that if they freed the Primordial gods, they would have hope in defeating Ling Jiu, the human, and restore the dignity and glory of the Greek pantheon.
But no one dared to do this.
The reason was, the Primordial gods were overly powerful. No one was sure what would happen after the Primordial gods were freed.
“We had better go with the first alternative.” The god of sleep shook his head. “Destroy the wormhole to cut off the passage between Olympus and Earth. By then, human can’t go to Olympus, and we will be safe.”
“Agree!”
“Me, too!”
Several gods nodded in agreement. They had a consensus. And so they got into the wormhole and came to Olympus at once.
Just when they were about to destroy the wormhole, the ground under their feet shook.
The tremor followed by the appearance of a powerful aura in the air, repressing the mind of the god of sleep and others.
“This aura is...”
Follow current on novellight.netThe god of sleep and others exchanged a glance with each other, their faces changing. They rose into the sky to look for the source of the repressive energy.
They then saw a towering figure rising tens of thousands of meters in the blue sky.
This figure was majestic. His muscles were as solid as rocks, his blood vessels flowing like rivers, his hair as thick as a forest, and his eyes sparkling like lakes.
He was massive. Even the sunlight was blocked off when he stood in the sky.
A powerful repressive aura radiated from this majestic giant, wantonly repressing the earth, the soul of every living being.
“U—Uranus!”
“This is the aura of Uranus!”
The face of the god of sleep changed drastically.
They might be the most menial gods of the Greek pantheon, but they certainly knew Uranus, the famous Primordial god.
“How is it possible? How did Uranus come out? Isn’t he permanently imprisoned? How did he come out?”
“I think the death of Zeus and other gods in battle has weakened the seal. That is why Uranus can escape.”
“That’s it! It must be so!”
“It doesn’t matter how Uranus broke free. I am most concerned with what we should do.”
“What can we do? Run! Uranus will definitely kill us. He hates us all.”
“Absolutely right! Run!”
Just as the god of sleep and other gods were about to flee, Uranus in the sky spotted them and grabbed them with his hand that was more massive than a mountain.
“No—”
The god of sleep and his mates screamed in horror, but it was useless. Uranus’s hand was not fast, but he could easily grab them in his hand.
Follow current on novellight.netHe then threw them in his mouth and chewed.
...
No one else knew what happened on Olympus. Meanwhile, Ling Jiu was not sitting idly.
After slaughtering the 66 Kryptonians, he flew straight towards America.
He knew exactly how many Kryptonians there were on Earth, as they were under Leoux’s monitoring. He wanted to capture all the remaining Kryptonians.
It just took Ling Jiu one teleportation, and he had come to America.
The funny thing was, the Kryptonian had apparently seen him coming and were flying towards Antarctica.
Their intentions could not have been more apparent; they planned to return to Mars before Ling Jiu could find them and destroy the wormhole.
But things do not always go according to plan, as reality is cruel. Before they could fly out of America, Ling Jiu intercepted them.
“Where are you all going, eh?”
Ling Jiu looked at these over a thousand Kryptonians with a smile, as if he had found his precious babes.
“You—you—you are that human!”
The face of the leading Kryptonian sank, his voice trembling. “How did you arrive so fast?”
“Let’s cut the crap. You now have one chance: surrender and become my obedient slaves. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Ling Jiu waved his hand impatiently.
“Human, don’t go too far! We Kryptonians would rather die a martyr than become your slaves!”
“Leoux, grab them!” Ling Jiu did not give a damn and asked Leoux to capture them all. “Brainwash them as soon as possible. I will have to go to the asteroid belt to expand the Inner World of the Saiyan Golden Ape avatar in two days.”
“You got it.” Leoux nodded in acknowledgement.
“Let’s clean up the lair of the major deities, capture those who have more potential and brainwash them,” Ling Jiu said. “The more the gardeners, the better.”
“You got it. The Mayan deities are the closest to us. Let’s go there first. What do you think?”
“Do as you say.”
